EDIT: Okay, according to Atomic Fire, again according to the EG headline before it was removed, would be a DS and in fact is a legitimate sequel to Mega Man ZX.

i don't think the difference won't be as much as Megaman and MegamanX (if you look at storyline and timeline), i don't know anything about it except that Capcom officially announced this game, he name and the logo.

BTW you can see a Blue ZX and a big red A, behind the title. perhaps another clue? it might be, no?

ZX A
ZX B
ZX C, etc.

I'm going to go with RD's theory on that this is ZX's version of a "Final Mix" of sorts. which either means the same game with new content, perhaps a couple new missions and Models...


Or there is the option that it could be a ZX 1.5 of sorts, which either allows you to play through the story as another person, or a prequil of sorts, such as playing as Giro going through the maverick wars using Model Z.

It would sure shock a lot of people when it would suddenly be announced that the A stands for Axl.

I wouldn't mind.

Seeing Axl in a better light in a ZX game sounds pretty darn cool ta me.

It actually is pretty silly - because Axl has the Chameleon Chip, he can potentially trnsform into anything he'd ever want to, so having a Model A would completely oust the worth of the others.

Oh yeah, the (R) sign on that logo tells me that it's official!

Which would potentially make it a uber Model only to be used by the final boss.

You know, to be honest, I think a Model Axl is more likely to be created then Model Sigma, as Ciel created the Models (aside from Omega and Weil), and Sigma was dead before the Zero series. We have never heard of Axl's fate, so it's possible he is still "alive" in the time of ZX, or has been turned into a Model by Ciel.

If you're talking to me, you should know better by now to not use the words "Sigma" and "dead" in the same sentence.\, Morph.

It will most likely be a side-effect or rincarnate of W or maybe Ω in some twisted form. Of course, a Copy Model X wouldn't be too shabby.

I'm going to guess it's either a direct sequel, or a game that would be like Battle Chip Challenge, or 4.5 real operation... I don't think Capcom would go Final mix with a game that quickly...

Maybe the reason the haven't explained Axl's fate is that maybe Capcom will get rid of him in X9? Or maybe it'll just have model A in the game? This is a mystery to all of us and were going to have to wait this one out.

I think y'all should just give up on an X9. If they had plans for it, they would've announced it by now. They're too busy on Star Force and ZXA at the moment.

No, not really, because I wasn't much of a fan back then and didn't care to keep track.

I really think the Mother Elf's curse was the Sigma Virus - why else would it have made Zero's original body so much stronger?

And when Zero purified the elf, where did the curse go? You can't physically destroy a virus (without the use of plot holes), so it had to go somewhere - Weil's mechanical body? Ragnarok? The Eurasia ruins? Somewhere. And it'll come back some time... SIGMAAAAAAAA!

If you can't physically destroy a virus, you can't physically create one.

Also, I'd say - IF it hadn't been destroyed - it would have gone into Weil. How else could a normal, cyborg-y man have gotten so huge and strong?

So in that way Model W = Model ∑.

That's because they had alot of planning to do to make X5 big, remember X5 was supposed to be the end of the X series.
