I personally have to go with my third option. I know that others might disagree, but I just thought that the ending was too short and was missing something.

Actually, I misvoted. I loved it. So, that's really one less vote for "alright".

It's got everything, the promise to a fallen friend, the reawakening of an absent warrior, everything.

I did like the context of the ending, but I just thought it could have been so much more. But I see your point of view.

C'mon, Mr Mettaur! It is the first Zero Series game! Not much happened. Wait for the story to get deeper! Its like the first chapter to a book!

Ok, first of all, take into consideration the fact that copy X is now (supposedly) dead. The troops of X minions should have low morale and be confused. When you see them all looking at Zero, what do you think is going through their minds?

Honestly, I think that when Zero says "I'll do whatever you want". he should be speaking to the X clones. Their leader has been destroyed and they should be looking to the one who was powerful enough to do so. Instead, the fighting continues.

The X clones should have pleged their existance to Zero, thus aiding the resistance and rebuilding the world.

Nayus, you do realize that Harupia took interim command of Neo Arcadia, right? And that Copy X was rebuilt eventually, right?

Yes, but thats not in Zero 1.

Of course not, the idea is that they wouldn't defect because those things are happening. We just don't know that yet. The player doesn't always need to know what's going on from the beginning. That makes for a dull game.

Besides, there's no proof that X-drones are capable of concious thought. They seem to be just that, drones.

Yes, Nayus, their X-drones, not X-clones. Drones. Robots. Incapable of sentient thought; they do what they're told, regardless of whether their master is dead or not.

Anyway, as for the game ending, it wasn't earth-shattering or anything- to get my top vote, a story has to really develope, I guess. Most games don't have endings that satisfy me. That's why I like books! But it still wasn't too bad. I was actually more disappointed with Z-3's. (And I really liked Z-4's, although once it hits the US, people may want to disagree with me.)

With all fairness, Ribitta, if you haven't beaten the MMZ, I fail to see why you would go into a topic labeled "Zero One Ending". I think it's safe to say that's warning enough.

Zero 3 I can understand, but spoilers on Zero 2?

EDIT: Well, OK. Fair enough, I suppose. But still, it really breaks the flow of writing to have to spoiler certain things after all this time. I mean it can get really chopped up.
