How about a shield? ProtoMan has one and may hand it to MegaMan a few times in some games, and Sniper Joes got it too (and their relatives in later games), and Zero gets a Shield Boomerang in a few of the MMZ games.

Whether for justice or destruction, - Some are enemies, some are rideable. The justice and destruction part was actually suppose to emphasize X and Vile respectively, as they are usually the prime examples of characters that use the Ride Armors.
I am always ready to lend a hand. - Self explanatory.
I protect my master without a single thought, - They take damage in place of yours, and don't have the Reploid-like qualities to approve or argue, with or against it.
Against great power I can withstand. - All Ride Armors are immune to hazards, such as spikes and lava, which would otherwise mean instant death to your character.
