I recently turned 28, the 26th was my birthday. Therefore, I have this to ask. What were your most rememberable gifts from past birthdays?
I remember on my 11th birthday, I got the video game Mario Bros. 2 for the NES. Me and my brother played that game so much, we found all secrets and hidden shortcuts in the game, before some were revealed in the Nintedno Power magazine. Local kids would pay us to reveal secrets for them.

First of all, happy birthday!!
I have got some memorable gifts, the most notable possibly being the Nintendo Entertainment System. It pretty much kicked off everything related to video games in my life.
It's hard to say which birthday gifts really marked me as I can't exactly say which I received on birthdays or which I got on Christmas. I do remember getting a very nice watch, which I still use to this day. Among the apparently-simple yet nice things, my grandfather gave me a set of mini-screwdrivers that came in handy more than once. That one is worth a mention as he wasn't used to give stuff very often: my grandmother was usually responsible for that!

One of my most memorable birthdays was getting Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid on the same day.
This was back when I had no idea what Metroid even was, not having played the previous games, and I was actually thinking of trading it in for a different game, since that was an option, as long as the game wasn't opened.
My friends at my party pestered me into keeping it and playing it and boy, was I ever happy I did.
Too bad I also ended up keeping Taz-Mania, another game I received with the same return policy...
I was so psyched when I got a Game Boy Advance on my birthday one year. And the damn thing was platinum-colored. Awesome.
The best birthday present I had ever had was actually given to me on my birthday: four totally cuddleable teddy bears, a gift from my late grandfather, which he bought in Switzerland.
It may not have been a totally yaysome game or console or something practical I could use a lot, but it meant a lot to me, especially since one was a very large, old-looking bear, a small little cyan one and two middle-sized ones. I always thought of those bears symbolizing me, my parents and my grandfather.
Too bad my mom threw away three of them when I was ten. Luckily I still have the big grandfather bear, so to me it feels like I still have a connection with my grandfather that way, since I don't have that many memories of him considering he died when I was two or three. (I even forgot that bit...) Well, that is to say, aside from him teaching me to always eat my pudding with my hands.
getting the super mario brother super show on DVD lol
change up...
What are your favorite books to read? I admit that I am not much of a reader, but I do enjoy reading 'World of Warcraft' based books.

I'm fond of The Wheel of Time series by the late Robert Jordan, despite the dull, dry and extremely long prologues each book has. Another series I'm guilty of liking is Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, and the related books such as It, Insomnia, and the Talisman Trilogy (even though the third book has yet to be completed).
The novels by Douglas J. Preston and Lincoln Child are also favorites of mine, particularly their Pendergast series and the related books. Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels are also on the list, but I haven't gotten into the other related NUMA books that are connected to them. I do enjoy reading the Diablo series of novels, though I haven't started the Sin War trilogy yet. I have one of the books... the third one. Blah.
I used to be a big fan of fantasy series. Like RD, I have read the Wheel of Time series, at least in part (up to the fifth book), but when I started on the sixth, it just suddenly seemed dull to me I guess. I also really enjoyed the Dragonlance novels by Margeret Weis and Tracy Hickman, and I still anticipate the upcoming volume Dance of Dragons by George R.R. Martin of the Song of Fire and Ice series.
Oh, and I up and went to randomly buy The Last Concubine by Lesley Downer one day for no apparant reason, but so far it's nice.
I really enjoy the complete line-up of Dune books, including the sequels and prequels done by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. I also like several other science-fiction novels, such as the ones written by Isaac Asimov. Some of the derivate Star Wars novels can be interesting, especially those by Timothy Zhan. I'm amazed at how the novels expand on the Star Wars universe yet stay consistent with each other by avoiding major contradictions.
I haven't had much time to read lately, unfortunately, but I plan to make up for that sometime in the coming months.

I like Ridley Pearson's books.
Another change up at hand...
What are your favorite TV shows?
The Simpsons, are quite funny, but when you've practically seen every episode, they can be kind of boring.
Two and a half Men, Charlie Sheen has always been one of my favorite actors, but if it wasn't for Jake, the gassy dwarf. The show wouldn't be as good.
Family Guy, all I have to say on the subject is a chant, Stewie, Stewie, Stewie...
Stewie Griffin: What the duece!?

Let's see. South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Whose Line Is It Anyways?, Entourage, Lost, Sex and the City (sue me), and The Office.
Usually, I'll only watch shows that are released to DVD. I'd rather that then having to tune-in to every episode that's on to catch the show.
Yeah, I seem to watch literally everything these days.
- South Park
- Family Guy
- Scrubs
- House
- Jericho (Miss this show so goddamn much)
- Supernatural
- Smallville
- Assorted other shows I don't feel like listing.
Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.
I don't watch much these days. Sometimes I catch NCIS. Used to watch Supernatural and Surface... shame they canceled the latter.
Ah, television... Most of the shows I cared about have ended or are in summer break, so I barely check it out these weeks. I've been more focused on DVD box sets.
In no specific order, these are the ones that I can think about right now:
- Star Trek: the Next Generation, Voyager
- Lost
- Stargate SG-1, Atlantis
- The Simpsons
- Monk

I've always been in the same place so far, although I've got a move scheduled in less than a year. I'll still be in Quebec, though!

I used to live in Santa Clarita, down by Los Angeles. Moved due to my mom needing her sisters' help taking care of my grandmother, and because the gang activity was on the rise. I think they finally made the decision to move the day our dog suddenly ran up to one gangbanger and his girlfriend. He had a gun on him, but thankfully he didn't feel threatened by our dog's actions (who wasn't trying to eat him).
I used to live next door. This house had a bigger yard so we traded with the neighbors.
However that backyard is like the Twilight book my mom bought. Untouched, ugly, and only bought cause it looked pretty.
