MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK 2 MAPS ============================= By Mega Boy tommy(at)arobas.net Version 1.0 - June 25th 2002 RANT ---- Do not ask me questions or tips about the game, there are already good guides on the Internet. I suggest you look at Charp/WhizKid's guide on www.gamefaqs.com for the best and latest information. E-mail me only if I have made obvious mistakes in my maps, I will not reply to anything else. Also make sure you have the latest version of those maps. INTRODUCTION ------------ Do you hate exploring places without having any idea where you are going? I do. That's why I have made those maps. You will find all Internet areas, boss areas and navi operator terminals. Items, obstacles and character position are indicated too. You will not find maps of generic terminals since they are all identical. LOCATIONS --------- Here is some information about each area. Internet areas -------------- Den [Densan]: Area 1 - Contains the Warp Central, that leads to each Squares and saves a lot of time. Area 2 - Leads to Koto area 1. Area 3 - Leads to Yum area 1 and Netopia area 1. Official Square Entrance - Waste of space, in my opinion. Official Square - Holds shops, Bulletin Boards, ... Very useful. Koto [Kotobuki]: Area 1 - Leads to Den area 2. UnderKoto - Will be accessible far later in the game. Leads to Undernet area 3. KotoSquare Entrance - Has a one-way warp from the Warp Central to UnderKoto. KotoSquare - Same as Official Square, but has a locked area that needs the GospelID. Yumland [Ajina]: Area 1 - Leads to Den area 3. Area 2 - Leads to Netopia 3. Yum Square Entrance Yum Square - Empty, except for the Change.bat at the end of it. Netopia [Amerope]: Area 1 - Leads to Den area 3. Area 2 Area 3 - Leads to Yum area 3, if you got the GospCode. Closest access to Undernet via Mrs. Millions' warp. Netopia Square Entrance Netopia Square - Holds shops. Undernet [Ula Internet]: Area 1 Area 2 - Access to Under Square. Area 3 - You will not be able to access the lower level until you find UnderKoto's access. Area 4 - Access to WWW areas, once you beat the game and a library of 130+ Battle Chips. Area 5 - Place where you can collect 50000 Zennies three times from the random mystery data each time you jack-in! Area 6 - From now on, you cannot escape battles using the "L" button. Area 7 - Not worth accessing until you get a class SSS Licence. Undernet Square Entrance - Has a one-way access from Undernet area 4. Undernet Square - Has shops and a small Board. WWW Area: (You cannot jack-out in this area, you have to go back to Undernet.) As you go through these areas, you will encounter strange enemies that seem to be invincible. You need to destroy them all of them in one attack! Using a powerful Program Advance should do a trick. Also, the V2 of the bosses there appear only after you jacked-out the first time you beat them. Area 1 - If you beat PlanetMan in area 3, The most powerful navi will wait for you at the entrance. Be prepared! Area 2 - Lots of conveyor belts. Area 3 - Again, having a class SSS Licence is recommended. Boss areas ---------- Gas Computer (AirMan) Here, the expression "Wind at my back" takes another twist... You have to run between blowing clouds and plays with the faucets to access new areas. Bomb Computers (QuickMan) This place is more annoying than anything else because of the broken paths. Nothing complicated here, you can find your way with the maps. Too easy! :P Mother Computer (ShadowMan) You have to use clues to know the right sequence of letters to continue. Follow the green paths on the maps if you are blocked. (It doesn't matter if you play the American or Japanese version, the sequence is the same.) Netopia Castle (KnightMan) Beware, some viruses will chase you and have unwanted effects on you! Vampires (red) will steal half of your HP. Zombies (blue) will return you to the previous grave, but they only look straight. Bandits (green) will steal half of your Zennys, but you can get them back at the chest-like area. (They love to turn left) And they never get through previously locked areas. Knowing this, you can avoid them quite easily. Airplane Computer (MagnetMan) Blue and red magnetic fields allow you to go in only one direction, so you need to find the consoles that will de-magnetize them. Take note that not all of the fields are on the maps, but that shouldn't pose a problem since you remove them before you see the missing ones. Apartment Computers (AirMan, QuickMan, CutMan) There are a lot of teleporters here, but some are broken and will transport you to the wrong areas. So you need to find the "ElBit" that will repair them. And remember that once you repair a teleporter, go through it again to access a new area. This is even more confusing, but if you use the maps, you should not be too lost. You can even complete this part without jacking-out once! Just keep going and repairing teleporters until you reach the end: The yellow path. Gospel Computers (KnightMan, MagnetMan, FreezeMan, ???) At last, a puzzle-free area! ITEMS AND OBSTACLES ------------------- Here is a short description of every icon you'll find on the maps. Mystery Data: Those crystals are found in the cyberspace and contain zennies, items or Battle Chips. There are three kinds: Green: Random items that return each time you jack-in. Blue: One-time item. Purple: One-time locked item. You need an UnLock to get them. Beware, some of those are hidden behind panels or stairs. Shop: Character that will sell you Subchips and Battle Chips. There are three kinds. They are represented by a "Z" (for Zenny). SubChip Shop: Shop that sells unlimited items like UnLock and Untrap. Chip Shop: Shop that sells upgrades and Battle Chips with a limited stock. BugFrag Shop: Shop that sells Battle Chips in exchange of BugFrag pieces. Navi: Also called bosses that you have already beaten. They are represented by a skull. Securiblock: Obstacle that will prevent you of going any further, you need either a Passcode or a certain condition to get rid of them. They are represented as grey blocks with an "X" Conveyor: Belt that will lead you in one direction. Once you step on them, you cannot go back. They are represented as arrow squares. Transport: A teleporter that will transport you to another place of an area. Warp: A teleporter that will transport you to another area. ================================================================================ Usual stuff ----------- V 0.8 Updates: - First version that contains: The maps themselves. Some item and obstacle locations. Description of the items and obstacles. Navis (bosses) position. For those who are interested to know, I have made those maps with MS-Paint with 10X10 pixels sprites. Those maps are copyrighted (2002) to MegaBoy.
