MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK 3 MAPS ============================= By Mega Boy tommy(at)arobas.net Version 0.8 - February 10th 2003 RANT ---- Do not ask me questions or tips about the game, there are already good guides on the Internet. I suggest you look at the guides on www.gamefaqs.com for the best and latest information. E-mail me only if I have made obvious mistakes in my maps, I will not reply to anything else. Also make sure you have the latest version of those maps. INTRODUCTION ------------ Do you hate exploring places without having any idea where you are going? I do. That is why I have made those maps. You will find all Internet areas, boss areas and navi operator terminals. Items, obstacles and character position are indicated too. You will not find maps of generic terminals since they are all identical. LOCATIONS --------- Here is some information about each area. Internet areas -------------- Den, Scilab, Yokayoka, Beach, Undernet: Regular areas where you can find a subway, linking each other; squares that hold shops and boards; warps that lead to other areas; etc... Some sections are blocked, so you need to find the way to unlock them. Also, some paths get tighter along the way, you will need the Press Program to squeeze Mega Man there. Secret Area: (You cannot jack-out in this area, you have to go back to Undernet.) Accessed via the Hot Bath server. As you go through these areas, you will encounter strange enemies that seem to be invincible. You need to destroy them all of them in one attack! Using a powerful Program Advance should do a trick. Thre are tall green walls in the way sometimes. If you have the Great Hammer, you will be able to break them, but they hide a lot of enemies. Also, the V2 of the bosses there appear only after you jacked-out the first time you beat them. If you beat Serenade and spend more than 300 BugFrags in the machine in that area, The most powerful navi will wait for you next time you get there. Boss areas ---------- School Computer (FlashMan) Pretty easy areas, you need the find the keys to unlock the way. Zoo Computer (BeastMan) You need to find the right programs that will scare away the Mettools. Internet Areas (BubbleMan) Chase BubbleMan on the internet by following his traces. Jigoku Computer (DesertMan) You need to find the Victory Data to complete this part. DesertMan appears in that scenario, but not in this area. Hospital Computer (PlantMan) Some plants will block the way or hide important items, you need to equip the Energy Change to convert your fire-based chips into real fire and burn them. Equip the Oil Body to attack fire-based viruses. Hopefully, lots of chips are hidden in the bushes. Internet Areas (Flame Man) Extinguish every fire on the internet by equipping the Energy Change and using water-based chips. WWW Computers (FlashMan, BubbleMan, DesertMan, Plant Man, FlameMan, DrillMan, ???) Stay away from the cranes and red blobs or you will get thrown in the garbage area and start again. Equip the Proto Scope to help you. ITEMS AND OBSTACLES ------------------- Here is a short description of every icon you'll find on the maps. Mystery Data: Those crystals are found in the cyberspace and contain zennies, items or Battle Chips. There are three kinds: Green: Random items that return each time you jack-in. Since they will reappear at different places each time, I did not show them in the maps. Blue: One-time item. Purple: One-time locked item. You need an UnLock to get them. Beware, some of those are hidden behind panels or stairs. Shop: Character that will sell you Subchips, Battle Chips and other misc items. There are three kinds. They are represented by a "Z" (for Zenny). Navi: Also called bosses that you have already beaten. They are represented by a skull. Securiblock: Obstacle that will prevent you of going any further, you need either a Passcode or a certain condition to get rid of them. They are represented as grey blocks with an "X" Conveyor: Belt that will lead you in one direction. Once you step on them, you cannot go back. They are represented as arrow squares. Transport: A teleporter that will transport you to another place of an area. Warp: A teleporter that will transport you to another area. ================================================================================ Usual stuff ----------- V 0.8 Updates: - First version that contains: The maps themselves. Some item and obstacle locations. Description of the items and obstacles. Navis (bosses) position. Directions of warps, transports, etc. V 1.0 Wish-list: - Add remaining items and obstacles position. - Convert the Japanese names to English. For those who are interested to know, I have made those maps with MS-Paint with 10X10 pixels sprites. Those maps are copyrighted (2003) to MegaBoy. You can put them on your web site, unmodified and with proper credit but contacting me would be appreciated to keep track and to send you updates when new versions are available.
