This board needs more Axl love~!!
Mr.Mettaur | July 22, 2006 at 0:11:48
And less posting errors! :)

Love the sketchiness. Especially on the right arm..!!!!

Wow!
Nmaster | July 22, 2006 at 0:15:11
Even though I strongly disagree, this pic is awesome. I love the effect of motion!
tsukasaWAH | July 22, 2006 at 0:52:50
i whole heartedly agree.
plus i think your art style is completely awsome, and i think i'll just stalk you now :c
Author Zoroko | July 22, 2006 at 1:00:06
Yaaay for stalkers and kind comments~!! XD
Zero-One | July 23, 2006 at 18:38:29
Zoroko is easily a favorite ^^

Everything that you draw is like
O_______O

yeah.
Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 24, 2006 at 19:29:46
Okay, I may dislike Axl, but I appreciate good art. The pose and dynamics on this are great, and I like this very "doodly" style of shading. Makes it sparkly!

Aww....why do people hate Axl? ;o;

Sure x-7 was awful but.....common~!! X8 tottally made up for it~!!
HollowTorment | July 28, 2006 at 4:35:38
Yeah I hate Axl too, haha. XD But I think it's because he's so..not..X series material. I dunno.

Anyways, that torso and his metal underpants look far too small, even at this angle, but the stuff in good view is pretty bitchin. He reminds me of the psychotic Kefka you drew though...is Axl psycho too? Actually that would make a lot of sense. I really like the detail on the jewel..things, how they do appear to be "bubbles" overtop a metal/who-knows-what base.
Author Zoroko | July 28, 2006 at 10:06:54
This was to be a more exaggerated perspective piece so the features of his torso and below are indeed too small as you would say, but on purpose. ^^

Here is the pic if I took it even further and drew more on it. It's got even more messed up perspective: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v163/Zoroko/axl.jpg

Mr.Mettaur | July 21, 2006 at 18:08:58
And sketchy drawings like you back.

Absolutely love the cigarette smoke.
Nmaster | July 21, 2006 at 21:09:35
This is really nice. I could see this in an animation, it must be how everything looks.
Zoroko | July 22, 2006 at 8:51:40
Great work! The simplicity in your pieces is great because you can pull it off so well! Love the pose!
tsukasaWAH | July 22, 2006 at 9:55:47
Holy..i really love this.
Is that a ladybug on his hand? i didn't notice that 'til just now <_<

I love his hat :3

...or supposed to be. A picture for Ri of her character...Ri. Hee...it's late at night and she's gotten herself a cup of tea. ...I believe I made her hair too long...and I dunno if it even looks like her...
I tried, Ri. ;_;

EDIT: Thanks for all the comments, guys. =^-^= *Blushes* I'm not used to so many compliments...they were especially nice to read since I was rather pissed off before (I almost ripped my leg off at the local amusement park today, after only riding 2 rides, and had to go to the hospital; nothing's broken, but I have to take pain meds D: And I didn't get any of the delicious park pizza, damnit!) but I feel a bit better now. ^-^;
Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 20, 2006 at 22:39:35
... *Jaw Drops.* *Glomps Kat.* *Glomps Kat again.* SQUEEEEE!!! YOU DREW ME! Or... my character. Who is essentially me. WhatEVER! XD I LOVE it! I REALLY like how you did the hair! And honestly... The length of the hair doesn't matter much, 'cause my character's hair is getting longer at the same speed mine is, so if it's not there now, it will be in a month or two, lol. (My hair grows FAST.) Despite what you were saying about not knowing how to do clothes and junk, I ADORE the shirt! It's all cute and baggy! I'm not sure why, but I REALLY love how you did her face, too. ...I want a cup of tea now! XD Speaking of which, that's the only crit I have with the whole thing- the mug looks... off, I guess. Like it's shaped funny. But meh, the rest is really great, so that's a tiiiiiny thing. I love your shading style. I seriously do. Especially for the skin. *Glomps you again.* THANK YOU!!! *Goes chibi-eyed.*

It's always wonderful to get fanart. ^__^ I think you really made her day. <3

I love how soft the lighting here looks, even if it's done in solids. =O
I especially like the detail on the folds of her shirt. ((orange!! Perfect! XD ))
Her lips are really cute ^ ^ As is her eye. The nose looks a little big to me, but eh.
The hair's nice D=
Even though it's not colored in the exact same style as the rest of the pic, it still looks really good. ^__^
Shadowfire | July 21, 2006 at 10:10:57
Wheeee! Ri love! =D I've tried drawing her so many times, then halfway through, I'd just give up.. D= You're a better person than I!

That eye is really cool.. I love it for some reason. And.. CLOTHING FOLDS =D. That hand is sooo good... what a hard pose to draw, too! This whole thing is win.. <3
Zoroko | July 22, 2006 at 3:09:43
A little bit of gift art can make anyone happy! I never met anyone who didnt like giftart. XD

Anyway I think the draping of the clothes is nicely done and the suttle change in colors in the face and clothes are also a nice touch.

Whose power is to levitate badly-drawn Game Boy Advances, cause poor Ciel to get inevitably knocked out, and to make annoying grey dots appear all over a picture where none had previously existed.
Unfortunately nobody had told him that he would have to wait for ZX to have a hope of rumble paks. So he died.

I wasn't entirely sure about the background of his boss room; all I really remember was that it had some sort of masonry and an ominous full moon. Also, I will now track down grey dots around the world and kill them. With a knife.
Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 20, 2006 at 22:41:38
Okay, for some reason, I find this flipping hilarious. Just... the combination of bosses and all. You did a nice job on the shading... It's subtle, but it adds some shape and depth. I liek the room behind, too. Nice work.

Crazy Razy and Big Eye, two of the biggest enemies in the first Mega Man game. I figure they definitely don't get drawn much. :hehe:

The background is something of an attempt at Ice Man's stage, which I think is the only stage you can find both of them.

Ri: Why don't I... use tones... on the snow...? Er... there's a very good reason for that and it's actually *coughcoughhackwheezcoughahackahack*. So you see there's a good explanation and I'm not just lazy. :P

I can't believe I forgot to shade that front door part on Big Eye! I always mess up like that. Thanks for the comments, all.
Worenx | July 20, 2006 at 3:00:54
Oh geeze, I hate those guys. Especially that Crazy Razy thing. ~_~; Big Eye is harder in Powered Up than in the original; his eye is his weakpoint(original, you just had to shoot) and it opens and closes(original, it was always vulnerable). Well, it is good to see them here... I guess. XP

Anyway, nice pic overall, Heatman.EXE. Then again, your work is always nice. Lovin' the tone work, man.

Well, I couldn't finish in time... again... This is, what, my third one in the past few weeks? Am I slipping, or is Father Time not my friend? *sigh* Naruto. Rasengan. Inspired by Rock-Lee. Unfinished. Blah.

Nmaster: That blue stuff is called Chakra, and it's something ninjas use to perform a jutsu. Sometimes, its visible, sometimes its not. Best explanation I can give. :hehe:

Buscow: Funny how you're talking like you're some ultimate artist. - -; But, alas, I must agree; looks a little... bleh...

Ri: Yeah, I messed up the face a bit. XP Here's the reference I used: http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/7472/narutoscreen133ge.jpg
Had to improvise with the space I had. :hehe:
Nmaster | July 19, 2006 at 21:12:36
Nice line art. I don't really know what the blue stuff is supposed to be (energy?). But hey, I don't watch/read Naruto.
buscow | July 19, 2006 at 21:49:27
u shuda finished it it look prety bad
Shadowfire | July 19, 2006 at 22:00:37
Well, buscow, since you're obviously an expert at oekaki, why don't you blow us away wih your picture-drawing skills?

I for one think that the lineart looks pretty good, although unfinished.
Kyatto | July 19, 2006 at 22:41:00
Hey buscow, you should've gone back to 8th grade to learn proper spelling, grammar, and keyboarding techniques. >_> Cocky punk.

Anyway. I also think the lineart looks pretty good...especially the nose. I like noses. : O
Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 19, 2006 at 23:18:47
buscow... Shove off. You probably couldn't draw your way out of a cardboard box.

Anyway, Worenx, it's too bad you couldn't color, but your line art style isn't too bad. His nose looks kinda funky, like his face is squashed up a bit, but overall, nice work.

Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 19, 2006 at 23:14:22
It gives it an interesting effect. You need to practice a bit with your shading, and I'd still like to see a background, but that's kinda nifty.

Sorry if the coloring was a bit rushed, but I didn't have time to finish. BTW, It didn't take 3 hours, it actually took around 40.
Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 19, 2006 at 8:49:01
No one else can see how much time you spent on it, anyway. Anyway, this look pretty good. The coloring and shading is nice- really adds a lot to the picture. Now just add a background, and you'll be all set. ^^

-Ri
Heatman.EXE | July 19, 2006 at 13:48:50
I'm assuming you meant 40 minutes and not hours. :hehe:

Anyway, nice job. The coloring definitely helped, and I think working with that you should be able to make some great stuff.
The main thing for me is that symbol: it looks really spray-painted on. Maybe if you were to finish it out at the edges of each extending part it would have that sharper look to it. Also, there are some color leaks, but most are grey so it doesn't detract that much from the pic.
Anyway, keep on going at it, I can tell you're getting even better with the program.

Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 19, 2006 at 8:48:10
That picture's pretty cute. ^^ I do like the blush. The eyes seem a tad far apart to me, but overall, it looks nice. I think maybe you might want to make your colors a bit more solid, though... it looks a tad messy. Adding a littl background would help, too.

Moderator Rioni Riishu | July 18, 2006 at 15:06:25
Um... it's hard to tell what it even is... Try to put a bit more thought into making your picture a little... easier to decipher? I had to look at it for awhile to figure it out. I like the hand, but... the arm got lost somewhere, and it probably would have been best to have his whole face in the picture, not going off the page like that.

Oooh, I want some of that! *Heads to Sams Club.*

...eh, best? That's subjective, so I don't think so. As for the picture...using the dodge/burn tools is a cheap way of shading, and rarely looks good unless you know what you're doing, so my advise is to stay away from it.
Worenx | July 19, 2006 at 18:16:13
Best Oekaki-er, eh? Well, this isn't a very good start, I'd have to say. I mean, I can tell what you were going for; I can see Naruto with his fox demon hands and the chakra for the attack, but... honestly, I think you could use a little more of a thought process... I mean... he looks deformed... - -;;
