By popular request, and since IOBoard now has it's own forum, here's one for IOekaki!
This forum is for discussion related to the IOekaki script, the installed system over at http://www.interordi.com/mega_man_pc/ioekaki/, to report any bugs or problems, or just to talk about the community and such. I've moved the older topics related to this place already. If I missed any, just tell me and I'll get them too.
Topics that don't fit here will be either moved or deleted as needed.
I'll drop this here in case that someone reads it.
I'm currently reviewing everything on Interordi.com as I work my way toward making everything compatible with PHP 7. Converting any system is a non-trivial task as I need to dive it and replace several methods or rewrite entire functionalities. Anything interactive is affected. I'd rather focus my efforts on pages and tools that people actually use.
I've slowly been cutting off the oekaki accesses over the past coup ...
I have tried my first attempt at Manga pics but I used Autodesk Sketchbook Pro Mobile. Does it belong here or elsewhere? Seeing as how this forum appears moribund, maybe no one will even notice!
I am not sure if this is discussed anywhere, but I really(desperately) want to draw. I have a very good idea on what to draw and I don't feel like using my own drawing programs to draw this out.
So I came to the Oekaki here! The only bad thing, is that I can't log in somehow. D: It is saying my username is incorrect or my password is wrong!
This here is a fallacy because one:
I do remember my passwords! D:< No lie!
two:
I wouldn't be even posting this thread bec ...
Well I thought we'd start a themes topic.. Just incase you're too shy to PM Kia (I know I am LOL) or you're possibly afraid of getting lost in a sea of PMs and/or oekaki posts..something like that. Oh man just post some theme ideas. >.>
Extra points if they're Megaman related. ;)
Which brings my theme idea..
Megaman Levels. I know that's a weird one, but I was thinking persons can illustrate parts of their favorite MM levels..or least favorite if they're masochists. Megaman and comp ...
My java is completely fucked up currently, and whenever I minimize my window the applet goes blank, and I can't draw anymore..doesn't show up. So I was thinking of rolling back to a java that actually WORKS.
So can everyone that sees this topic tell me if the oekaki works and what version of java you have?
I'm a dreadful artist and I DON'T LIKE IT...so if can you help me in anyway i wil be forever in your dept(i know thats corny but how other way would i'd get you to help me) post away. :) Edited by darkvirus on March 21, 2008 at 17:14:07.
It's not a secret to any of the currently active oekaki members that the board's activity level is far from it's peak. I have a few ideas to explain that, but maybe you've got some ideas yourself, and I'd like to hear you out (yes, all two of you).
Much like the website as a whole, the fact that Capcom isn't giving that much attention to the Mega Man series has a clear effect on how many new members can be attracted, or how often past users think about return ...
I'm creating this topic to echo the posts done on the oekaki announcements area related to the mini-contests. Some people might only happen to check on this board during the month yet would be motivated to enter, and we want as many applicants as possible to see what people can do when given a proper theme!
Right now, for the duration of September, a mini-contest is held with the following theme: Which Mega Man character do you especially hate? The full details are in the latest anno ...
As the website approaches it's ninth anniversary, I'm happy to announce something that hasn't been seen for a few years: a full-scale oekaki drawing contest!
Unlike the mini-contest formula that has been used a few times already, this is a much larger event, with nothing held back: judging, larger drawing area, prizes for the top three winners, and more!
A theme has been selected for this latest contest: crossover. This ca ...

Ah! I see! Cool. Yeah, those bots are beginning to get annoying too. XD
Hey Doc, I've been meaning to mention this to for a while now: I think on your next website update, you should make account registration on the oekaki board slightly more secure. For years now, spam bots and people who never use their accounts keep adding to the Members list number and stay there - it makes it hard for me to actually find some previous members who were active before. Browsing through pag ...
I was sketching tonight, thankfully it wasn't anything hardcore and over the top.
Now see, I've had an old unsubmitted picture on the server for months and months now. I didn't want to continue it, so I did as the message says and ignored cause it will be overwritten.
So, I finish my sketch tonight and upload like usual...says it sends to the server, goes to the update page. Of course, it's my old unsubmitted picture because oekakis hate my guts and enjoy watching m ...
With the new contest and obvious couple of people that are going to come in and post one thing and leave to try and make an easy 20 bucks (me miffed? Never) I was wondering if the members there can make their own contests.
Now of course I'm not asking for galleries or anything but contests that can be entered or not with prizes like free art requests or something. Nothing major that would cause lawsuits

Resume Glitch? Time for another irremedibable glitch that makes Met lose his work Started by Mr.Mettaur on 1 December 2007 at 19:55
Well, at least let's hope not.
I've been plugging away at a drawing for about the past week, and within the past few times I've saved and resumed later, I've noticed that the applet isn't saving some of the changes I made. This morning I spent an hour working on it, saved, and went to do something else. When I went back to it, all the changes I had made were gone, and the drawing was back to the same way that it was before I started that hour-long progress.
I know that animation needs to be saved for the resume feature to work on oekakis. But I must ask, can you prevent the animation to be saved on the server after you upload it to the board?
Just thought I'd ask instead of trying it myself, lol.
Doc, I know I'm probably the only one who cares.. But I wanted to ask if there could be any way that, in a future board release maybe, we could add our old pictures to our profile?
I went through the old oekaki pages (whew, what a slew of crap) and turns out I have 302 pictures. I thought I had 299. But of course the board itself says 203. So yeah, I thought it would be cool if the older pictures could get linked to the newer profiles somehow. :o
Ok this has been bothering me for quite some time. Do you master Oekaki people actually use the free hand tool? I can't even fathom how you would control that with the mouse, and I have a pretty decent wireless laser mouse myself. So, do you generally use the freehand or bezier and line tools?
I dunno, I thought it would be good having a thread to rant in..hahahaha.
But yeah, are there any genres of art, or characters, or anything you can't stand on ANY oekaki?
I'm personally sick to death of seeing DeviantArt "IDs" posted on oekakis. They all look the damn same, with the character representing themselves..or their favorite original character they've made, and all this pointless text on the side about how they hate homophobes or whatever.
I have been trying to work on an oekaki, yes I know "Duck and cover!" And I have been messing around with colors and I cannot find a good lightly tanned skin color, do any of you know one?
Okay, me and several other people have a bit of a problem with the "new and improved" oekaki board. That is? You guessed it- we use Firefox. (Explorer just didn't like me- kept killing my oekakis.) Well... If any of you have Firefox that get on the oekaki, go take a look, and you'll see what I mean- it DESTROYS the format utterly and makes the whole thing an eyesore! I don't know about everyone else, but I'm about ready to boycott the board, it hurts my eyes so bad.
Requests! for those who are horrible at drawing Started by Ribitta on 6 June 2006 at 4:11
I have seen lots of requested pictures and I thought why not make a topic for it? People can deny the request and the requests can be aimed towards towards a specific member or just for anyone. Anyway, I was hoping someone could draw an Elecman head, where half of it is the EXE version and the other is the robot master version.
This is where you can ask for tips on the Oekaki board then people that can answer will hopefully post good answer you by giving you good tricks and/or tips for the question you asked about your pics.
Ask/answer away.:D Edited by django on July 13, 2006 at 7:13:46.
Okay, I should have brought this up ages ago, but I just remembered today.
I personally found it \'unfair\' in a sense, that with the contest, all the pictures got were ratings and that was it. Hell, for the board itself, we\'re not allowed to rank pictures..so does anyone else find it ironic that all there was for the contest, were rankings?
I\'m not dissing the judges or anything, but I\'d rather know WHY so-and-so got eighth..and not have just a \"6.5\" by the picture.
