This forum is dedicated to the X Series in the Mega Man realm. For a long time only including Mega Man X1 to X4, it quickly evolved in a GameBoy sub-series and new titles. Capcom tried several new things with this series, getting both positive and negative feedback from fans. Moving to 3D is the latest attempt for a series made to be 2D. Good or bad? Only time will tell.

I've started to take a look at Mega Man X7 for the PC (it may not be everyone's favourite X title and the PC version is not a great port but I was interested in playing it again). There is already a patch that translates this using PS2 files created by Twig, however the sounds are incomplete and the videos are only subtitled. I've also been looking at the sound clips in Twig's files and some of them are too high pitched.
I installed megaman x5 for pc on my p3 866 and the game just runs too fast on it.
even when gameplay is set to slow :/
enemies move way too fast to avoid, megaman seems to be in hyperdrive ..
anyone know how to work around this?
seems like the game is written for a 486 or so and doesn\'t run well on faster pc\'s :/
We knew it was coming, and we now have the first details on the Japanese release of the Mega Man X Anniversary Collections. It'll be two packages (X1-X4 and X5-X8) for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
If I'm not mistaken, that's SENSEI's art on the two large images in that article. That makes me super happy, he was the artist responsible for the character artwork for the X5-X7 era, which is my favorite on the visual aspect. It's so sharp, clean and colorful!
A website dedicated by Mega Man X fans has been made in support for a potential revival of the X Series. With enough fan devotion, Capcom has considered creating another Mega Man game based off fans' feedback and passion. It worked for Mega Man 9, now a website has been made to help bring enough fans together to bring about a new X title.

So I've been boning up on my X series trivia in the past couple weeks, and I seem to have hit a conundrum that I think could either spark interesting theories and speculation, or will simply be answered in one post and then this topic dies.

After seeing a community come together around the idea of X9, I had a bit of hope for the series. However, I've finally realized that I love the series for completely different reasons than the majority of the fan community. Today's new fans are the type that like Axl and just want more games in the same vein as X7 and X8. I don't want to sound cold for saying it, but I really dislike these fans and what the series has/will become.
I know this would likely not happen soon, but what would you like to see in the PSP remake of Megaman X2?
- Zero as a playable character once you collect his three body parts. Something like Beat.
- Better Weapons, Cracking enemy barriers, etc.
- Timed Missile in Overdrive Ostrich level. If missile isn't destroyed in time, you die.
- Intermissions with an objective like seen in the Bonus levels of Donkey Kong Country 3.
- Easy, normal, and xtreme difficulty levels.
