I didn't see a topic about this so I think it's safe to make one. As you may or may not have noticed that I have not been on in a while. That is a little because of a new game I got called Jump Ultimate Stars for DS and that I found a new forum that lets you post up your friend codes or make clans and what not.

Enough small talk though. This is Jump Ultimate Stars or JUS.

I will start off by saying that this is a great game! It is an import game though. Yes that means it's only in Jap and there is no option to change it to English. It came out in Japan last year and I heard about it last month. If you ever look at the Shonen Jump magazine you know all bout the characters in this game. It's a platform fighter like smash but with manga characters. There is about 300 characters to unlock but only about 75 or so are fighting characters the rest are support characters. It has manga characters from Bleach, Naruto, DBZ :D, One Piece, and Rurouni Kenshin.

Story/Single Player
It's got a basic but fun story to it. You visit each manga's planet and take on it's characters to unlock them for yourself. Each mission on each planet has a curtain objective(s) that you must pass to unlock things for your library. When you unlock a character, you can evolve them with points you earn in a shop to unlock better forms or attributes for that character or a character related to it.

Graphics
It has 2D graphics but I like it. At least they make the attacks pretty detailed.

Gameplay
The gameplay is basic and easy to pick up on. It is up to 4 players and is fun online.

Online Play
The online is fun most of the time. It gives the game a lot of replay ability. After you face someone online who you think is real good you can save their team in your data so that you can maybe get some tips from your rivals. You can also send teams to your friends.

In conclusion I give this game a 9/10!
I bought this game at http://www.play-asia.com but im sure you could find this game for cheap used at ebay or craigslist. Since this game is in Jap I had a hard time figuring out what was going on sometimes so I used Gamefaqs walkthrough a lot!

Yeah but a lot of characters are unbalanced so the kinda balance out.

Finally someone makes a topic for this.
This game is awesome, especially the Wi-Fi play. It has countless strategies & plays that can be created with ever deck. I've had it for a while but I still play it.

I'm really sorry for reviving an old topic, but I'm just wondering if Jump Ultimate Stars has been released here in North America yet. I checked a few website but don't mention the game to be.
