Now that the community has matured a bit and that we have to means to keep things under control, I believe it's time to reintroduce the board RPGs and forum games of old.

A board RPG, much like the well-known "An RPG" topic, bascially involves several members alternating posts to slowly but surely build-up a story able to be developed for years. A forum game usually implies shorter posts made to entertain the members with a posting chain. A game that used to be popular here was "post a fact about the member who posted before you". It's easy for either of these types of topic to turn to spam, and the normal board rules apply here, so the moderation will be done as usual.

Note that posts made in this forum will not count toward your displayed post count. As such, spamming here will get you nowhere: your level or RPG stats won't be affected!

Posts that do not belong here will be either moved or deleted. Spam under the guise of a forum game will not be tolerated.

Heh, good times, me thinks. As long as the post count is turned off, I'd say everything should more or less remain under control.

I think that Gack! should be moved here too. The reason should be obvious.

Being without forum games for so long, it might feel kind of weird to start posting in them again.

All in all, I'll bet this forum should definitely attract and keep some more members during Mega Man's times of absence from the gaming world.

And this is the main goal of this operation. It takes a bit of focus away from "Mega Man" and moves into a "general discussion" mold to keep the board active despite Capcom's slowdown with the franchise. Besides, Interordi.com isn't all about Mega Man, and this applies to this message board too.

After all, this forum is part of Dr. Cossack's lab. Clearly Bright Man, Dive Man, Drill Man, Dust Man, Pharaoh Man, Ring Man, Skull Man, and Toad Man are of greater importance here than Mega Man.

So this means that other topics along the same lines as "The RPG" such as ones that perhaps take place in alternate universes or other settings and such? (Not to say that this RPG hasn't already touched basis on almost everything.) But yeah, just clarrifying since the original rules basically only made that thread unique as the one exception to such a rule.

On another note. The true posts counts are revealed!
