This is probably my "I'm still alive" post for the year. I still lurk here from time to time, if only to cringe at some of my old writing. It's nice to know that I have somewhere to go when I get nostalgic.

Over the last month, I finally opened and played this through. Actually, I started playing Zero in anticipation for Gunvolt, then just kept playing and forgot about Gunvolt. I can't believe these games are a decade old already, life just gets in the way...

I'd played Z1 back in high school, over and over on a cart borrowed from a friend. Replaying that felt good. The rest of the series wasn't quite what I expected, but good enough that I feel bad about missing these when they were new. I was sad when it all ended. I know there's ZX and ZXA, but I enjoyed this series on its own.

In my opinion, the Zero games still form the tightest, best designed series of the Mega Man world. They're fun, mostly consistent with each other, are worth repeated plays and have great production values for the time.

I'm currently playing Gunvolt. I think you'll enjoy the game once you get around to trying it!
