Go to that link using Inernet Explorer and keep in mind you need to install this plugin before you get ANYTHING to work. http://www.va-sa-ra.co.jp/mgx2/win/MGX2Setup.exe

After that you need to scroll down the page I sent you before until you see Briggs World. Open that. I hosted that a while back when it was new. Not even the Japanese themselves use it hardly. But its a nice little chat thing.

I'm usually busy or... actually, I'm usually in bed. Yeah, my life's not that exciting. But now that we talk about upgrades, something that doesn't freeze my browser every time I log in would be good. As usual, I'm not much help.

Yea if only Meta gate x for personal by VA-SA-RA was pretty sweet back in the days of .hack//kyat.

In answer to the other questions at least, I believe it should probably be the Interordi chat, and that Minecraft and other users should always feel welcome. It's not like we only go there to discuss Mega Man! (I think?)

I like how the current chatroom is integrated with the messageboard, but... I never go in there because I never see anyone else using it.

Do people really even use chatrooms these days? I'm totally out of the loop with the internet these days. Back when I knew what I was doing we had chatrooms, message boards.. but now it's just a bunch of social networking and I don't get it.

I like the chat/board integration too... But since I can see who's in there before I enter, I only ever go in there when I see that someone else is in there first, and between that and just the asynchronous scheduling, I guess makes it difficult to get anything started...

This is getting deep. Have the collective masses given up on attempting to interact and getting to know one another through conversation and instead turned their attention inward with sending out bite-sized clips of tweets and wall posts for others to +/-? Any time I actually log into IRC, everyone's gone idle anyway. It seems to have become a background thing rather than the focus, when our senses have so many inputs vying for their attention.

I can't really speculate on what others want. I still like chatrooms now and again, especially when it's full of friends who behave like they actually want to be there.

Maybe chatrooms need a gimmick now... Like the chatrooom attached to a livestream of a game or a party or whatever. Legends Station occasionally does chats on iScribble, so it becomes more of an event to gather, watch and participate in the drawing. I've been to a few. I'm not saying we should go and try to copy one of those, but... Want to try copying one of those?

I use the internet for Mabinogi, Vindictus, various other MMOs, Minecraft, this board, wiki, youtube, and Facebook. If I do any chatting its with friends over facebook, MMOs, or Minecraft server.

I'm fine with the current chatroom so long as people start using it again, but if you do go for an alternative, please don't make it Facebook-based. I don't have a Facebook account, and God willing, I'll keep it that way.

O.o I couldnt see how this would be on facebook anyway. I just get on Facebook more than anything these days.

I normally hang out on IRC some of the time, so I could idle and occasionally speak participate if the room is moved to (back) IRC.

The only reason I don't drop in more often is because it's been power-idle city all day every day. I try to drop in a little more often now that I'm semi active again, but mostly I just stare at idle Flashman and wonder whatever happened to him.

Off topic, but i'm trying to do a remake of the Rockman Zero manga series,so if anyone has comments or advice, send it to me, please.

Just to clear things up:
Flashman is a server bot.
NotUE is my desktop
o_o is me
Sekhmet is Masterlink's (Reikart) VPS.

The rest are generally around, but not always paying attention; it's pretty common on IRC to leave your client open a large amount of time. My desktop tends to be on 24/7, likewise with ML's VPS (and FiX and Air for that matter leave their clients up all the time).
This kind of thing is something that's not easy to get used to when you're used to other forms of chat, but it worked more or less fine back in the #mmpc days when a few more people hung around.
There's also a nice little story of something interesting that happened on the channel, but that's for another time~

Ah, I remember the old Bravenet chatroom that ol' Porobot used to have. I remember dropping by every Sunday afternoon ( my currant time ) to talk to some other folks whose whereabouts I no longer know about; ie Cyber Kujacker, ZeroEx, EBlues, Bostich, etc, etc, etc. Ah, those were the days, ain' t it?

Well I'm really not big in chat these days as life goes on. But I surely did enjoy those times.

PS; and I would love to get into the chatroom anonymously every once in a while to fool Doc
