Hey there, Interordi and Creeper's Lab. You might have noticed I got a bit sentimental recently in a topic, especially if you're one of the Interordi Classic® members I got a hold of later. It might be a little odd that I'm so attached to this old place, but I'll go ahead and own it after being here for 15 years, especially after my own kind of moment of clarity thing related to this topic which isn't necessary for this post, but gives you a little insight. If you want to read what went down with that, hit the spoiler tag. It's not important though, so feel free to skip it. It's a little depressing and this topic should be happy. Also, this topic isn't about just me. It's about all of us.

Spoiler (click to toggle)
I had to go through and secure almost 400 accounts from the past 20 years and found a lot of old messages and emails. I realized how many people I lost touch with over the years that meant something to me in one way or another, and there's no trace of almost all of them; even the old websites are gone or going. I got sentimental and nostalgic because while most of our online friends aren't life-changing, they were still friends and meant SOMETHING to us, even if it was just someone to grind levels in an MMO with. It oddly enough kind of made me deal with the sad, strange mortality that you feel watching the digital landscape change over two decades.

A lot of us left Interordi because the board was 'dead' or a lot of the people we used to know had already left. Others had life get in the way. Still more just kind of faded out completely on accident, thinking that it's only been a few years but it's already been seven. It's easy to get nostalgic thinking about the people we used to bump around with in cyberspace, here and everywhere else. Sometimes it makes us sad but we're also happy to have known and interacted with them. It's important not to dwell on it though, because at the worst it's bittersweet and that's not bad. People move on, grow away from things, get busy with things that are more important. That's healthy, natural and completely fine. I'm sure everyone can understand that.

Sometimes they come back for a visit, though. Either as a lurker or by logging in or just popping into our IRC or Discord server for a minute. Things have changed for everyone over the years; some more than others. I figured maybe we should have a designated place for our Interordi and Creeper's Lab alumni to check in, catch people up on where their lives went, and maybe get a smile or two reading about how their old friends have grown as well. It's been five, ten, maybe fifteen years but you're always welcome here, even if it's just for a minute or two. So hey, log right on in and tell us what's happened in your life since you first joined, since you last logged in, and feel free to make it as personal or impersonal as you like. We're going to feel good just knowing you're still out there. We've actually had some members pop in various places for a quick hello a couple of times in the Remember...thread and this one here.

If you need help recovering your old account because you forgot the password and / or you don't have access to your old email address. (who can be blamed for abandoning an email address like XxMyChemicalRollmance69xX@hotmail.com ?) get a hold of our GLORIOUS LEADER via his email which is right here under this hyperlink to try to keep out those pesky web-crawling spiders that we worked so hard to finally stomp out. <--- Hey Doc, did you miss this one? He'll be more than happy to help you out.

If you remember Interordi / Creeper's Lab - whether it's been a day or a decade - we'd love to hear from you. Fill us in on the bigger details of your life or just say hi - you'll always be welcome here.

I'll start us off. I joined here in 03 when I was 17. It's been 15 years since and I'm still around. I've changed a lot over the years, and not in the way I did back when I was a walking identity crisis. I'm laid back, now. I don't have anything to prove. I've had a couple wives, a couple kids - I even kept one! Of the wives, I mean! I came back to Interordi proper back in 2011 and helped build The Creeper's Lab into what it is today. Doc actually had me as staff for an amount of time I can't place until I got burnt out, if you can believe that. I went to college, got a degree and decided not to use it. I've grown up a lot since the days of roflcoptering around in IRC chat over a 24k dial-up modem. After 15 years, that's probably a good thing. I plan on being here as long as here exists, and I really look forward to hopefully seeing a few familiar faces.

Nothing exceptional happened while I was away. A lot of my time went towards the other RP board I mentioned which I've also stopped visiting. I spent a few years on there while finishing university. I graduated and didn't do anything with my degree. Found a call centre job that pays well with good benefits. Recreationally, I still enjoy cosplaying with friends. I've been to a few US conventions mainly because they're held at waterparks and fun even without the con.

I still like megaman. Fire Emblem became something I got into heavily as well. Persona 5 too. Full time work afforded me the ability to buy nice things related to these interests, but carries the downside of not providing the time to enjoy those things.

Otherwise, I was in a long term relationship with someone for about 2 years before we broke it off because long term goals didn't align. It ended on decent terms.

That's all for now I guess.

I'm in my mid 20s these days and fully sold out to being a corporate management consultant with a bad travel schedule and horrific living habits. On the other hand, I'm engaged, so it's weird coming back to a place I used to hang out on before going to piano lessons at home as a kid. Still play games when I can, but that time is scarce since I'm in a MBA program, planning a wedding, and working the job I do.

Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.

Sorry I missed the big sentimental reunion checks notes a whole three freaking years ago.

But if you meant this post to be a place to check in, then I happily will now.

(April 1st always makes me think of this place... for no reason in particular... =P)

I've always been quiet, but I grew up here, in a sense. I joined in 2003, when I was 14.

I sort of shut down as a person in 2011 when sad stuff happened, but I'm doing a lot better now! I moved to a new place and started working with wire-bending robots, and now I'm dusting off my old programming skills, trying to get into some hobbyist game design.

It's nice that this place is still here, even if it's quiet. It has a special place in my heart.

Brooo! Maceman it's good to see you! I understand April 1st reminding you of this site. Same here! Hah.
I'm back as well, for about the same reasons. ^_^

Walking identity crisis is a great way to describe yourself, Wind.

I am employed, have been stuck with my partner for...15 years now? Some days you enjoy it, some days you want to be released from the hell that is domestic partnership. We met on GameFAQs back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

I still talk to Nec every day, it's been 22 years come this July that we've been friends. We met on Bolt Kraken/Slash Raptor's Megaman Outpost in 2001. It's still on WebArchive if you are incredibly bored and want to see 22 year old posts from a bunch of dumb kids.

And speaking of extremely old friends, I recently found my very good friend who went by the username Dynamo 22 years ago, through Twitter. Just a random message "Is the username Dynamo familiar to you?" and off I went. I won't be a weirdo and say I looked for her for years after she disappeared....or maybe I will. We'll see.

I tried going into Docs discord a while back. I just...don't like discord unfortunately. I only use it for PMs. I feel that discord is too insular and cliquey. On a forum I have to endure the idiots and learn tolerance, as they have to do with me. I feel on discords too many times there's a clique of either a small group that will shout you down, or a mod/admin that will silence you for the most petty reasons.

In fact I got "shadowbanned" because I didn't want distasteful imagery in a Megaman discord, lol.

I'm not saying Doc would do any of this of course, but the issue too is that it's more for Minecraft and Steam etc now. Which of course is just fine, it's just not for me.

You can find me on Discord if you really want, just uh...PM me on here? Are PMs still a thing? You can also just message me on Twitter if need be: https://twitter.com/hollow0zero or yes, I am still on DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/hollowzero

I still draw as noted by the links. I just don't do commissions anymore. Work and life get in the way of all that.

Speaking of that, I'm tired. I'm going to end this post for now.

That's fair, although I'm sure that many others would say the exact same thing about forums. :) I prefer forums for a lot of stuff over Discord, but the majority disagrees with me on this, so I do what I can. This place is here to stay.

Funny thing, I recently had someone throw a fit for asking them to respect the family-friendly rule on our Discord server. It's not like I've had the same guideline on Interordi since day one or anything.

To anyone reading this, keep an eye on the Announcements forum or wherever you get your news from, I've got a few things coming up that aren't Minecraft-oriented.

I fell off the face of the earth for 10 years or so after Capcom Community pooped itself. Some of you may have known me as HiGGyPac.
