Just for a heads up, I have currently collected some stuff. Granting more opportunities for this project along with a one or two more.
I already have a 16-bit rendition of the X4-6 Light Capsule, currently working on the X7 and X8 capsules.
Another Fact: Xodus was last creation of the group.

A few small things about this particular project, the two animal bosses you see are mid-bosses. They tag team against the heroes. The boss with the unique name, is the main boss of the area. The Secret bosses, such as Zanon and Reign, are not needed to defeat, but they do reward you with certain upgrades. I have not decided what yet.
Instead of having eight optional levels, there are four. The two areas in each level, with Metroidish based levels. Have not decided what the area names are yet.
Mega Man is still the main hero, but he needs help from Dr. Vorque.
Dr. Vorque created Mega Krieg and Mega Blitz.
Beta Proto and Beta Forte are rebellions, who don't like thier creator, Dr. K.
Vaunpier Frost= A musky cold fog that sticks. When it sticks to something, it melts the item instead of solidifying it.
Fhriezt = Is a liquid, that is tough as daimond. It can only take one shape, but his dance like movements allow him to seperate his body parts to cover more area. Note* Mega Mans cannon buster cannot damage, a fully charged shot takes off one unit of energy.
Reign = Boot Upgrades: Allows faster walking, while on the ground. Plus sliding into enemies damages them.

As far as Robot Masters go, Skull Man and Oil Man are currently half way done. *Slash Man, Plant Man and Clown Man are currently being worked on.
Bosses from MM9 are frankenstiens as well. *Splash Woman is nearly done.

A regular Mega Man is dwelling in, with 5 bosses done so far...
Rocky Man, Ozone Man, Storm Man, Cinder Man, Cryo Man, and *Beast Man are done.
Manta Man and Clamp Man still need to be made.
Another note, about Protobeast. I am restarting on him, I still want to base him on the Chimera creature. I am opened for any possible ideas.

I am having troubles with Protobeast, trying to come up with a design. I am still open for ideas.
I have finished Depth Plesio.

Plesio is another name that showed up in the Star Force series. At this point, we're bound to see some repeats once in a while!
"Castlevania with Mega Man characters" makes me smile, since the opposite (Mega Man with Castlevania characters) sounds quite a bit like Rosenkreuzstilette.

The CastleMania game got scratched, as for a replacement, I have been doing a Ninja Gaiden type game. With Megaman elements.

I took a break from the projects, but the last few nights I have been on them again.
I will make a list of new characters soon, but what I can tell you is, Mega Gaiden has 16 bosses so far. 12 consist of the Dragrood Clan, 4 belong to the Wargun Gang. I should have a list by tomorrow night. Currently creating a map system.
The main hero is Kyu, he has 6 animal partners. Alpha, Delta, Gamma, Kappa, Sigma and Omega. I will give out more details sooner or later.
As for the main project, I want to slow down on it, just so I can get more Robot Masters 16-bit styled.

I am starting up my own 8-bit sprites for an X game, using materials from the Original series. X will be based on Mega Man, Zero upon Bass, Axl upon Proto Man.

Jolt Rabbit and Corona Cactus are done. Squall Hydra is mutating.
I am currently creating a story line, for the first 8-bit project. Along with character bios, I alredy have the main heroes and villians. Creatures, on the other hand, no. Any volunteers to create Bios, pick your favorite.
All I require is the Cryptzorgs name.
Who he has a grudge against: M.Blitz, B.Proto, M.Krieg, or B.Forte.
Gargoyle is mine though. 
He never liked B.Proto, mainly because they were personally close. Twins in short terms. When B.Proto ran away, he didn't say a word to Gargoyle. Gargoyle realized, isn't a broken heart, a human emotion. Gargoyle snapped and went on a rampage to find his betraying brother. That is where Mega Man found Gargoyle, burning down a nearby prison.

9th Batch=
Steel Manatee, Corrosive Cactus, Squall Dolphin, Ground Ankylo, Cloud Bumblebee, Molten Squirrel, Jolt Rabbit, Frost Toucan.

One new Robot Master is nearly done, Heat Man. I eliminated the last design, and started a new. Also, Crash Man is done.

The Ride Armors in X7 are currently mutating, I fixed the hat on Signas. It seemed a little small for him, therefore it got a little bigger.
Robot Masters= Slash Man, Commando Man and Galaxy Man are mutating into shape. Heat Man is bigger and better looking.
I might post a full listing, of my Mega Gaiden characters, in a day or two.

Ohh, drawn stuff now.
As a chibi, this Vampire Mantis reminds me more of a miniboss or major stage enemy than a full blown maverick, but you've got the style all right. Bonus points for the lined ears, they're exactly what I'd expect!
