Mega Man 1 on the 3DS eShop

As announced today on Capcom Unity, Mega Man 1 (the NES original) is now available on the 3DS eShop in North America. Mega Man 2 will follow on February 7, with the other 4 following one at a time, every month.

Happy 25th Anniversary, Mega Man!

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Rockman (1) in Japan, also making this the anniversary of the entire franchise. Happy birthday!

This means that Street Fighter X Mega Man is now available for download, although the page is currently slow due to so many people trying to access it at the same time.

All of today's Mega Man news have conveniently being regrouped over at Capcom Unity in a single blog post, so check it out to learn about the start of a year of celebrations!

Mega Man X Street Fighter, coming right up!

In an unexpected turn of events, Capcom has announced today a new release: Mega Man X Street Fighter, coming up on December 17th, Mega Man's birthday! This fan-made game has received Capcom's official support and has been chosen to blast off Mega Man's 25th anniversary while also ending Street Fighter's own celebrations. A trailer showcasing basic gameplay and characters is waiting for you!

The game will be available on the PC, in 8-bits style, straight from Capcom's website, and for free in a mere 9 days.
