It figures you finally got it, Doc. I lost my DS and the Tetris game while visiting the city yesterday night.

Tetris! My sister could go for the record of highest Tetris score. It was around -20,000 or -200,000, I forgot.

Note to Self: Buy Tetris DS and own all friends

Well, for better or worse I picked up a DS Lite and another copy of Tetris today. Once I finish Marathon I'll edit this and give you my FC.

I say tetris is just the same tetris as the other ones so I'll ask here is it actually worth buying Tetris for my DS?
Cuase I just see the gameplay as the old ones and I think I need convincing.

there are 6 different modes you can play, each with a background from a certain game

the normal tetris mode, 'nuf said, make lines, and get a highscore. background changes each 2 levels

you get certain bricks and you have to clear all the lines, Puzzle Mode, in Yoshi's Cookie style

one where you get 1 block, and tetris blocks fall down and you need to catch them to get a 4x4 grid or bigger to get points. the Catch mode, Metroid style

the Tower mode, where hundereds of thertris block create a tower and you need to use the stylus to turn and move block to create lines. get the box of baloons on the ground. Balloon fight style

a Battle mode you and your opponent battle on the same field and the first one that reaches his limit line loses. original Donkey Kong style

and the Mission mode where you are given a mission to complete within a set amount of time, like clearing 4 lines in total, or at the same time or using a specific block to clear lines.

then there is multiplayer fun, i believe up to 8 persons, and Wi-Fi against 1 or 3 others, Friendcodes NOT neccesary, but nice if you want to battle specific people.

maybe this give you enough motivation to buy it. ^_-

The last game of Tetris I've played was The Next Tetris for the Playstation. It was good, but more of the same. The customizable music feature was nice with being able to play your own CDs during the game.

There's always devices like Game Genie and Game Shark Pro's lurking the marketplace to hack codes with. I've done so with my SNES version of Megaman X and discovered some interesting weapon effects.
