ACE_Spark was nice enough to send in a brand-new set of savestates to be used with the game Mega Man: The Wily Wars or it's Japanese version, Rockman Megaworld. These saves put you before the beginning of the Wily Tower minigame, which allows you to see it's introduction. You can also select to begin with either 0 or 99 Energy Tanks, depending on which file you use.
This download replaced the older one in the Downloads section.
Larry Coppotelli, who first contributed FanArt a few years ago, has come back again with three new pictures. These showcase characters from his upcoming fan-game, called Mega Man 10, that he recently renamed from Mega Man 9 because of the latest Capcom release. All this art can be viewed on his dedicated gallery.
UPDATE: The pictures have been replaced with larger ones to help you appreciate the details.
And we have a new winner!
The winning entry is this silly-looking shot of Bass and Treble, submitted by long-time member ProtomanEXE! Congratulations!
ProtomanEXE will be receiving his prize soon: a 20$ Amazon.com Gift Card! All I'm waiting for is an e-mail confirmation to make sure that I have the correct information.
Thanks to everyone who entered, and see you on the next mini-contest!
As the title said, we're approaching the end of September. As a result, there is one week left for you to enter the random draw to win a 20$ Amazon.com gift card. All it takes is to draw a valid picture on the oekaki board before the end of the month of September!
As the title says, the WiiWare version of Mega Man 9 is now available for download directly from your Internet-enabled console. It will cost you 1000 Wii points, which is worth about 10,00$ US. The Playstation Network version should be available Thursday, while the Xbox Live Arcade one will follow on the next Monday.
Happy gaming!
UPDATE: The Playstation Network version is now available as well.
UPDATE 2: All versions are now out, enjoy if you can!
People have requested it, so it's now official: the oekaki mini-contests, as it happened last May, will become a regular feature of the oekaki board. They will be scheduled to happen every few months with a different theme being offered each time. As a result, it's now time to launch the mini-contest #2!
In the same format as before, this is a challenge based on participation and luck: anyone who submits a valid picture through the month will be entered to win a 20$ Amazon.com gift card. As such, anyone interested has a chance to win!
This month's theme: What is your favorite Mega Man characters pairing?
The full details are available in the latest oekaki board announcement.
The contest began yesterday and ends on the September 30, 2008 at 23:59:59 according to Eastern time.
Good luck to all the contestants!
A debate that has been brewing since the announcement that Mega Man 9 would be a downloadable title keeps getting more attention: does Mega Man 9, the long-awaited game, deserve to be more than a downloadable game? What does the franchise need to get people's attention once again?
The Helldragon, frequest visitor of our message board, strongly believes that this game (and the franchise as a whole) deserves better. He presents his full reasoning in a YouTube video, available for all to listen to and comment back. He urges you to comment and let your voice known on something that several people have already formed an opinion on.
A link to this has also been added to the "Contribute!" section at the right of the page.
I have added a Staff page to list everyone officially named to help with various sections of the site. While I'm the most visible person, I'm not the only one running the show, and these people deserve our thanks too!
