THESE dim-wit joyriders smile for a speed camera as they race past in a car they\'ve just pinched.

The photograph clearly shows the teenage louts - nicknamed Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest by cops - turning round to make sure it gets their best side.

The lad at the wheel does a toothy pose while his jeering mate hangs out of the window.

Another of the baseball cap-wearing yobs is grinning from ear to ear in the backseat.

But the fourth lad does not manage to twist round in time for the camera\'s flash.

Police could not believe their luck when they found the speed trap picture - taken three hours before the Escort was torched.





PC Rob Ellis said yesterday: \"The car was stolen from a drive in the Kinson area of Bournemouth at 11pm.


\"When we found the car at 4am it was completely burnt out so we had few clues to work with.


\"Then we saw the series of photographs and couldn\'t believe it. The car went past the speed camera at about 1am and of course the device activated because they were speeding.


\"They probably thought that because it wasn\'t their car they could get away with it.\" But the picture is so clear it shows what they are wearing and even the car\'s speedo.


PC Ellis added: \"To have three of them turn to the camera at the same time is quite unusual.


\"The picture is really clear and we are convinced people will know them or know of them.\"


The blue Ford Escort had been spotted being driven around a housing estate in the early hours before it was dumped.


A 16-year-old youth has already been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
