I recently heard about a virus that\'s supposed to go off on February 4 or 5 and wipe the hard drive any computer infected with it, or something similar. Can anyone confirm this? I heard it from a reliable source, but I want to make sure he wasn\'t mistaken. Also, if it is real, is there any way to scan for and destroy it?

EEehhhhheheh.... Stupid morons, always gotta release a new virus. Sounds legit, but I have nothing to worry about, my antivirus thingamabobber is up-to-date.

Well, if this announcement is legit, why would there be a set date… and an announcement? I believe it’s a load of crap. Maybe it’s to get people to buy anti-virus software. Anyway, if this virus does exist, this is going to be fun! Do you know how much can be screwed up if there weren’t computers? Better start downloading everything you have to your iPod, people!

Anyway, maybe someone finally got smart and was able to make a good virus! Dozens of new viruses are created and sent everyday… and you know what… a cure for them is found easily. This one should be some good one. But, our technology is advanced, so we may be able to wipe it out… which the other countries haven’t been able to do.

Well, you are right. In fact, I’ve never had a virus before. I have never heard of a virus being announced to strike on a certain date.

Well, I guess all we can do is beef up our computer defense and hope nothing bad happens. If all else fails, I guess I\'ll have to buy another computer... Viruses tend to be attracted to my computer, and well... I think you all know what happens. I get spammed, someone uses my name to spam... Then my computer stops working so I scrap it =\\

The color black just has a negative connotation. Not the race or anything, but the color itself is felt to be menacing and foreboding. At least in Western culture.

I have researched this \"blackworm\" and it does go by other names, but mainly as blackworm. The main way you can get it is through email (that\'s how things are normally sent, yes?). So if you are really into that whole email thing, just dont open email that you dont recognize or anything that has to do with porn. Just delete it immediately. One thing people are recommended to do is to update their anti-virus software.

Just type in \"Blackworm Virus\" in at Google, and you\'ll get all the information you could want... even though almost every site says the same thing.
