You know, after reading this...

There\'s critique, and there\'s flaming... Mal seems... dangerously close to a flame. Normally, you would state what\'s good about something along with what\'s bad. It does leave me to wonder, though- Mal seems to think the comic is so \"bad,\" but in general, it\'s pretty popular, it seems. Frankly, it doesn\'t matter what you draw or how you draw it, someone will find it unappealing. But note to you people who do- Just because you don\'t like it doesn\'t mean it sucks. I hate Naruto and Battle Network. Does it mean they suck? Of course not. It just means I don\'t like them. It\'s selfish and egostical to think that your opinion is the only one that has weight.

-Also, I don\'t find Megatokyo\'s art appealing. I like Iris\' style for this because it\'s reminiscent of official Megaman style. I think it stands out just fine, and I think I\'d be able to pick it out from other artists.

I enjoy your work, Iris. Of course it\'s not perfect. Nothing ever is. But sometimes things are more fun when they\'re not perfect. And heck, it\'s always fun to look back and see your own improvement.

You see my above statement? That, people, is something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY ARGUMENT. And you know, Mal, or son, or whatever name I\'m gonna give ya, you try to remain focused when you\'re complaining about someone\'s work. Do we want to hear about your mother and her shaved...ahem, private areas that the good Doctor removed for the benefit of our children? Why, no, we don\'t! Do remember that when we read an argument for or against someone\'s work, we expect coherence (which you thankfully managed) and focus (which you killed our rainbows because of it). Perhaps you would be willing to try again, maybe on a lesser known webcomic? I hear practice is good for building confidence in such matters.

Alright, a couple more points before I vanish into the wild blue.

Believe it or not, I\'m not gay, and I\'m surprised my sexual preference has even been brought up.

Say what you like about MT (I know it seems rather trendy to dislike it these days) but the man knows how to draw, he knows how to present himself to the world, and hey, at the end of the day he\'s supporting his family through his art. He\'s published three books, with a fourth on the way. Hell, the guy\'s been signed by DC. That\'s success.

Interestingly enough, the \'Megaman style\' already has a name. That name is \'Manga\' and it has been around for a lot longer than Capcom of for that matter the video game industry itself.

Finally, Rioni (I think that was the name - female sounding Japanese-type name) made some interesting and very flawed points. I never said the thing sucked - I made a critique. You connotated that I believe it sucks, which isn\'t true. I won\'t be reading it in the future, but that\'s my choice and my opinion, which is after all what the author asked for with this topic. It\'s pretty funny to think that you\'re accusing me of doing exactly the same thing you\'re actually doing - \'I disagree with Mal therefore Mal\'s opinion is wrong\'. It\'s an opinion, champ, not a statement of fact. Art\'s a very relative medium, and one man\'s garbage is another man\'s \'great comic\'.

You also asked if I had anything good to say about the comic, and I neglected to mention how much I approved of the website\'s design. Because my Firefox is kind enough to block most java, I was unable to scroll through the archives without removing the block on the offending website (something I was particularly loathe to do as I was afraid of Trojans and Mongols that day), meaning I was thankfully not exposed to overly much of the comic.

From what I read it sounds like you think it sucks. But whatever, that\'s yer opinion, as already stated. I think that the art itself is fine, I wouldn\'t change anything about it. Some of the jokes were pretty good, especially when Bass was trying to get his remote back from the women.:lol: Somehow, though, I think it is more perverted than it is funny. And I\'m surprised to see such perversion come from a woman, especially since it\'s the guys in the comic who are the pervs. That\'s your choice, though. I haven\'t read a lot of comics, but Penny Arcade and VG Cats are good. I think it is dumb to compare them to Iris\', though, since her comic is much different. She stays on a set theme, whereas they do paradies and make fun of different games.

Now that\'s one thing. This is a Megaman comic. Why would I draw it in any other way than how Capcom draw their stuff?

This is also not a professional comic. It\'s a FAN...WORK. I don\'t strive to be a cartoonist. I\'m just a Megaman fan that happens to know how to draw. (And would rather not waste her time on recoloring sprites and paste them on a cheap background)

But what really boggles me is: why did you come here just for that? It\'s a very interesting fact! I mean, there is much more other places you could\'ve contacted me. Bob and George, email, blog, or my own forums... How peculiar that you come to a forums I have been on only for a few days just to review your dislike of my comic!

I\'m charmed, to say the least.

I\'ve read up to about the 1000 hits comic and two of the newer ones. I kinda like the art in the older ones more so than the newer. Maybe it\'s just because it\'s the Battle Network characters but I don\'t like the skinnier proportions as much. Not that it\'s really worse, it just looks less appealing to me. But that\'s just me.

I didn\'t really find any of the jokes(from the ones I did read) funny really. Some were kinda cute but they didn\'t make me laugh. But I have abit of a twisted sense of humour.

The artwork really does combine itself with the humor. Even if the joke is a cliche, if the drawing to go along with it is amusing, I find it just as funny.

My absolute favorite thing in this comic would have to be everyone\'s facial expressions on the first panel of the comic where Bass exposes his hair.

Yea, i only knew about these forums FROM Stage Select, so i felt it was my duty as an overall forum-whore to make one post here in the thread that lead to this discovery, if not for any reason other than for shits and giggles. I could have done this in other places, but i am too damn lazy to find them, so HERE IT GOES! HOORAY!

Pros of Stage Select: It makes me laugh, sometimes in a very \"lawl\" fashion.
The art is great.
It is a fresh spin on the extremely tired megaman comic.
It is not another bob and george ripoff, which makes me happy. At least she has some originality <:

Cons: It comes out twice weekly. I need more stage-select brand addictive substance.(No, this isn\'t asking for more/faster updates, cause that would probably overwork the Iris and give us all a shittier product.
You\'ve been stuck on the time-travel/battle network thing since the start. I figure it will be ending soon, meaning fresh setting, meaning more opportunities for more \"lawling\".

In other words, keep doing what you are doing, and get a bigger stick to beat off rabid fans and stupid idiots with.

And thus, after a good cold that stopped me from updating on my normal schedule (Pretty much seems as if I skipped one, literally. But I\'ll post a new one tomorrow too to make up for it), I have just posted a new comic.
