Alright, so I have this party coming up in a couple of weeks. The only multiplayer game I have is Twisted Metal Black and I doubt that will keep people busy for long. I plan to buy Tekken 4 & 5 and I will probably have alot of money to spend the day before the party. So does anyone have some good ideas for multiplayer games that are fun? Preferably games that are 1 on 1 matches like tekken or other fighting games.

DDR. No seriously, DDR. It's a little expensive and awkward at first, but it's a lot of fun when you get good at it. I reccomend the DDR Extreme 2.

Other than that, Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven is good. A lot of work to get all the characters but it's a great game. Lots of ninja'in action.

Other than that I have no clue, besides Soul Calibur II.

Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.

There's no need to buy both of those Tekkens. 5 is enough.

And I recommend...um. Any fighting game that doesn't suck. Yeah, that's generic enough to work.

Eheh... heh...

Um... I don't know, Tekken 5 sounds like a good idea. Maybe some other good ones would be Burnout: Revenge, Onimusha: Blade Warriors, or Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, or I know I enjoyed multiplayer on those.

Make sure to pick games that are easy for people to get into and play. Reduces frustration that way.

Race and fighting games are good to do with lots of (read: multiple) people. Also, you could ask some of your friends to bring games they like and can be played with more people. Also, you could ask them to bring a Gamecube, since then you can play with four people at a time.

Super Smash Tournaments are fun. Believe it.

I'll second DDr being the best party game, but not extreme 2, get extreme 1, much better songs IMO. Honestly, "Genie in a Bottle", or "Speed over Beethoven", The battle of the evil songs. There are 2 songs on DDRE2 that I can dance to without getting pissed. La copa La vida, and Butterfly.

Also, although it's much more expensive to get 2 of these than 2 DDR's, Guitar Hero is a good one too.

Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.

Any DDR. Tekken 4 is the only one I've played and liked; I didn't like Tekken 5 as much so...yeah. Burnout: Revenge is a good one, plus the songs are awesome. Junkie-Today, best song on there, but takes forever to get going, next to Helicopter- Bloc Party. Also Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a good one.

EDIT: Well there is another one, if you already have it and beat it to death and got everything. I know thats alot but, Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries could be a good one. Though it's one player you could take turns trying to get the better score. Also War of the Monsters isn't a bad idea.

Thanks everyone, getting alot of good ideas here. Are there many games on the ps2 that actually use the multi-tap? I'm pretty sure that Twisted Metal Black does but I can't think of many others.

Then it's safe to say I don't really have a need for one then as I don't play any sports games.

Well you could still look around for a game that may. I'm sure other games have taken advantage of the multi-tap.
