Here's what I have to say about the new 3 consoles. Even though I'm leaning toward my seXbox 360, (HALO 3) I'll be open minded. So why not look at it, DA GOLDILOCKS WAY. Porridge!

Let'sm start with the Wii, I love the games. I've been a fan of Nintendo ever since I started gaming with my GBC. Unlike the other companies, it's innovative. But it has no HDTV and they're calling it a next-gen system. They said that they would release a second generation in 5 years, but I WANT IT NOW. That's leaves the porridge cold.


Next up, PS3. There was too much hype on the PS3. The PS3 actually costs about $1500 now because 9/10 people in line sold theirs on eBay. The launch games basically sucked, except Resistance: Fall of Man. The PS3 is going to have great games like Assassins Creed and MGS 4, but they have angered their dear fans. The porridge needs to cool down some.


Xbox 360 is not Japanese, though it is very successful. Though they have still not fixed the "Japan Problem," they have satisfied many Americans. 360 has been out for a year and has a great selection of games. Not only that, but it also now supports 1080i, which was supposed to be the PS3 strong spot. PLUS IT GOTS HALO 3. That will silence all critics saying that the Xbox 360 suxx0rs. The price is fair, 400 dollars. That leaves the Xbox just right, in the middle. MMMHNM PORRIDGE.

No it won't. Halo is overrated. Fun, yes. But not enough to save or damn a console.

And for the Wii, you forgot-

Virtual Console
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

And yes, Halo is overrated. One game does not decide the fate of a console, though it certainly helped XBox to survive when it came out.

As far as I know, I've only heard of two XBOX games that have been deemed a "Must Play", Halo 3 going to be the third. PS3 has NONE (Aside KH3, which isn't confirmed) while the Wii already has Zelda, Mario, and Brawl already on the up-and-coming roster.

I know that 1 game isn't going to save a console, and there are other good games for the 360 that are going to come out in early and late 2007. Some of these are Bioshock, Shadowrun, GTA4, (Think of it, GTA4 on PS3 for $600 or GTA4 on 360 for $400) Forza Motorsport 2 and many others. Also, PS3 is losing some of it's exclusive titles that was originally only going to be on the PS3 like Assassins Creed and possibly MGS4, but Sony still has rights to that game though.

So Halo 3 won't save 360, all of the above plus Halo 3 will.



EDIT: Plus, Halo 2 at the time it was released was the biggest media seller in 1 day.

PS3 has a few "must play" titles. Killzone, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, eventual SRW games, etc. Besides, the PS3 being region free helps those that import games that'll never get US releases.

Also, all the games you named for the Wii are first party games. So far, it seems like the GC all over again. Where the first party games will be the only ones worth playing.

The Virtual Console will help ease that, but I also hope they make some good third-party titles for the Wii. But seriously. I'd rather buy a Wii than a PS3, strictly when it comes to price.
