I need some high-res original (or good doujin) MM art and some ideas to do a skin for my laptop. I'll be carrying this thing to college classes, so I want it to look unique and professional. I'm not adamant on any specific characters or series, so throw me whatever you find. The service that I'm using to get it wants some pretty big images to use, and REALLY big ones to look good. Ultra-high resolution wallpapers would work, but I want to be original.

If I go through the HP shop website, I can upload a completed image over "2 megapixels." I'm pretty sure it's designed for people with photos, and not digital art. The actual SkinIt site allows you to upload individual images and position and scale them. Once I decide what I want to do, I'm going to do a 1900x1200 image for the HP site and arrange my images on the SkinIt site to see what looks better.

The designs I've been messing with so far:
-X and Zero on the right and left, black background, with Sigma behind them, colored darkly or something.
-Some of the stuff here would definitely work as is, maybe with a little cropping and minimal scaling. I'd like to find more like these from other series for comparison.

I can't say whether or not I would recommend using SkinIt. It looks good, but it's almost as glossy and fingerprint attracting as the surface I wanted to cover. It's also nearly impossible to get rid of all the air bubbles, and now I have little specks trapped under it from lifting it again. Also, the corners don't compensate for the curves, even though the skin template was specifically for my model. Meh, I'm happy with it.

I hate to bump an old topic, but I lost my skin >_<.

The top lid of my screen had a broken screw bracket, which prevented it from closing completely. I sent it in to HP (under warranty, 1 month left) and made sure to let them know that I had a custom skin, from a company that they endorse. Well, even after that and sticking a note inside the box, I didn't get it back. The top shell was the piece that had to be replaced, so I figured they could just stick the old half inside the box. Calling to ask about it just resulted in frustration, as they told me I should have "backed up any data" before sending it in. They REALLY didn't understand me when I described it as a printed sticker.

I'm considering getting another one printed, but I'm really not sure. Maybe to commemorate Rockman 9.
