Here's a new little twist to this forum. If you were to make a console, what would you make it out of? Would you go all hightech and use Compact-Discs, or would you go oldschool and try to revamp and use cartridges to keep up in some shape, form, or fashion?

Aside from that, what would you name it? What would be your focus, and what would you try to avoid? Think about it.

I'll post mine once I think of something. :P

I dunno anything else, but I would totally name it the Perfect Nintendo Entertainment System.

And it would play KH games.

Ja, all I know right now. <___<

Kinda not what I'm talking about guys, especially you Teej.

Choose a platform, would it be 2D, would it be compact disc, would it be like the SNES, NES, or would it be something completely new?

Would you revamp an idea, and make it catch up with current technology, or what?

Come on and be smart and intelligent about this, not saying that you are, but that wasn't what I was hoping for, so I think you didn't understand what I mean. Hopefully this is a better explanation.

I still think crystal technology would be wonderful. I'm not sure if anyone actually studied how to write data on crystals. I just remember seeing the technology in a movie ("Logan's Run" if I remember right). ^^; BUT! They had to spin the crystals to activate the data. In my machine, it doesn't need to be spun. It would use different colored lasers to collect the data. You would just insert the crystal and the machine will move the crystal only when it needs to.

Why crystals? (Other than it would be really cool!) A crystal would have almost boundless memory since the thousands or millions of layers that make up a crystal. You'll just need one crystal to store all the games you would ever need.

You could play anything on it. If you want to play the classics, go ahead. You can store a system's whole library for almost a lifetime of fun. Want to have the most realistic experience with so much detail you would think you are playing a movie? Developers won't be bothered with lack of memory space on these babies! Only their imagination would be their limit.

What would I name this magnificent machine? ... I don't know... "Bob" would be a tentative name. XP

Personally, I would create a console where multiple versions of the game could be purchased. There would be a normal CD version of the game, an HD DVD, and a Blu-ray, That way, people wouldn't have to shell out extra money on games they're unsure of. It would be a moderately pricey system, but it would also have a web browser, online store, and high intelligence online gaming network. Wireless controlers and cutting edge graphics for all!.

Hey beautiful people, you're better off trying to e-mail me than message me on here.

I think you'd hit a snag for funding on all three disc reading systems, lol. Especially if mass produced and charged less. :P

Well...it wouldn't really work. The main purpose of HD DVD and Bluray is that they have more space than your average CD/DVD. So you'd have to do multiple discs for CD/DVD games and that would cost more in the long run...:/
