Worth reading, not going to say much aside that Nintendo didn't really make it, and aren't exactly helping the earth with their hazardous materials, haha.

Not that I'm bashing Nintendo or anything, but check this, Microsoft and Sony are doing better then Nintendo in recycling? You'd think it would be the otherway around, but the Greenpeace went it and checked everything and gave them a 0 out of 10. Sad isn't it?

Comments, opinions, arguments.

Maybe a debate?

While I don't really have anything against Greenpeace, I don't pay much attention to their pollution rankings. They seem to update it every few weeks, and the companies shuffle around quite a bit. It's hard to draw conclusions from that...

There's quite a bit of controversy around them. They've been known to lie about some corporations in order to further their cause, and they've illegally mishandled funds as well.

Well, it made it to PC World, and Google news, so I figured it was good enough to show around.

Now I've never really heard of Greenpeace before, it was interesting to hear.

I read the report a few days ago. Although it was amusing to read, I wouldn't take too much out of it. The key statement why Nintendo didn't rank is because of "no references."

Seeing how Nintendo always prided themselves in recycling and reusing (http://gonintendo.com/?p=20145 This email sums up their projects), this report shows the total opposite.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Greenpeace asked one Nintendo representative and the representative didn't know the answers. Since they didn't get their answers from that person (and/or maybe Nintendo's website), they went the lazy way and end the research right there resulting zeros in everything. Totally unfair and biased.

I didn't think this was accurate. All the clamshell cases for Wii and DS games are recyclable, and they had that eco-friendly promotion thing for the new Chibi-Robo game where they planted trees and stuff.

Ahhh...yes, but see here, of course it's recycable, pretty much anything except nuclear waste is recycable, but do they actually follow through? That is the question.

The best the manufacturer can do is make it recyclable, it's up to the consumer to actually put it in the recycle bin. The main point is, Greenpeace is a radical group whose information is usually sketchy at best, and utter horse pucky at worst.

I think most of used consoles are reused by refurbishing or parts for other used consoles, not thrown away. Really, who throws away a console when they can get a bit of money off of it by selling it back to a store?

Ohmigod! Wow, thats pretty bad...XD Nintendo may make good video games and they have improved in the last several years but may be they should hold off in the technology improvments for a while and start working on their RECYCLING improvments for a while. *This just in, Nintendo is 99.99% responsable for the earths pollution* Kidding lol.
