Stereo actually means something along the lines of "With 2 or more input or output devices", so you already see in stereo :P. Unless you're blind in one eye...
Walgreens had them available a while back for a TV thing. I may still have a few cause I grabbed like 12 of 'em. If I find them I can send you one. I'll let you know, unless you have already acquired a pair.
Wendy's used to frequently give away 3-D comic books as a Happy Meal prize. However it's been a while since anyone I know has gotten a Happy Meal from Wendy's or looked at their toys, but since Subway still has the crappiest toys and McDonald's still has Hot Wheels, Barbie dolls, and Disney-related toys, I'd guess Wendy's still does this frequently. Often the comics were about dinosaurs.
Fourth of July in America often has devices that make squiggly pictures. These are not always actuallly 3-D glasses, but commonly there is a cardboard pair of glasses with clear lenses that refract the lights into Rainbows. This is actually much cooler then a red & blue 3-D glasses for random looking-at-things! We may have a pair or two of those hidden around somewhere as well, which I will send you if you want since we will be able to get more next 4th of July. But, they also have these things in general at carnivals, festivals, any place where they might sell neon headbands & bracelets, even try a nightclub! Or any place where the sell fiber optic min-wands. At the carnivals there are also other general "makes things cool-to-look at"devices.
For anything other then lined-comic books and the like, and occassionally working for those as well, there is another type of 3D glasses, or at least 3D light filters. 3D (of that type) is done by filtering the light of a certian typw to each eye, so in the case you would think of with kiddieglasses, it's filtering only blue light to one eye and red light to another. The 2nd type, which works much better (makes anything meant to be in 3D look real instead of looking like a hologram), work on a *LOT* more items for non-intended usage, and makes things look better when using it for the "make random objects look cool" effect, is the kind that filters light by direction rather then by color. One side of these glasses will be a translucent gray sqaure with lines going horizontally, the other side will be the same, only with vertical ridges. In my high school physics class, they were not al actually attached to a pair of glasses so some of us has to hold up one to one eye and turn one and hold it up to the other eye. Try talking to nearby high school or college professors to obtain these kinds of glasses, or ask them what their source is.
The catalog for Oriental Trading Company has a *LOT* of really cool throw-away-and-lose-them type-items, some of which you won't actually throw away or lose because they are so cool. I assume they have a Google-able website from which you can order their catalog. They sell the things that people such as teachers or people who like to throw birthday parties with goodie bags would love to buy - only these kids will have the best goodie bags at their parties! Stores such as Paty City or local/privately-owned party supply stores will sell the types of things ytou see in that catalog. I have seen 3D glasses and/or comics as an option in ther before. The Hallmark Store and Factory Card Outlet do not sell items from their catalog. They are very likely to have the clear light-refracting glasses I was previously talking about, the red&blue kind possibly a bit less often in the catalog, though they will probably be in the stores if you have one.
Finally, I can go to the Museum of Sciene & Industry where they have a permanat 3D display inside a fake rocket ship of some NASA-related thing and pick up a pair and send it to you. However if you ask me to do this it may be a year or more before I actually remeber and am able to do so, because no one I know likes to drive to Chicago, my dad who works there is currently going to have me arrested if I come to his house so he proably won't take me, and there is one day per wekk with free admission I forget which day but I think it is Thursday. It is also entirely possible I wouldsn't take that long or even only take two weeks to find a way but side things like that I never know when I will do them. If I am doing for someone else I would make a point to go faster, but since this involves Chicago it would be a lot harder then usual.
