Man, remember when Sega announced BIOWARE of all people would be working on a Sonic RPG? Good Tiemz

Remember when Sonic Unleashed was revealed, showing promising 2D and 3D action, and, recently, supposedly really solid Werehog gameplay?

Wow, Sonic was living the life on top of a couple of really promising videogames.

And then this beast reared it's ugly head.



No information other than that picture has been revealed yet but...Sonic with a sword? Do you even need a description of how unpromising this sounds?

I guess you haven't heard about "Sonic and The Sorceror's Stone" yet.

My god I cant beleve they are doing this to my fav video game character. Thank god I sold my wii so I wont have to play that crap.

Just to spite you all, I'm gonna give this game the benefit of the doubt. I say wait until we know more before we decide if this game's gonna be bad or not.

Not all of the console games were horrible. Adventure, Adventure 2, Heroes, Shadow, Secret Rings, and Zero Gravity were all pretty decent, from what I hear.

That he does. As far as shadow being fought over. It kinda started when gametrailers gave it a good score and the shadow fan boys and girls just wont let the game go.

Now, I don't care what anyone else says--Sonic with a sword is an awesome idea, and considering how easily it is to frag Sonic in the game he could use the offensive power. Plus, he can use some seriously awesome moves with it, if that trailer's any indication.

I also wonder what his Super form will be.

People, have we learned NOTHING from 06? THAT game looked cool and look what happened to that.

I had forgotten but now I remember. As far as the game looks like secret rings with a sword. Im not touching this one with a ten inch pole.

Just becouse a 3d sonic game is good for the sonic series,doesnt make it a good game.
on that note sonic with a sword is not sonic.Every bodys flipping out about sonic with a sword. Look at the last game were sega gave us wepons in a sonic game we all know it sucked. Now with sonic unleshed comeing out it looks like we are in the right path. Sonic isnt about swords and magic like how this storybook theme,sonic is about speed The last good hard core sonic game was sonic rush adventure. I'll take the sonic I grew up with over a freiken sword any day. The sword looks like it makes no big woop in the game look how he mooves. Oh wow a spin dash with a sword spining. Swords are ment for fighting. Now go back and look at the trailer and try to tell me with a straght face that that game is more then sonic running with a sword. I saw like a sec of him really useing it and all it was was him running and then spinning. I will not buy this game nor play it. Ill do the same i did with the last wii game and watch the story cut scenes on youtube.

Okay, first off, what the hell happened to PLAYING a game before saying it's good or not?

"Sonic with a sword is not Sonic" is actually incorrect, considering it's still Sonic, he's just wielding a weapon, big freakin' deal. And seeing how you're talking about Shadow, there are people out there that say it's a pretty good game. You shouldn't speak for everyone. And "what happened" with it was that it made is easier to kill things instead of using an attack that went after a ring box 10 miles away rather than a foe who's shooting you in the nose.

And your little, "if it's good for Sonic it doesn't mean its good" can also be directed at any franchise by that logic, and even Unleashed, as you seem to be looking forward to, can refute your concern about the sword. After all, "OMG WEREWOLF SONIC" can be seen as "Not Sonic". Plus both games seem that it'll be focused on a balance of speed and power, not just speed.

So if you're gonna shoot down this one before even trying it out or based on a small trailer, in which trailers aren't supposed to show you much ANYWAY, then you need to begin talking about Unleashed as well. After all, its not out yet and we don't know much about it either, except for its gimmick.

Besides, have you even played Secret Rings? Or did you see that one as a 3D game and decided not to bother?

Anyways... can we safely say that Sonic and the Black Knight has higher chances, now that Sonic Unleashed is apparently a success, and this one is the sequel to another successful Sonic game?

The future does look a bit brighter for Sonic fans, I'd wager. Seems that, despite the werehog, Sonic Unleashed really nailed the speed aspect of Sonic's intended gameplay. I have a bit more hope for Black Knight in this regard.

I still want a Rocket Knight Adventures remake though.
