Just one more reason why I hate Sega of Japan.
But you know what I really can't stand? People who complain about the company they work for, yet do nothing about it. Not to mention breaking their "oath of silence" on games currently being made or planing to be made. (The only time I forgive this is if the game is already out or out of production for whatever reason.)
So in other words,Sega of Japan is basically making Sonic suck ON PURPOSE by ordering more and more games from Sonic team. This is reeking of something Capcom would pull.
I think my big problem with this is that it shows that even the creators of the Sonic games are getting worn out by the charade that they still make legitimately good titles and keep spewing dreck involving werehogs and minor characters with guns. I personally believe one thing; Sonic needs retired. It's obvious Sega is willing to take Sonic, force him to stop crying, get dressed, and go perform again, but if the passion's not there, then how can there be a point to all this.
Listen Sega, I realize you're nothing but profit mongers, but all you're doing is overshadowing the good games with the bad by ordering more right now. Give it a rest, who know, maybe in 5 or more years people will be ready and want a new Sonic, and maybe people will actually be willing to develop it rather than reluctantly coming up with contrived and stupid gimics. Give it up already; no one wants to see a werehog or anything of that sort; Sonic games have been dead for years; wake up.

The problem with those articles is that it overshadows the GOOD Sonic games that were released in the last years. The Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush subseries were both very well received, and they also happen to have been made by other group than Sonic Team (Dimps is the group responsible in this case).
With that said, that article quotes a blog from 2006: it's very possible that the company has improved it's standing since then. Most people will agree that Sonic Unleashed is a better game than Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic 2006. I think there's hope yet.

Hmm... This sounds like a plot to start churning out cheap-turn-based-pokemon-style-Rpgs,those seem easy to make,although the dark brotherhood WAS good...
