WD is shitty. They often do this on normal computers too. Especially if you have the "portable" kind that does not require it's own power source.

I think the 360 has a size limit for external storage or something as equally retarded. Aroung 16 GB or so I heard.

External hard drives. Internal my be different. I've had 7 different WD external drives and almost all of them have either randomly stopped working for no apparent reason, and/or were not detected by most computers. MyBook is from Western Digital. One was solved by WD official support, and then broke itself again. In looking for the solution with one of the problems, I came across numerous posts in which people state they always have trouble with Western Digital external drives.
