So, its been confirmed that today, Michael Jackson died of a heart attack.
I was a bit surprised to hear that he's gone. Bit glad he is, though.

I wasn't that surprised, to be honest. I guess it's because he was kind of nuts. The only real redeeming quality of MJ is his music anyways, IMO.
I'm a bit shocked at how much coverage this is getting, like, EVERYWHERE. I thought that his star had faded quite a bit over the years, but it looks like most people still appreciate him despite everything that happened in the last 15 years or so.
Personally, I'm disappointed for him that he didn't have time to properly close his career: he was planning to do a worldwide farewell tour, starting in London in just a few weeks. I thought that it might have helped to heal some wounds, but he ran out of time before that...

InactiveI was pretty shocked to hear this myself. I do like his music so its a great shame.
I admit I laughed when I first heard it, wasn't sure what else to do I guess.
Musically, the loss is massive. You're talking one of the best-selling and best-known artists of all time.
Socially though, I really don't want to sound insensitive, but the guy was nuttier than a box of pistachios. He's already screwed up enough, at least he went out with part of his reputation in tact, before he could make things even worse on himself. Just leave the man in peace and go on with life; no reason he needs to be a part of your life now when he wasn't before.

You know most people hate me for saying this but in all truth I could not care less about his death. I very rarely hear his music,I never grew up with his music and what I did grow up with was the nut job all over the news that has most kids under 15 not careing and droping M.J jokes faster then the Flash can run. I'm more worried about his kids then him really.

The real psychological damage is upon the kids and wifes heads. Therefore, I agree with axl z, the paparazzi's will only extend the torment.
As far as the King of Hip Hop, I lost interest ever since he turned white. If he had stayed black, he may have lived longer.

Honestly I was shocked that Michael died but heck, so did Ed McMahon, Farrah Faucet, and now Billy Mays.
What the heck is going on?
Not sure if anyones been keeping up with the news, but recently there has been suspicion that it could be murder from the Doctors part, the Jackson family has asked for a second opinion on the autopsy, as they found deramol(morphine) in him. The doctor said he gave him a shot before he died, and then retracted his statement via lawyer.
So..it might heat up soon.

Well as far as I know there is a definate that the kids are not his kids. I'v seen tons of articles but havnt read any of them. Maybe I should go do that....
