A lot of you have been talking about ROMS and I\'ve just been wondering what they are.

anyways, i have loads a roms... you play \'em on an emulator, like: if you have a snes emulator, you download snes roms, and then *POOF* you play snes games on your pc :eek:. isn\'t that incredible:eek:?? i was astonished the first time i heard about it, too:D. just kidding...:lol:

A ROM is a computer file used to play any game on a CARTRIDGE based console-CD games are called ISOs. Both are illegal. To play them you require an emulator, which is pretty much a program designed to run whatever ROM/ISO you tell it to that is of the console the emulator represents. Many sites have ROMs and emulators on them, most have been removed, but I would think it perfectly fine to get a NES, SNES, or Genesis emulator since they don\'t make games for those systems anymore(besides Sonic Mega Collection for the \"Cube\" which ISNT A CUBE)...

At the back of EVERY Nintendo manual it clearly states:

\"NO back-up copies of this game are allowed, blah blah blah, we\'ll sue your sorry ass, yeah yeah, OK?\"

thanks, its sounds really interesting, ive heard people say that they\'ve said things about it, but i\'ll i\'ve heard directly from nintendo is the stuff at the end of the manual.

they are very illegal and i don\'t know why people like you are talking about them, i mean the onlyy ROM\'s you should know about is read oly memory, please people this are very illegal, and Airman if your wondering there are two kinds of ROM:

Read-only memory which is just the stuff on your computer, laptop, and Palm that you cannot delete, like say on a computer its windows (there are more then that)
and on a palm there are like phone numbers program, palm OS (operating systeme) and others.


the other one is BAD, you can get them off of web sites that are totally BAD, but they are also read-olnly memory data because you may not edit it, you may only read it on the emulator, which is also very illegal to have, wich is why its called ROM because its read-only, get it. its just a code so the emulator can uneerstand and display on your computer screen the same as anyscreen systeme would. Its just a backed up data that a game comes in originally, off the computer, then they port it externally to the game cartrige. Sell the game and make millions. now people have also fought back to save money, they did a reverse prossess to get the data on the computer. If they\'re skilled at progamming they can make and emulator to run the ROM that they just stole

yea its illegal ............even though ALOT of ppl play roms ...................u can get like playstation --gba---n64---gamecube EVEry game system

its not like nintendo can stop all the people out there playing on there computers with emulaters and plus they have game sharks and code breakers built into them if nintendo was truly whanted to stop it im shure they would do more about it but it looks like there not doing much about it does it

and one more thing if u look around u can see that nintendo is NOT that worryed about it they just scare people by puting that stuff up like even look up roms on google you will find so much that goes to show what nintedo think from my point of view

the reason they\'re so \"rare\" IS BECAUSE THE COMPANIES HAVE BEEN REPORTING SITES WITH ROMS, THEY ARE DELETED..............AND YOU SHOULD TOO, REPORT ANYWEB SITES WITHS ROMS

I think that roms are illegal yes but I also think that there to easy to download I mean in every search engine were you type \'rom\' you will get a lot of results i have mostly gba n64 and gc roms and well.. didn`t heard nintendo complain about it .. muhahahhaa :devil::muha:
