So today I noticed that on the chatbox on my own RP site, my text, which is usually colored an acceptable red, is now showing pixel discoloration: most of the text is black, with only some of the pixels colored red. When highlighting text, regardless of who it belongs to, there is more discoloration. The highlight is black, and therefore the text becomes white... with dark blue pixel discolorations, making it nigh-impossible to read.
And finally, some of the icons in my taskbar have some slight discoloration. Windows Security Alerts looks a bit fuzzy around the edges, Advanced SystemCare, a blue circular icon, now has a green outline on the four corners (so to speak), while avast! Antivirus' icon is really fuzzy and distorted.
My brother faces a similar problem on his laptop, whereas the text randomly becomes a pink-purple color, and is apparently a sign that the laptop monitor needs to be replace. Am I going to need to replace my monitor, or is it my graphics card that's going? I'm hoping for the former; my computer is a lot newer than my monitor so if the graphics are going on it, then I got screwed somewhere down the line.
Topic: Color discolorations
Is this another sign I need to replace something?
