Along with minor fixes, mysterious broken-down rockets have been added to the backgrounds of a good chunk of official maps.
Some sort of Soldier update? Is Pyro an alien? Does the TF2 cast get to escort a gnome throughout their shootouts? Is it just some sort of cruel symbolism for Legend 3's cancellation? WHO KNOWS

My take? Valve will add a third faction to the game, the Chinese. The rockets will be an allegory on the dangers of all-out nuclear strikes during the Cold War

Update revealed: space-age weaponry for the Soldier. They have no ammo, being energy weapons, and have nifty effects, like stunning enemies and buildings or piercing enemies, but do less damage to buildings and can't do random crits for the laser bazooka.

CAPCOM: We put the "No" in Innovation.
And the rocket is amazingly fun/ overpowered. If you charge it just before the gate opens at the end of startup you're guaranteed 1-2 instant kills.
Also they don't mention that the rocket has FIVE rockets, not four.
