So this is a thing. Pokemon's first ever direct sequels.
And Pokémon finally jumped the shark! (Kidding... Mostly)
After so many spin-offs and remakes, who'd have thought that they felt the need for a numbered sequel. I, for one, also believed that the announcement of a Pokémon Grey was the next logical step. Have they spent so many resources on trying to refresh the series and come up with an entirely new batch of little critters that they decided to cash up on it?

I'm actually excited for this more than I would have been for Gray.
Consider the following. With Gray, you would have gotten Black/ White with a minigame thrown in, maybe a small subplot, and the chance to add Kyurem in the plot.
Whereas with a numbered sequel you get a brand new plot entirely. We have no idea if there's going to be new mons or if it'll be in a new region, but we're already guaranteed to get more new content with this than we would have with Gray.
Kyurem's my favorite legendary. The form variations don't look all that great, though.
Im buying it when it arrives...
