Unrelated, I just saw a notification that the Definitive Edition of the first Age of Empires was released today. I'll have to try that one for sure, the game was fun in the day but it didn't age too well compared to the sequel!

Me, too! They have not aged well for modern computers at all, especially the first one. You know I remember working all summer for my grandmother to save up enough money for the gold edition of AOE and AOEII back in 2000. I'd never heard of it before, and there was an Age of Empire II: The Conquerors expansion demo in my PC Magazine and I was instantly hooked. I played that demo ALL summer until I got them both. That's actually how I screwed up my back for life!
