I never use a Game Shark. I like to play the game before I complete it and in battles, I use sometrhing called \'SKILL!\'

Wake up and smell Rockman\'s butt! It is not licensed so I am not supporting it. Same for MadCatz sell cool controllers etc and are not licensed by Nintendo or PSX so dont buy unlicensed or u will be kicked!

I use it when I get stuck to the point that it\'s not fun anymore.

I hate it when people harp on me for using gameshark. Next person to do that to me will have their throats ripped out and shoved up a very unpleasant place.

I\'ve beaten games without cheating, though. Secret of Mana because the rom had issues with cheat codes and I just well, actually beat it. There\'s FF8 too.

The point is, it\'s okay to use gameshark to get through difficult points that people are frustated with.

Which reminds me, I need to buy a new one because I\'m *stuck* in DMC2.
(The person who tells me that DMC2 is easy will have their throats ripped out. Okay? Only Lucia\'s seems easier than Dante\'s. I hate that infested heliocopter.)

If you use it the fist time you use a game, you are an UBER-NEWBIE. It\'s a written code of gaming that you cannot use a \'Shark the first time unless you get majorly stuck to the point that you cannot play it anymore. But you should still look up a guide beforehand.

Only use the shark for good, like when you are finished with the game. If you just wanna see what the codes do, then do the last option. They were really meant to give the player the debugging power the developer had. Remember, the developer has to play through it the correct way, also. Do as they do, and only use them for a demo of the game.[/font]

I used to use a Game Genie back in the NES days every now and then. See, back then there were a few games here and there that actually were hard and assistance was necessary. I haven\'t played a hard game in ages. Challenging, yes. But after a few tries it becomes second nature. So many years now. I\'m beginning to forget what it\'s like to throw your controller in a fit of rage.

I have have a GS for Playstation, but that gets little use aside from the 8 cards worth of V-Mem. Now that\'s a nice feature.

Ive got a gameshark, but useit only for DVD region, and codes.... a bit only,
Example: FF7: Debug
FF8: Debug

I cannot use gameshark for gba games, cause I have no GBA GS ;D;D

Right, whatever. If I am having a problem with the game, that does not make me a loser. That makes me a person who wants to understand the game better but have given up on everything. (Oh hohoho, there were so many games that I wanted to give up on. What ticks me off is when I turn it off and the next day, I can get through just fine?! Sometimes the games are out to make me bald. Grr.)

I only limit my gameshark usage to items and money. You know, being a college student doesn\'t leave me with a lot of free time. If I want to play something, it\'s for the plot. Hey, you silly lusers, shut up. The games have a plot to it! Just look for it.

I\'d like the posts that go \"OMG CHEATING IS BAD LOLZ\" to stop. If you\'re going to say something, say something with thought/intelligence instead of that.

I just ruins the gaming experience. I don\'t bother buying them. I didn\'t once for the GBC though.....but that was to get Celebi and Mew for the pokemon games because you can\'t get them without the cheat cartage.

ok ill be a lil more intellegent...game sharks have a huge risk of ruining your game and with my file i would not want to risk my work on a few good chips.....its digital russian ruollette ( i cant spell ruollette)

most people who have trouble playing the game refer to a internet walkthrough, well the people who made the walkthrough must have refered to something, maybe if they had trouble they used a gameshark, so they\'re not bad unless you type a random code that totally ruins your game:miam:

I used to use Gameshark Pro (w/ the code generator) for hacking codes on my PSX, now that I own a Ps2, I just play through the game without any cheat devices. That reminds me I still have those MMX SNES hacks from my game genie.

I\'m well aware of the gameshark ruining the game saves, but I NEVER had that problem.
The only problems I had with gameshark version 2 was that the codes that I manually input would suddenly disappear. Also, I had fun problems with FFX... sometimes, certain scenes froze because of gamesharks codes being activated, but the solution was to get through that part without gameshark then turn it back on.

I may invest in Gameshark version 3... but I have to focus on my PC right now.

personally i think that it would be nice to cheat but only after you are done with the game

that way you get the gaming expierience and still get to become the ultra powerful demon lord(or whatever you do) when you\'ve won
