Saturn dabbled in it a bit, Dreamcast a little moreso, now all major competitors in the gaming arena have an online plan of some sort under their belt.

No doubt it\'s becoming more and more common. The question is this: Is this another journey by anxious gaming companies to latch on to the latest trend, or is it incredibly cool, and worth keeping around?

When it\'s all said and done, it\'s the gamers who decide just that. So in short, how do you feel about the whole online gaming scene? Inquiring minds wanna know.

the only thing that I believe that the computers are intended for is to play online games on them. If they never wanted online games, then they probably wouldn\'t have even started the internet. therefore in a weird way, eberything is connected. tell me this, anyone who replies to this message: what to you do on your computer when you aren\'t on msn or this site or anything like taht. what do you do?

Er, I was referring to online console gaming. That \"that\'s what computers are for\" response is there as if to say \"What\'s the point of online console gaming when we can do it on computers?\"

That\'s what computers are for. Think about it...With a computer, what\'s the fastest internet connection you can have? Well over 10,000kb/s in some countries. In this, though, 576kp/s with broadband but 56kb/s. What can you get with a console? You may be able to get 56k but I somehow doubt you can get 576k. I prefer consoles how they are/were w/o internet. Besides. Think of the phone bill for a long time!!

Actually, I know Xbox and PS2 have broadband support. Not sure about the Cube, but I wouldn\'t be surprised if it did.
