What that statement means is that the server that Altavista makes its translation from (bablefish) only takes the words from a dictionary, most of the time making it a pointless translation. the words they use are different that what you want and need.
For example, if you needed a translation for Nail Polish in *french*, it will give you \"clou polonais\", meaning \'a polish nail\'. What you really need is a translator, or pay to have someone actually look at the translation to see if it\'s correct and to correct it!:D

There is a program you have to buy to use on computer to translate..I dont want translator to know what my note is talking about, too nosy you know..buy a program instead.
