Now that another semester of college courses are done and over with, I can resume my metool game based on Fred the Met (that guy that wanted to be king of the net). I\'ve pretty much sat down with game maker and studied the fact, this tool is like visual studio with a cobol concept in the background. So I started on the main character other known as Fred.

What fred can do so far:
-Stand in 2 directions.
-Walk in 2 directions.
-Jump in 2 directions.
-Hide under helmet in 2 directions.
-Spin jump (random shot ability will be added later for special attack).
-Bouncing off ememies such as drillers.

More abilities I haven\'t programmed yet I\'ll post here later, for now the game is looking pretty good*.;D

As for the game- impressive. I\'m looking forward to it. I can\'t wait for version 0.5 beta!

Shooky here apparantly knows alot of programming so he doesn\'t really need a game making program that\'s easier. (it\'s for wimps anyways and shooky\'s not a wimp.)

If Fred would pc me with his email I could send him a demo of some of the moves I\'ve already done with his character.

It will infact star Fred as the Evil Energy Powered Metool who\'s on a revenge strike on Wily. the game is played out before mm7, so i\'m using basically all nes sprites from sprites inc to create the game.


Why should you care?

Anyhow, I\'ve faced worse programming software than game maker (refers to the OS400 with Cobol and RPG for generating banking reports). Anyhow Game maker to me is like programming cobol and vb in a sense (that\'s how I look at it anyhow).

So let\'s think of a story for this game.

Who is Fred the met in this game? Well? He\'s the only metool who\'s been exposed to teh evil energy of Dr Wily\'s from outter space!

What\'s Fred\'s mission? Well? I haven\'t quite worked that out yet. But here\'s my thoughts: After Wily sent Fred to destroy Megaman and was almost destroyed himself, Megaman is dismantled and sent into peices to the scrap yard as Dr Cossack finds this lil metool and revives him to dispatch Fred on a multi-rescue and destroy mission. Light Labs has been ransacked with Wily\'s robots and kidnapped the good doctor. To Be Continued...:rolleyes:

Hmm hmm hmm, so far I\'m fixing up some quick code for the Met Buster canon version of Fred awhile before I figure out how to code the bouncing of Fred\'s napalm bombs as he does a spin jump.
