Iceman has the correct idea. Canada Day doesn\'t celebrate independence from Britain however, for at the time of Confederation Canada was not an independent nation. Currently Canada is, which is a result of Statutes and stuff, the biggest occuring in 1982.
Woo hoo! Somebody noticed! Canada Day is like an Independence Day, only Canadian.
There are even fairs for it followed a fireworks display. I\'ll bet that July 4 gets alot of that too, eh?
(Heh...\'eh?\' ... Bad Canadian joke created by Americans)
