Exactly. The \"he\" comments are due to CoA\'s alterations. The guide\'s referencing Serenade as a boy is because it was made to coincide with CoA\'s altered game. I can\'t understand why they did this, though.

i think COA just made the mistake once, then were too lazy to go back an fix it, so they kept on just say \"he\"

I think shes a girl. Just my opinion. Plus, they really lack female navis. The only ones that I know are Roll, and Ring(man/women). But thats it. SO yeah, shes definantly a girl. Just how she looks to. If anyone has any knowledge of other female navis, PM me. Sorry for going off topic.

I know for a fact that its a boy sence i bought the players manual, and it says he about 8 times.

There could have been something lost in translation and the guide just went with it. It\'s (the guide) not made by Capcom or Nintendo anyway.

SERENADE IS A GIRL!!!

Capcom of Japan invented the original concepts of the game, making THEM the more resourceful distributers! So if CoJ says it\'s a girl, it\'s a girl!

All Capcom of America did was screw up on the translations, or changed it maybe because they felt Serenade should be a male character. Either way, CoA did NOT invent the character, Serenade originates from CoJ, hence she is CoJ property!

Exactly! It\'s no different from how Rockman became Megaman, all because CoA decided to change it. That doesn\'t mean that he officially becomes Megaman, he has just been renamed after the original concept, Rockman. So while Serenade is originally a girl, CoA just changed that character into something else, a guy. Which is not a bad thing, it\'s merely a change in what the translators believe is a better idea, however, that does not mean he will always been known as a him.




And i\'ll bet that players manual is American too! You can\'t rely on that for the real info.!

Serenade was originally a girl in other games but in the battle network series, its a guy! Guys can have long hair, just look at protoman or zero. He\'s obviously the KING of the undernet, not QUEEN. Why would a girl be refered to as \"king\"?

I never knew about Serenade before my friend Shadowman.EXE V3 told me about him/her.But I believe Serenade is a boy because why would they call him/her \"KING\" it doesn\'t make sense it\'s making me angry :burp: nevermind.

she is a gril and 2 reasons why are 1you can tell just by looking at a pic 2 most of the time male navis have the word \"man\" at the end of their names (eccpt for Bass/Forte) and it refers to in the game as \"only the under king may pass\" only because when you defeat her (Seranade)
Megaman/Rockman becomes the under king.

Think, the Undernet Navi\'s refer to her as KING because why in the world would there be a QUEEN! It wouldn\'t make sense to say that it would be a QUEEN. They say KING because they need to have a little disguise to protect it from all of the little OUTSIDERS. I think Seranade\'s a girl. Heck! I don\'t even know what I\'m saying!:conf:

COA HAD TO CHANGE IT TO KING BECUASE THEY NEEDED TO SAVE SPACE(japanese charecters are words,english are letters,so they have to cut back)

Well I can\'t remember if the Japanese game was done in Kanji, but if it was, it makes sense. Kanji reduces the amount of characters signifigantly. To the point where it would take up much more space once translated. We\'re talking about double. The cart might have just been able to fit King, let alone Queen.

I take the girl vote simply because the Japanese version says so. I do not trust COA. Look what they did to the ending. THEY CUT OFF THE VICTORY PICTURE *sobs*.
But Serenade just looks more like a girl anyways.
