As Gohan said, don\'t double post your topics. Second of all, you get stars by completing various tasks. In MMBN 3, you get stars for doing the following

1st - Beat Alpha
2nd - Collect all 200 Standard Chips
3rd - Beat Bass GS
4th - Defeat all Time Trial Navis
5th - Collect all 85 MegaChips
6th - Defeat every Omega Navi
7th - Collect every P.A. in the P.A. Note

But leveling up, I suspect you\'re talking about MMBN 2. You level up by getting more powerups, regups, memups, and Hp Mems. The stars are as follows

1st - Defeat Gospel
2nd - Defeat WWW Area
3rd - Collect every Chip
4th - Collect every P.A. in your P.A. Note
5th - Collect every \"Secret Chip\"
