Bryant's lips curled. He thought on what to say.
"Well....My name is Bryant, and my close partner, is Veronica. The woman you just took away. We are...were mercinaries and we worked for a man named Sawyer. I don't know what has happened to him, but chances are he is dead. We also had anouther partner, Krauser. He well....is dead, and in Hell...I think. Veronica and I are dead as well but we got out and tried to help out anyone. Though we seemed to have failed. That's all you need to know." He stated firmly at the end.

"Perhaps, dear little Cora," Re-Tuul said as she flew off, "But with my new powers, I'd have been back soon enough. I can't be killed here. Even by one of the Seven Beasts."

He hunkered down, still watching. "Of course, Kuro's power was great, but I found something even greater than him. There will always be something stronger. Tell me, Cora, what will you do when Lord Ziatoch has returned?"

The Khaglessi leaped off the building, spreading his wings and taking flight, down to the streets to feast.

===At the island===

R.D. slowly made his way down the other side of the temple, walking up to the gates of the battlefield. He pushed it open, ignoring the groan of the gate's ancient hinges.

He walked down the steps, and when his feet touched the stone floor, a memory shot into his head; a memory of nine beasts circling in the air above him. All of them looked like Re-Tuul. In shock, he let go of Lumiya's power, and pain wracked his body. He staggered forward, dropping to one knee. "What... what's going on...?" he whispered.

Matt observed the impending blast with a grimace. That's gonna smart. He crossed his arms and braced for the worst. I hate to keep hounding you like this, Omega Core, but...

The weight in Alasea's hands became non-existent-it was clear that the statue had disappeared.

Alasea looked down at gasped at her empty hands. "How?" she whispered, "Matt...?"

===With R.D.===

The pain was not as bad as before, when the First Cipher unlocked, and soon R.D. was able to pick himself up again. He went closer to the center of the arena, looking around. More memories entered his mind.

As one, the nine Khaglessi fluttered down to the ground, gripping massive greatswords in their hands, their wings retracting into their backs. With a primal roar and his swords forgotten, R.D. ran and leaped at the first one, grabbing it by the head and crushing its skull, sending its blood everywhere. Still furious, he used his momentum to get behind the demon, turned and lifted it up above him. As he began to twist, the monster's body convulsed until it burst, pouring blood all down him.

R.D. shook his head as the memory hit. Stepping closer, more came to him.

R.D. threw the corpse aside and looked up as he heard a hate-filled roar split the air. A Khaglessi leapt at him, blocking out the sun, its blade ready to cleave him in two. R.D. grabbed the first monster's weapon and cleaved the second's leg off at the knee before putting its lower blade through the monster's chest.

"My god..."

Hmm I was waiting for you to do a powerful attack,now I can do mine" he then cocked his sholders back,"GOUUUUKA WOLF",suddently a huge wolf made out of gouka jump out of Kagai's chest like a ghost.It then ran for virus's blast with uncanny speed.When both attacks made contact their was huge exploshon so big it made the ground shake.

Bryant looked away for a moment, then looked back.
"Ok, my brother is in prison right now for murder, his name is Brandon. His bail amount is over 2 billion. He's there for life. I am what I am in order to pay off that debt." He nodded then rolled his tongue in his mouth. He tapped his foot. "Well....need anything in particular?" He asked impatiently.

There was a flash in front of Matt-not particularly strong, but in his weakened condition it still burned into his eyes.

When the glare faded, the blast was still streaking in and a familiar face somehow told him not to panic.

"...how the hell did you get here?" Matt asked.

It didn't matter.

"Did you come here to help me?"

It was time to turn the tables.

"But how?"

He would see.

R.D. slowed and stopped as he reached the center of the battlefield. There were several indentations in the ground, going from the walls to the center. The very center looked like it could slide up and down, as if it were an elevator. He hunched down next to it, and another memory invaded his mind.

Another Khaglessi charged into the fray, snarling at R.D. With mighty swings, R.D. and the Khaglessi parried and traded blows with the greatswords. Thinking quickly, he grabbed his Phase Blade from its sheathe and raised it to the demon's head, activating it. The blade impaled the monster through the head. Retracting it, he finished the monster off with the greatsword. Turning and grinning madly, R.D. launched himself at another beast. The two grappled, and the demon snapped its jaws at R.D.'s face. He avoided the teeth and kicked the beast back, and he heard another approach from behind. Reaching into his pocket, R.D. pressed a button on a remote, and the top of his backpack blew open. Several black spikes shot out of it, each one piercing the beast's skull and dropping it to the ground. R.D. turned and went to finish off the other Khaglessi.

===With Alasea===

Alasea shook her head, clearing it. She looked around at the base of the temple, noticing an entrance beneath the stairs. Drawing her shortswords, she entered cautiously.

Inside the room, the walls were covered with strange inscriptions and heiroglyphs. One of them depicted a strange arch, and people moving towards it. "What in the world...?" she whispered. She looked around, and found a small amulet on a table. Without thinking, she grabbed it and made her way out of the temple.

"Well as far as I know, he's dead. But he was held in a high security prison in New York city. I wasn't told which. For securty reasons they say." He shrugged.

R.D. stood up, holding his head with one hand. "Of all the things to remember... why this?" He looked around, his hand still holding his head, when another memory struck, making him cry out softly.

R.D. struck out at another Khaglessi. After a few quick swings, he buried the edge of his greatsword into the beast's shoulder. The killing blow stopped just before it would cleave through completely from underneath the opposite arm. Dropping the weapon, R.D. turned and reactivated his Phase Blade, holding it in his clawed gauntlets. With a cold glare, he charged forward at what would be his sixth victim. With powerful swings, he removed the beast's left arm and right leg, and then stuck his blade through the demon's throat.

R.D. sunk down to his knees, clutching his head and groaning.

Three Khaglessi were left, and both stared eyelessly with hatred at R.D. Roaring, one of them brandished its greatsword and made ready to attack. R.D.'s blade screamed through the air as he leapt at the beast, and before the Khaglessi knew it, its head went flying to crash down between the remaining two. One of them snarled and made to charge. R.D. was already there, however, and his slammed his gauntleted hand into the beast's stomach, ripping through it and coming out its back. The force of the blow slammed them both into the last Khaglessi, and the clawed gauntlet began to carve into its stomach. Re-Tuul screamed as blood leaked from the wound. But then, something moved behind R.D., and the young berserker ripped its hand out of the corpse to attack.

Mercifully, the memories stopped. R.D. looked up slowly, taking in the battlefield where he and nine Khaglessi once battled, leaving only two survivors: him, and Re-Tuul. "God... what am I?" he whispered fearfully.

"A warrior who wanted vengeance," a small voice spoke up behind him. R.D. whipped around to gaze on, unbelievably, a child.

The blast exploded in front of Matt with seemingly no impedement. But then, the waves of energy generated by the blast parted, banished by a shining emerald light.

"All right, you bastard..."

Matt floated up into the air. Clenching to his frame was powerful, emerald green armor, the helm, gauntlets, and boots mimicking the horns and claws of a dragon. "Time to SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!"

Alasea looked down at the amulet clutched in her hand as she stepped out of the temple. It was a simple circle, depicting a cresent moon cradling a star between its two points. A moonstone was inlaid in its center. It looked old, but felt strange to her. She figured her friends might be able to figure out what to do with it.

===With R.D.===

R.D. looked at the child warily. The boy looked thin and frail, yet healthy. His clothing was ragged. But his eyes frightened him--swirling tidal pools of grey and black that spun opposite one another. Those eyes never blinked.

"Who are you?" he asked the child.

The boy laughed. "An unimportant question, I am merely an incorporeal tangibility sent here from the Library of the Isle. A Principality of Observation if you will."

R.D. frowned. "And what are you here to do for me?" he asked.

"I am here to watch and listen." The boy turned away and looked out across the arena and the cliff towards the gathered storm clouds far away in the distance. "And to start you on the path to end your Age..."

"Excuse me?" R.D. said, disturbed, "End my age?"

The boy looked back to him. "The Age you live is in coming to a close," he said, "The Seven Beasts roam the Earth while humanity cowers in the darkness, while a few fight the growing evils. And despite all of the troubles, a new threat is emerging."

"New threat?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Why do you think we placed Lumiya within you?"

R.D. frowned. "Oh, so YOU'RE the one I can blame for screwing my life up."

The child shook his head. "No, not I. I am only hear to watch and listen. Others of the Isle placed the Weapon inside you."

The child looked over. "Re-Tuul means to destroy you for what you witnessed here. But you must find out why the battle took place to begin with."

"And the others?"

"They will help you on your way. Protect the girl. Find your way home, and the way will become clear. A storm is coming," the child said, "And the War of Ultimate Evil is approaching. At its end will be the dawn of a new Age..."

The child seemed to fade from existence, leaving behind one last message.

"... or the destruction of your universe."

The child was gone. R.D. held a hand up to his head. "Alright, this is seriously starting to piss me off."

Bryant paused and glared into Gouki's eyes.
"Hartnett." He responded. "Brandon Hartnett is his name, and Bryant Hartnett is mine." He frowned and turned away with his arms crossed.

Bryant expected this, he knew that Brandon would be brought in. Though it would be nice to see him again, they were to all die, as far as he knew. He rose an eyebrow to Gouki's last part of his question. Though he's been pestered by it numberous times, he prepared himself to give the same excuse again.
"At first allies, then we've grown to be friends. Along with Krauser, we still aren't used to him, but an ally is an ally. Anyway, yes Veronica and I are friends. Close ones." He explained.

In New York Brandon had come to gather some weapons when the prison break came around as the demons attacked. He was hiding in a closet now, several random things against the door. He had a M16 aimed at the door that was being pounded. It began to give, so he opened fire on the demons. They backed off, wounded. He reloaded, as he wasted an entire clip on them. He reached into his orange pant pocket pulling out then next clip as he knocked the other out. He placed it in place, pounded it, then cocked the gun. His blue eyes kept watch on the door.

"Not only can it talk the talk..."

Matt swung a powerful fist at the blast, knocking it aside. "It can sure as hell walk the walk!"

There was a flash of orange light, and Re-Tuul appeared in the air above Kattelox Island. He made a quick fly-by of it, looking down on the inhabitants and the growing army.

"Interesting," he murmured, "This place is surprisingly untouched by the Seven... quite interesting indeed..."

The demon chuckled and continued to circle the island, making sure to avoid being seen by its inhabitants.

Looking around from the air, Re-Tuul spotted something quite interesting indeed.

"So, Ancient, THIS is where you reside?" he said to himself, grinning, "Will you be coming to fulfill your fool promise?"
