OOC: What the hell do you expect me to do, Juno? I can't fathom a reasonable way out of this situation without you neutralizing anything I do. <_<
OOC: You gotta open the lines of communication with us concerning these things, Juno. We'd like to plan accordingly.
Matt appeared behind Donovan, and pointed his clawed finger at the monster's back. His eyes were completely awash in white light as new robotic minions raised from the remains of his old ones. "GIANT F***ING ROBOT ATTACK!"
Throughout existence, rips in space and time randomly opened, sucking in whatever was unfortunate enough to cross them.
(OOC: First of all, I'm starting to get really pissed off at IO. Second of all, Re-Tuul isn't actually evil... sure, he serves an evil entity, but he's apathetic to both sides of the conflict. He respects and admires humans and their ability to seemingly overcome anything, and he just wants to kill R.D. He's not good, but he's not evil, either. Therefore, he is unaffected by AngelWater. Why else do you think he holds humans in high regard?)
Re-Tuul caught the rocket and simply spun it back at the person who fired it. "Ask me if I care, Ancients," he replied.
Re-Tuul fluttered back a ways and grinned at the fused being. "Tell me, do the humans mean anything to you?"
===Underneath an island off the coast of Kattelox===
Three men were walking down a cavernous hallway in the cavern complex. Their lighting was poor and the terrain hazardous. Each man had powerful weapons and specialized devices at their disposal.
"Ow! Dammit!" one of them, a redhead, swore, "Why did we have to do this!?"
"Because, Crow," another, this one with short blond hair, said, "The boss asked us to and we do what he asks us to. Why can't you get that through your damn head!?" he finished as he whacked his companion in the back of the head.
"Dammit, Atha, stop hitting me!" Crow yelled.
"Will both of you shut up!?" screamed the third man, whose pale brown hair covered one of his angry eyes, "If you look on ahead you'll see we don't have to be here much longer!"
"Damn, so we donít, Shael," Atha said. They entered a large room, easily large enough to fit a large town inside. At its center, however, was a large structure giving off a green glow that traveled up its side in pulses.
"Heh, the boss was right. The Age IS coming to an end. This wouldn't be here if it wasn't," Shael said, "Crow, go find the boss and tell him we found it."
"Why the hell do I have to!? Make Atha do it!"
"Because, idiot, you're the one who can fly the best and the fastest! Now GO, MORON!" Atha screamed back at him.
"Tch. Fine," Crow said, activating the flight pack on his back and blasting down the hallway from whence they came.
Brandon watched as they took him away. He wasn't threatened, just uncomfortable. He did well a little unsafe while flying, and being in the hands of a demon didn't help matters any. He looked down, seeing the destruction that the Seven have brought. "Quite a roudy bunch." He thought. He didn't think on falling at the moment, it was more on the destruction done below him, that plauged his mind so.
(OOC: I don't really expect anyone to survive. 'Tis why I didn't expect you, Matthew, to live)
Saikou shot from his left palm a chain made of lightning at Re-Tuul. The chain acted like it was alive and wrapped around the foul being by itself, holding him in place. "Trigger!"
Trigger changed his arm to something completely different, it didn't even look like a gunarm. Just before the rocket hit him he swung his weapon at it and a long blade of energy came out and slashed through the rocket. "I'm on it!" He spread his feet a bit and crouched down slightly. Using his jetskates he sped off toward Re-Tuul, ready to strike. A couple feet before reaching him, Trigger jumped toward Re-Tuul and went to slash him across the chest with his BeamBlade.
"How insulting." With a wave of his left arm a gust of wind-like shadow-energy blew over the robots, destroying what was left of them. Donovan made himself just a big shadow for a second and then remolded himself to face Matthew. "I'm through messing around! I'm going to eat you alive!" He shouted and then opened his mouth and went to bite down on Matt.
"Look out!" Said a being completely in white and then flew right into Matthew, knocking him out of the way. The man got caught in between Donovan's teeth, but managed to keep the bottom jaw from closing. With a bit of a struggle he shoved the mouth open and flew up to Donovan's eye level.
"Awai!?" Donovan exclaimed with shock.
"Hello Donovan." Awai said with a faint smirk.

(OOC: I'm getting real fscking tired of IO's b.s.)
Re-Tuul watched as the Blade Arm streaked toward him, and didn't even flinch as the energy blade slashed through his stomach, causing red blood to arc. The wound healed almost instantly, and Re-Tuul's claw struck out at Trigger, forcing him to dodge. He then wrenched himself free of the lightning chain.
With a flap of his wings, the Khaglessi knocked Saikou back with a gust of wind, then took off into the sky. "Now then," he said, holding up his claw, which had burst to life with anti-matter energy, "Since you haven't killed them all yet, I'm guessing you three are fond of the humans. If that's the case, you might want to stop this..."
He whipped around and flung the antimatter at the nearest city. The blast had enough energy in it to level the entire city and eradicate the life from it. Re-Tuul grinned at his opponents. "Catch," he quipped.
Elsewhere, someone was streaking towards Re-Tuul's battlefield on black metal wings.

"Hold the phone!" Matt shouted. "Who the f*** are you?!"
(OOC: R.D. I let it slide the first couple times, but no more. NO AUTO-HITS ALLOWED! Wind or not, you CANNOT automatically hit any opposing character! Auto-hits are not limited to actual hits, throws also go under the auto-hit catagory. If will not edit your post you'll be sent to The Room...I'm sorry I sound like a jerk, but there are some rules that cannot & should not be ignored)
Awai turned to Matthew and said, "Awai, Balance of Light." he quickly flew over to Matthew and took hold of him. "And I'm here to save your butt!" With that said Awai teleported Matthew and himself to where R.D. and the others were and released him. "You should be much safer here."
(OOC: I've seen you auto-hitting my character plenty of times so far. I'm trying to keep things balanced, but you're godmoding way too much. I'll edit, but you have to try to give everyone else a chance too.)
(OOC: Novice, don't you dare falsely accuse me of rule breaking. If I ever do an auto-hit it's merely because one of my characters has been auto-hit by the very character I struck. I never do an auto-hit without a justified reason. Also, I don't godmod)
Trigger rolled out of the way of Re-Tuul's attack with ease and just watched a moment as he spoke.
Saikou didn't budge from the gust of wind, but hovered in place just as before. "Oh, please." Saikou teleported, grabbed the blast, then teleported right back where he was. "Son, I've held up against the power of a balance, you think this little thing is gonna do much to stop me?" He asked Re-Tuul. With a flash of multi-colored energy the blast was destroyed in Saikou's hand. "Now, you gonna stop playing and fight me? Or maybe you've realized that your power is simply inferior."
~With the demons~
The demons transporting Brandon were merely 100-feet from Gouki's throne. "Welcome to Osaka, Japan." The demon carrying Brandon said, and then started to descend toward the throne.
Gouki sensed his demons nearing, and grinned. He opened his eyes and straightened his back, scooting back a bit in his seat.
The demons landed before Gouki, and the one placed Brandon down, and then all 5 bowed.
Gouki nodded, seeming most pleased with them. "Well done. You may go now."
The demons rose up and then flew off.
OOC: In any storytelling RPG, auto-hitting in general is frowned on, Juno. There's also been incidents where you just don't plain give us any chance to succeed. Compromise is key for a storyteeling RPG.
Brandon looked up at Gouki, he picked at the butt of his rifle. He then looked over to Bryant, who had watery eyes. Brandon couldn't help but do the same, though they only nodded to eachother.
"Long time no see, Brandon." Bryant spoke.
"Yeah....too long." Brandon responded. They both shifted thier gaze to Gouki, thier eyes back to normal, the water wipped off.
(OOC: The way I see it is that it's better then sending them to The Room every freaking time they auto-hit...which he still did Anyhow, yeah. Sometimes it's just better to use an auto-hit on them, too, instead of trapping them in The Room for a while. One more thing, there will always be those times when you can't possibly win, unless someone comes in to save your @$$ or you have to run away, or you die. Just ask Blazen, he's been with us quite some time, he knows exactly what I mean--after all he fought Kuro more than once. For these reasons I respect him very highly. Not once has he complained about 'godmodding', auto-hits, or anything of the sort. Why? Because he's just that freaking good and he finds a way to kick his foe's butt anyways )
Gouki looked down at the two, and just thought. Interesting reaction. So, when one is reunited with one he or she cares about dearly he or she is filled with joy, and his or her eyes tear up... Very interesting. So, what if they were ripped apart again? Or what if one were to die before the other one's eyes? Gouki asked himself, looking upon the 2 men as if they were merely labrats. "So, you are Brandon?" He asked Brandon.
OOC: I understand that there should be cases when you can't win. I never said they're shouldn't be. But considering the strengths of R.D. and Matt, there should be more opportunities where they score hits. I find it a bit irritating that you "honestly" expect Matt to die against Donovan-I don't recall making that intention. You can't control the whole story, and the way it is now, we all need to give and take so we can make a good story.
(Hey, don't get me involoved, this your problem.)
Brandon nodded slightly.
"Yes, I am he." He responded with a smirk.
(OOC: I never planned on Matthew dying. I'm sorry I didn't make myself perfectly clear last time. I thought either 1. He'd run away. 2. Someone would come in and get him the heck outta there. or 3. He'd be killed. Also, I don't try to control the entire story or other characters, but you do realize this is my Apocalypse, no? So, in a way I do somewhat control how the story is going right now. Not fully, but more than some simply because it's my plot to take over Earth that's taking place
XP Sorry Blazen)
Gouki admired how the tiny beings were able to look at him without trembling. "So, are you a friend of Veronica as well, or just his brother?"
"Veronica....haven't seen her in years." Brandon said as he brought a hand to his chin.
"She's...been well." Bryant said suddenly, trying to keep secret both have died. Brandon nodded to him then helkd out his hand and motioned it down. Bryant calmed to the motion.
"I'm sure...you are her always are. Where is she away?" He turned to Gouki.
(OOC: I'm new at this, I've admitted that freely, I am still learning the rules. I have to do this through trial and error, as no one explained to me the rules and with the few pieces I've read of the 70-some odd pages of real plot, you guys made the rules up as you go... and I can't trust IO to allow me the luxury of reading the whole thing to figure them all out. And I distinctly remember asking you if there was anything I should know before I entered the RPG, and none of this was explained in your reply. So I apologize, Juno, if I took liberties, I went back and tried to fix my mistake and I'll try not to make it again. Alright?)
Re-Tuul shrugged and made a non-commital sound. "Why should I stop playing? I've been having fun."
The beast flexed his body and summoned his sword, placing himself in a ready stance to fight. "Now, if you would please continue this battle and continue the...?" he said, letting his question trail off. Someone was approaching them, someone he had told not to return until he commanded.
Re-Tuul lowered his blade in annoyance and turned his back to the Ancients, unmindful of any attack they might throw at him. "Crow, why have you returned?" he asked as he stopped in front of the demon. He had a powerful build and black armor on this arms, chest, and legs. He held a flail-like weapon on his left hand, and a double-barreled machine gun strapped to his right arm.
"Sorry, boss. We found it, so those losers sent me to tell you. Just a little island south of here," Crow replied sourly.
The Khaglessi's mood changed instantly, and he smiled. "Good work, Crow. Return to the others and make your way out of here. It's time we go." At the command, Crow flew off, too fast to be followed.
Re-Tuul turned back and grinned right at Saikou. "Some word you have there, MegaMan Juno. Looks like you failed to kill me again. Not that you could."
The Khaglessi dropped to the ground and looked right at Trigger. "Give my regards to what's left of your deplorable race, Purifier."
With a flash of orange light, Re-Tuul was gone.
===At the island===
"Hey guys!" Alasea shouted to Hsien-Ko and Hugo as she ran up to them. She stopped in front of them, breathing hard, before looking up and holding out the amulet. "I found this in one of the temples back there. It was on a table under a wall depicting some arch that people were walking through. Do you think it's a portal or something?" she asked.
Edited by RisingDragon on October 12, 2006 at 18:02:20.
OOC: Whatever. I'm going to pretend this didn't happen and Matt teleported himself out of there.
"Hell if I know," Hugo replied.
"Well, maybe it is," Hsien-Ko said. "Let's check it out."

Trigger wasn't one to get pissed off at the comments of his foes, Juno & Kouken on the hand...
Saikou tightened his fists and glared at where Re-Tuul once was. He let out a terrible scream of rage, and then began shouting profanities. "THAT'S IT! I swear on the name of The Master the next time I fight that pathetic excuse for a wanna-be-demon I will not leave enough of him for his minions to burry! I will erradicate him, his minions, and all who ever witnessed his past! I will leave no evedence that he ever was, aside from the soon to be fading memory of him in my mind." I will use my full power, and destroy him with one fatal blast. Saikou thought to himself.
"Dang...he's mad." Trigger stated as he looked up at Saikou with widened eyes.
"Oh, I sent her to a friend of mine." Gouki answered with a smirk. "Hahaha." He chuckled lightly.
The demons transporting Veronica landed just a few yars away from Sheena. They placed the woman down and looked up at Sheena.
"What's this?" Sheena asked as she looked down at Veronica.
"We were ordered by Gouki to bring her to you." A demon replied.
"Another one of his experiments, no doubt." Sheena said to no one particular.
The three of them made their way back to the temples. They saw the slightly ajar gate to the arena and entered. They found R.D. sitting down just outside the inner circle of the arena center, curled up into a fetal position. They could hear him muttering.
Alasea ran up to the amnesiac teen and crouched down beside him, shaking his shoulder lightly. "Are you okay, R.D.? What happened?" she asked, concern lacing her voice.
R.D. looked up at her and muttered, "Let's just say I'm not totally amnesiac anymore." He stood up and ignored Alasea's confused stare. "Did you find anything?" he asked the group.
Alasea stood up and brushed herself off, then showed their temporary leader the amulet. "I found this, and evidence of what might be a portal or something."
R.D. blinked. "Think we can use it to go after Matt?" he asked.
"If not, hopefully he can drag himself back here," Hugo said. "But he ain't that good at teleporting to where he wants to go."
Veronica had awakened. She stood up shivering as she looked up seeeing Sheena. Veronica's eyebrow raised.
"W-where a-am-m I-i-i?" She asked shivering still.
"In good hands, no doubt." Bryant said to Gouki. "Well as good as you provide I suppose." He shrugged. Brandon chuckled at his brother.
"I can't help but to agree with him. Though I'm sure there is more than you're telling. I know when someone is lying. I've been in enough police interigations to know when someone is lying. I've been explained it several times. So be careful what you say, Master...what was it?" He asked.
"Yeah, we'd better go pull his ass out of the fire," R.D. said and turned to Alasea, "So, any idea where this portal is supposed to be?"
R.D. sighed in exasperation.
"We'll just have to look around, I guess," he said, catching Hugo's roll of his eyes. Alasea started muttering to herself as she wandered a bit, stepping into the inner circle. The ground shifted, causing her to yelp as it moved downwards slowly. She leapt off of it, and the circle returned to its original place.
R.D. raised an eyebrow. "An elevator?" he asked himself. He turned to Hugo and Hsien-Ko. "Who's in favor of checking it out?" he asked.
"Just as long as it doesn't get really hot down there," Hugo gibed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Hsien-Ko asked.
They all stepped on the elevator, and when Alasea stepped on last, the thing began to descend. She figured it must've been something to do with the amulet she found.
At the bottom, they found a long, torch-lit hall. They made their way through it, and entered a large, dome-shaped room with a strange object and altar in the center.
"Damn," R.D. swore softly as he laid his eyes on the structure. A large circle of stone was suspended in the air, the upper and lower quadrants of it removed. Strange runes were carved along what was left of the ring, and they glowed faintly.
The altar was a large circular table of stone, inlaid with many removable panels with corresponding runes on them. In the center was an indentation for a small circular object. Without thinking, Alasea stepped up to it and placed the amulet in the slot. The entire structure began to glow, the runes pulsing slowly and faintly with yellow light.
"Okay... now what?" R.D. asked no one in particular.
R.D.'s question was answered by God or some other divine force as the room suddenly shook.
"What the hell's going on now?!" Hugo demanded, trying to keep his balance.
A spatial rip tore itself in front of the stone, and a screaming Matt was spat out of the portal, promptly smashing into the ground face-first before the group.
It was followed by the dragon statue landing squarely on his head.
"...ow," he muttered into the floor.
Edited by The Helldragon on October 12, 2006 at 22:41:03.
R.D. blinked and looked down at his friend. "Man... what the hell happened to you?" he asked as he helped his friend up, giving him the dragon statue.
"Stupid crap," Matt muttered, taking the statue. "I'm tired as hell, too. Did that one village have any beds I can crash on?"
