Kalmar threw both of his arms up in a defensive X in front of him, hoping to at least stop RD's assualt. But when the teen's Godhand attack slammed into him, Kalmar was sent flying through the air like a ragdoll. He slammed into the ground, rolling roughly before stopping via collision with a tree.

----Italy----

Daemonus watched a small band of his followers devour the church goers, smiling darkly as their screaming slowly faded. He raised his right hand and looked at an altar at the back of the church. Lightning suddenly shot from his hand, slamming into the altar and causing it to explode, sending shrapnel flying.

When the dust had settled, a secret stairwell was revealed. Daemonus slowly strode down the steps, his minions howling and screeching as they turned around and left the church.

The time has come.

The barrier seemed to shimmer as Matt pounded on it, and suddenly grew electrified. It lashed out at Matt with an arc of static electricity. It wouldn't hurt Matt, but it'd make him think twice before attacking the barrier again.

R.D. crouched low and then shot forward again, releasing a primal yell, as he charged up a Light Beam. He thrust his hand forward, causing five blasts of superheated light energy to be released. The attack swarmed through the air at Kalmar, seeming to home in on him.

===Underneath the Vatican===

The eight monks all leapt to their feet and readied their weapons as Daemonus appeared.

"Your dark quest is at an end, fiend!" one of them shouted as it readied a bladed staff and attacked.

Two other monks, each wielding swords, went in for a pincer attack at rapid speeds at Daemonus' sides.

Kalmar picked himself off the ground, Alright, time to kill this punk. He saw the five blasts of light flying towards him and summoned his dark shield, deflecting or absorbing each of them in turn.

He summoned both of his swords and crouched low before sprinting forward to meet RD.

----Italy----

Daemonus finally reached the bottom of the stairs, only to be confronted by eight guardian monks.

Pathetic, he thought as one of them threatened him, and two more moved to assualt him, Is this all they have left?

He raised his left hand, firing off a beam of dark energy before raising his sword to combat his other opponent.

Crash. "Hmmm?" Crash, crash. What were those sounds, howels? Blazen thought to himself. He sat up and looked behind him, Italy. Blazen rose an eyebrow. Something wasn't right. He stood up, and began to back away. He then made a mad dash and jumped from his island. He soared for a moment and landed on the edge of Italy.

Crash, crash. He was closer. Now all he had to do was follow the noise. Blazen looked to the left...to the right. He then ran forward and made a hard left after a few yards. There was a chruch before him. He stopped and watched, listened.

The bolt hit Matt in the chest, and, in a cartoon fashion, he teetered backwards on one foot.

"Puny ineffectual lightning will not stop MEEEE!" he shouted in a overly dramatic voice, and landed back into a solid stance. "NO ONE can stop my forceful beating on things!"

"...he's not even making any sense," Hsien-Ko sighed, as Matt went right back to wailing on the barrier.

"Sometimes his stupidity is his strength," Hugo remarked.

R.D. leapt high into the air; higher than he could've before the Second Cipher unlocked. He reached into the Second Cipher energy and lashed out at the height of his leap, and attacked with the Shotgun Cannon. Over a dozen plasma burst lashed out from his outstretched hands, spreading outward in a cone as they descended towards Kalmar.

===Underneath the Vatican===

The front monk was blown apart by the dark wave of energy. Seeing the destruction of the first monk happen with such ease, the remaining monks threw themselves into the fight with weapons drawn.

Kalmar ran forward, throwing his body to the ground to avoid the rain of energy bolts. Using the momentum from his roll, he sprung into the air and shot a Dark energy beam at Rua from beneath, following quickly with his demonic swords.

----Italy----

Daemonus laughed darkly, wiping bits of the monk off of his visor before bolting forward with his sword drawn. He slashed through the second monk as he ran by, and used a wave of dark energy to splatter another against a far wall.

He leapt high into the air, firing off two more dark energy beams at the monks, permanently imprinting the men into the floor. Daemonus' sword carved through another as he landed, causing the monk to fall into two identical pieces.

A black pool of energy formed beneath each of the remaining monks before they were drawn downwards into them.

"Those are portals to hell, my friends," he laughed darkly as the holy men screamed in horror, "and not even your 'God' can save you from me!"

As the two portals slowly closed he strode forward to a large vault door set into a large stone wall. He held out both hands, gathering dark energy before unleashing them with a primal yell, blasting the door to splinters.

On the other side of the door was a massive hall depicting holy wars between good and evil, and set in the middle of this grand hall was a life-sized statue of an old Roman Legionnaire holding a spear at rapt attention. An ancient inscription was etched onto a stone tablet set at the base of it. Daemonus slowly walked to the statue and studied the ancient script, before reading it aloud, slowly piecing it together as he went.

“Seek… you… the world? Seek you… power? Does your… soul… despise peace and… thirst for… more? Does your soul… cry… for… destruction and… conquest? We… grant you… power to… ruin… the world. The power of… darkness. Evil… spirit of unholy lance. You are… the… Destroyer of Worlds.”

Daemonus' cold voice boomed throughout the hall as he laughed loudly.

Blazen could hear him loud and clear from outside the hallway. It's been a long while since he fought...but he had a feeling it was time for another.

Blazen gulped and backed away. His foot steps barely audible on the marble floor. He let out a grunt as a firey aura surround him, heating the area a bit. He crouched down and raised on hand above his head and the other even with his waist.

Even if it wasn't his buisness. He wanted to see to it that it had a happy ending. He took a deep breath and waited to see what happened.

As he fell, R.D. turned and thrust a hand forward. A small barrier formed in front of him, absorbing the dark beam with ease.

The enraged teen landed, then readied for the next assault. A molten boulder formed from the ground in front of R.D., and using the Godhand, he slammed the boulder hard, sending it rolling at Kalmar.

===Underneath the Vatican===

The entire church rumbled as the inscription was read. The statue suddenly began to crack, and rays of light shone out from them. More cracks revealed, and the room was quickly filled with light. Suddenly, the statue shattered, sending the shrapnel everywhere.

Once the light had faded, A black-hafted lance floated where the statue once stood. A long spearhead was attached to it, black on both ends and a dark gold in the center. A dark power radiated from it, and it called out to Daemonus.

The Lance of Longinus had been freed at last.

Kalmar landed, growing angry at the teen's new found power. Should have killed him when I had the chance, he thought as a large boulder suddenly came rolling towards him. He leapt into the air, arcing over the object but only barely. His clothes were so close they singed slightly and he swore he smelled burnt hair.

As he landed again he threw a shockwave of dark energy from his disfigured arm, and began sprinting forward after it.

----Italy----

Daemonus stood in mock awe of what happened, watching statue shards rocket throughout the massive room, and the light that caused it. He held up a hand to form a dark barrier, catching any shrapnel that might hit him.

He lowered his hand when the light had faded and inside his mask, he smiled. He slowly walked forward and eased his hands around the blackened haft of the 'holy' weapon, grasping it firmly.

Daemonus slowly disappeared, teleporting to Xobelisk's throne room. He held the Lance of Longinus as he knelt and bowed his head.

"I have returned."

After seeing nothing after the light, Blazen ran in the hallway. Nothing. He was apparently too late. Damn his hesitation. He might as well have led them out, whoever it was.

Blazen's teeth clentched his frustration. His fists tightened as he smashed a wall with his left hand, making a visible dent. Fire bursted from his body. He had done something terrible, just because of a moment of hesitation.

The firey aura around Blazen turned blue as did his hair and jacket. He began to growel in anger. He saw a flash of the man lusting darkness. He held his head and grunted in pain. He could hear someone laughing at him, in amusment. He could only hear them laughing in his head.

Blazen fell to his knees, holding his head. Blood began to drip from his nose. The aura around him turned black as did his jacket, shirt, and hair. He began to yell in pain as the laughter grew. The fire around him began shooting out and making holes in the walls.

Then all at once, it stopped. He panted standing up and going back to his base form. The laughter, the pain, the anger, all gone. He continued panting for a moment then headed out of the church without another thought of what happened here.

Behind Kalmar, the Molten Boulder rolled a ways and exploded.

R.D. brought his energy shield back up, which absorbed most of the shockwave. Some of it, however, broke through and shoved him back. It wasn't enough to deter him.

With another roar, the teen charged up his trademark twin plasma burst. He flung one, then, before the attack could fly forward, he slammed the second blast into it. The blast seemed to burst with power, and launched forward, now bigger than R.D. himself.

===Within Xobelisk===

The darkness gathered around the Throne of Souls, and a humanoid cloaked in darkness appeared, and the being walked forward to the kneeling Daemonus and accepted the weapon from him.

The dark power of the Lance swelled at His touch. It tried to consume Him, but He brought all of His will down upon the weapon.

You are mine now, the dark god thought-spoke with glee.

Ziatoch smiled. "You have done well," He said in a human's voice. "You have done well..."

With a roar, Matt slammed a vicious punch into the barrier, this one stronger than the rest. "OPEN UP, DAMMIT!"

"Matt, let it go," Hugo muttered, dismissing the matter with a wave of his pickaxe. "That damn thing's not going to go down until that bitch of a demon lets it down."

"...why can't we hurt him again?" Hsien-Ko asked, glancing up.

Matt withdrew his fists. "I don't know...but once I find out how to, I'm gonna f*** up his guts."

Kalmar saw the larger plasma burst coming for him and put up his dark shield, but when the blast hit him the shield failed and he was flung backwards. He rolled along the ground but quickly hopped up before he stopped, quickly wiping a thin line of blood from his mouth.

"I am done playing now, boy," he shouted as he held out his right arm. A dark mist began forming around his arm as he focused his energy into it, and the limb began to pulse and mutate further. The limb grew and Kalmar cried out in pain as he let his inner evil manifest itself increasingly more. His arm was about twice the size and his whole arm now was burning with the same flame as before.

He growled as he suddenly shot forward at RD, "Pain, I will show you what true pain is!"

----Italy----

Daemonus stood, eyeing his master with the new weapon he had brought him.

"Thank you, but it was for your will." His deep voice rang out, "I live to serve."

The aura burst up brighter around R.D., and with an angry cry he slammed the ground hard with his fist. The ground fractured, with chunks of concrete breaking apart and being slammed outward from the Earth Gaizer attack.

R.D. further used the force of the blow to launch himself upward again, leaping over Kalmar and landing a ways behind the demon hunter. He looked over his shoulder and snarled, then turned slightly and fired a large bolt of lightning at Kalmar.

===Within Xobelisk===

Ziatoch nodded to His servant. "Indeed."

The dark god dismissed the Lance with a thought, and the dark weapon disappeared within a black mist that faded quickly. Ziatoch walked back to his throne and sat down, and looked right at Daemonus.

"Your mission in Italy may have upset it's current ruler," He said, "It would be wise that you prepare our forces. I would not put it past Donovan to try an assault on Shayol Ghul. See to it, Daemonus."

OOC: @THD: Lmao. Wha? O.o'

Kalmar saw RD slam the ground and watched his prey's attack come closer to him. He growled and cocked his fist back, slamming it into the ground. The resulting shockwave cancelled out RD's attack, as well as his own.

Suddenly he was hit in the back by a bolt of lightning, and Kalmar stumbled forward. He glanced back, furious at having been caught off guard by the one he had hunted.

His arm began to burn brighter, and as he turned to face RD he slammed his swords together, summoning his scythe. The scythe suddenly caught on fire, and Kalmar hurled the scythe at RD.

----Xobelisk----

Daemonus watched the object he had retrieved disappate in a dark mist, and vaguely wondered where it had gone. But upon hearing his master's command, his mind refocused.

"Yes master, that would be most wise," he growled, thinking of the beast that claimed his master's land for his own.

"Shayol Ghul will be ready to repel anything Donovan may throw at us within the hour."

With that, Daemonus turned sharply and strode from the throne room quickly, barking orders loudly the moment after the door had shut behind him.

R.D. threw himself out of the way, gaining a burned cut in his leg for his trouble. At the pain of the attack, his fury grew. He thrust his hand out and started concentrating. What would happen if he combined light with darkness?

R.D. concentrated and gathered both light and dark energy, and began firing energy blasts. They were black spheres surrounded by white light, and they rapidly homed in on Kalmar.

OOC: Akira reference. It would take too long to explain, just Wiki it, specifically the Tetsuo character.

OOC: Lol, I actually looked it up. Very interesting.

Kalmar saw RD concentrating but when he began throwing orbs of both light and dark elements, he was baffled. He held out his disfigured hand to catch the orbs, channeling power into his hand to prepare himself. Yet when the orb connected with his hand, he cried out in pain as it forced his hand back to the point of almost breaking his arm. He moved his arm to let the orb pass, only to be blindsided by another which sent him rolling on the ground.

He looked backwards and quickly flipped into the air, avoiding a low-flying orb, only to be struck in the chest by another which drove him towards the ground. Before he could be crushed, he used his demonic arm and altered it's course moments before he slammed into the ground.

Kalmar stood again, facing another orb but he quickly charged his fist with dark energy and punched the orb. The orb slowed for a moment before deflecting upwards, splitting a tree in two.

I don't know how to counter these, he thought frantically, I'm used to either dark or light, but not both.

R.D. roared in fury and launched himself forward at Kalmar, the ground breaking beneath his feet from the lunge. Before he reached the demon hunter, however, he thrust his hands downward, and a tornado appeared beneath him, pushing him upwards into the air. At the height of the tornado, he willed his Phase Blades to him and sheathed them. He cancelled the tornado and fell, slamming into the ground and fracturing it further.

Kalmar stumbled from the small quake, and R.D. took the opportunity to punch Kalmar hard with the Godhand attack, sending him flying. The enraged teen shot forward after him and nailed him in the head with a right hook, sending him through a building and collapsing it. Kalmar was ejected out the other side, and R.D. blasted through the rubble, standing in front of the demon hunter, staring down at him imperiously and surrounded by an golden aura of power.

===Within Xobelisk===

I knew you would come, Donovan, Ziatoch thought as He sat on the Throne of Souls. He could feel His own minions gathering around Shayol Ghul, ready for the incoming assault. He stretched out His mind, erecting the barrier around Xobelisk. Not even Maya could pierce the barrier if He did not wish for her to enter, and Donovan surely couldn't.

It doesn't hurt to be prepared, however, the Destroyer thought. He raised His hand and snapped. There was a blinding flash of light within the Throneroom, and when it cleared, the entire ebony tower was illuminated from all directions. Not a shadow could be found in it, and thus no shadow creatures could use them to their advantage.

"This should be interesting," He mused quietly. Re-Tuul, Daemonus, Diablo. Come to Me.

===Above the port===

Re-Tuul heard his master's call and obeyed. He knew the fight was over, but he was curious as to what Kalmar would do. It was easy to tell that even with the Second Cipher unlocked, Kalmar was still the stronger. R.D. only caught him off-guard.

The Khaglessi altered the shield so that it would dissolve shortly, then teleported to Xobelisk in a flash of orange light, finding Daemonus entering and Diablo already there.

Kalmar shook his head lightly as it pounded from being thrown through the building. He looked upwards at RD, suprised by the sudden display of power.

He slowly stood, summoning his greatsword and shifted it to his left hand as he growled at RD, "You are outmatched boy."

With that he held out his right hand, drawing in the darkness around him in a mist. The dark mist became thicker, partially obscuring the combatants visibility. Kalmar's eyes flashed a bright red as his eyes began seeking out RD's body heat.

He began slowly stalking forward, moving the demonic greatsword in front of him.

Let's see you pull that again, he smirked manaically.

----Xobelisk----

Daemonus heard his master calling him, and instantly rushed to the throne room. As He walked into the throne room, he saw Re-Tuul appear in a flash of orange light, and Diablo already present.

He waited patiently, feeling a presense appear outside. Donovan has arrived.

Blazen was now looking about Italy, the ruined one. Demons seemed to only watch as he went by. Blazen's hands were in his pockets as his head hung. The wind around him was bone chilling, yet he didn't care.

Unknown to Blazen however, dark mists were following him, as if it were a shadow. Blazen was too confused to notice as it drew nearer. Darkness wanted him back, as a slave to do thier bidding. Darkness had made Blazen stronger, hence his new Black Fire form, though he wanted nothing more to do with it. The darkness wouldn't have it. Still the darkness trailed him, closer now.

Kalmar turned his head, still crouched low with his greatsword in front of him and a comical look on his face. He quickly regained his composure, evaluating the stranger that had interrupted him.

"This fight is none of your business, whoever you are."

With that he turned back to RD and using his blade, he launched another large dark energy wave.

DragonFire: Maya, what you do not realize if that I am one of the strongest warriors on earth, I had problems before, but not anymore, I will find a way out and take my body back, Then this guy is going down,... I'll save you no matter what..... I swear it.... I won't quit untill we are freed!!
