R.D. was also aware of the dragon, and was readying a surprise of his own, waiting for the beast to attack. Meanwhile, Alasea had stopped to help Hugo out of his go-kart and into hers. Somehow, the warped physics allowed such a feat.

DragonFire: You may have my soul, but my body will not work for you... ZetsumeiRyu is a being of good... I can feel it... My body is nothing but pure, any evil that tries to control it will turn good.....

"Battle?" R.D. sneered. "I'm not going to battle you."

R.D. spun the Phase Lance in his hand and gave the demon a harsh grin.

"I'm going to kill you."

"HEY!" Matt leapt from his cart, and, surprisingly, his tiny frame entered the Dragon Drive with just the same amount of power-cute power, but power nontheless. "I ain't DONE with you yet! You gotta fight me too, son!"

"Drive by that big bastard!" Hugo barked at Alasea. "I'm gonna get his attention!"

"Are you ready to die?" R.D. countered.

Alasea nodded to Hugo. "Gotcha. Hold on!" she said as she spun her cart around to aim it between R.D. and Bruno, then hit the gas to charge forward.

"Let's ROCK!" Matt shouted, rocketing at Bruno with curled fingers extended, ready to rip some adorable gashes in the demon's face. At that cue the dragon attacked with its beam attack.

"Hey!" Hsien-Ko shouted at Hugo. "Come get me!"

DragonFire: You may think you have control of my body... But you don't... Can't you feel it? The tie is being broken... I will soon control the body, and there is nothing you can do to stop it... If you kill me, you kill him, either way, I win... ZetsumeiRyu will be good, he will do what I will him to do without fail.. I can promise you that... *he walks away chuckling* You don't stand a chance... Not anymore.... As long as I'm around... you lose....

R.D. jumped up, thrusting the entirety of the Phase Lance into the path of the beam, guarding his own hand using the Godhand attack. As he pulled the double-bladed sword out of the energy, it shone with a brilliant light, almost as if he held a ray of sunlight in his hand.

R.D. roared as he brought the weapon down hard at Bruno, launching a tendril of energy that would slice through Bruno, Gouka or no.

As Alasea charged forward, she swerved lightly and grabbed a hold of Hsien-Ko as she passed, pulling her into the vehicle. Again, the warped physics allowed it. After that, she shot her vehicle back towards the battle.

DragonFire: You may think you've got me all figured out... *he looks back* But you don't... You're not even close, you've only scratched the surface, you haven't gone deep enough to know what I'm all about.... I don't know who you think you are, but the bond I have with my body isa way stronger than any evil can handle... You'll see soon enough....

Matt's eyes widened as Bruno rushed in. He twisted narrowly out of the way, barely avoiding the demon's path. Drawing his blade, he slashed and fired an energy wave at Bruno's back.

Gotta wait until he turns solid...

"Gun it!" Hugo shouted, firing shots at Bruno, while Hsien-Ko tossed a bomb.

DragonFire: Here's an idea, step out of here with me, fight me far away from this place, then we will see who wins... I can promise you I will win...

Kalmar looked up at the boy, shaking his head as he brought himself to stand. First impression.. and I end up hurting myself.

He stared at the man as he was lectured, "I did not believe it would do me harm, but after what I just went through.." he muttered, trailing off.

Kalmar shook his head again, watching the dark mist behind the boy. Suddenly he smiled genuinely and raised his hand, "But enough of this, my name is Kalmar."

"And you are?"

Alasea punched the gas and easily zoomed by Bruno.

As for R.D., he watched as Bruno came in at him, then lashed out with a stream of water. He forced more than enough energy into the water that not even Gouka could evaporate, although he knew he was going to suffer the consequences of using so much power so soon after unlocking the Second Cipher. Following up, he spun the glowing Phase Lance, lashing out with the blade tendrils from both blades, hoping that Bruno would be forced to revert back to his normal demonic body. As a result, the ground earned a deep gouge, and the demons behind him that got caught in the path were cut to ribbons.

DragonFire: I see... You're a coward... And don't tell me you're not, I can feel it.. I can sense your fear... You sad pathetic loser... You always want it your way don't you? Sorry bub.. Not gonna happen.... *he closes his eyes thinking: Juno, if you can hear me... Lend me your strength!!!*

A barrier raised around the dragon deflecting the spheres, one of Matt's own doing as he flew in. "I'm getting really sick of these cheap bastards." He only had one real shot to do major damage, now if this bastard would just solidify!

R.D. watched as Bruno shot past. He swore under his breath. Now would be an excellent time for Matt to pull a crazy stunt.

Alasea swerved around, her guns blazing at the nearby enemies that, granted, were getting fewer and fewer. "Now what do we do?" she asked her friends.

DragonFire: Hmmmm, I see..... Well... How do I get back to my body anyways... Tell me.... I never wanted this... I was angry at the time... I wanna get back in my body and help my friends... Please tell me....

"FORE!"

Now dressed in a snazzy golf outfit, Matt swung with an oversized golf club into the beam. Granted, the thing melted, but only after he knocked the beam right back at Bruno.

There's gotta be a way to solidify him...hmmm...

"Oh, HELL!" Hugo swore. "Gun it some MORE!" He pointed his pickaxe behind him, and turned on its flame attack to full blast, so the cart would have extra propulsion.

The dragon flew toward Matt, the beam trailing it until it vanished, probably back into the statue.

"SON OF A-" Pulling out another large golf club, Matt wailed the new beam back at Bruno.

DragonFire: So unless I figure out how to kill you, I'm stuck huh? that's just great.... *he sits down and begins meditating, thinking: My energy is less than half, gotta think of something.... Juno, hear me, I need some strength my friend, lend me some of yours, help me to defeat my enemy, bring Kouken into this, Lend me both of your strengths, I have a plan, if you can hear me, please do so, I think there is another way to fuse... Please hear me!!!!* Hmmmmmmmm.......

R.D. summoned a barrier and held it against the Gouka. It nearly blasted through. It eventually dissolved, just as it caused the barrier to fail, and he was thrown back slightly, feeling singed.

Alasea screamed and started swerving slightly, trying to throw it offtrack. Eventually she turned around a large rock, and the Gouka struck it and caused it to explode. Alasea sped away, wiping her brow comically.

R.D. used his enhanced speed and shot past Bruno before he could react, then swung hard with the energized Phase Lance at his back while still in the air.

"Wait. Why am I even trying to bounce these?"

He just stuck his chest out, and the beams just bounced right off. "I'm a CARTOON!"

Matt reached behind his back. "And all cartoons have access..."

He produced a massive wooden hammer out of nowhere. "To Hammerspace!"
