After a bit of driving, the group found the Gateway.
R.D. stopped the truck and got out, helped the girls and Hugo out of the back, then turned his gaze to the portal. He made a low whistle.
"Why do you care that I care that you care enough to care that I care for caring?" "Conversation isn't your strong point, is it?"
"I worship the supreme comrade Cossack!"
"OugharagarraaahhHHH: When 'Ow' just won't cut it."
CAPCOM: We put the "No" in Innovation.
"That is one crazy giant flashy portal thing," Matt remarked, helping Helena out of the back seat.
"That's the Gateway you mentioned?" Helena asked.
"Yeah." He glanced up, sizing the height of the thing. "Somethin' kickass must've made this baby."
"Are you sure this'll lead us back to our home dimension?" Hsien-Ko asked.
Matt looked at the jiganshi and made a thumbs up. "I'm at least 70 percent sure!"
Mei-ling's eyes narrowed. "That's not very assuring."
"Well, want me to go inside and check it out first?" R.D. asked, not really worried about whatever may be on the other side. Just to ready himself, he seized the Second Cipher energy, causing a faint outline of power to envelop his form.

"These things tend to be one-way," Matt said. "We all gotta make the jump."
Hugo waddled up next to Matt. "You better know what you're doing, Matt."
Matt smirked. "Trust me."
Then he looked back at Helena, with a more serious face. "This quest has brought me my fair share of pain, Helena. Once we go in, there's no turning back. Are you sure you want to come with me?"
Helena drew her blanket closer. "...you're the only family I really have now. I don't want to leave you."
"Then you need something to wear...got any spare clothes, Mei-ling?"
"Yes." The elder sister kneeled and set down her pack, digging through it. "I hope it fits her, though."
"It'll have to do." Now Matt looked at R.D.. "I'm asking you the same question, R.D.. Are you sure you want to come with me?"

R.D. nodded. "It's not like I have anywhere else to go," he said. "What about you, Alli?"
The teen girl's cheeks had a tinge of pink at R.D.'s nickname for her, but she answered confidently. "I'm fine. Aisha said to stay with you guys for now."
R.D. turned back to Matt and shrugged. "Looks like you're stuck with us for now."

Matt smirked. "I'll live."
"Here you are." Mei-ling handed her spare clothes to Helena-a more informal attire than her traditional brown outfit. "This is all I have avaliable."
Helena accepted the gift without meeting the other woman's eyes. "Thank you."
"Turn around, R.D.," Matt said, turning to look at the Gateway more closely. "That truck ain't gonna cover her enough."
R.D. nodded and turned, looking around at the surrounding area. Once Helena finished dressing, R.D. readied himself for what lay beyond the Gateway. He was about to say something, when another voice beat him to it.
"Just where the hell do you think you're going?" the voice said coldly.
Oh shit.
R.D. turned and stared into the furious visage of Re-Tuul.
"I don't remember my master allowing you to leave this world, Dragon," the Khaglessi snarled.
"Why do you care that I care that you care enough to care that I care for caring?" "Conversation isn't your strong point, is it?"

"I don't recall askin' your fuckin' opinion," Matt replied, not even turning to face Re-Tuul, aware of the sudden tension of the scene. "We're gonna leave whether you like it or not."

Re-Tuul lifted a claw and fired a thin beam of antimatter the size of his finger at Matt. The beam zipped past Matt's cheek, only half an inch away from the skin.
"If you're lucky," Re-Tuul sneered, "The next world you leave to will be Hell, Mr. Willard."
The Khaglessi raised his claw and pointed it at the group. White antimatter gathered around it, charging for a large blast. "Now, Dragon, I suggest you come with me, or I'll kill all of your little friends here. What do you say?"

Matt smirked, and raised his index finger. "Don't look up."
For descending from the sky with great speed toward Re-Tuul was a giant foot, attached to a leg that seemed to extend to Heaven itself.
Re-Tuul swore as he felt the foot come down, and he took to the air. As he did, the demon cancelled his attack.
R.D. growled. "Time to go!" he shouted to his companions as the demon was distracted.

They all leapt into the Gateway, throwing safety to the wind with the attempt. Only Helena stayed back.
Matt took her hand, then looked to Re-Tuul.
He saluted, with a smirk. "You have a nice day, now."
Helena yelped as Matt pulled her into the gateway, to parts unknown.
Re-Tuul growled as he lowered himself to the ground.
"Don't think this is over, Dragon," he said quietly, "Mark my words."
In a flash of orange light, he was gone.
===Elsewhere===
R.D. was thrown from the portal roughly into a strange new world. He landed on his back. While the landing itself wasn't that hard, Alasea wound up being thrown on top of him, knocking the wind out of him.
Alasea blushed furiously as she looked down at R.D. "Sorry," she apologized as she got up and helped him to his feet.
"Ugh," he groaned, "I'm starting to hate teleportation."
He looked around. "Where are we?" he asked to no one in particular.

Vagabond raced around ZetsumeiRyu, and stopped in front of him. "You're not going back there!" He said firmly. "You talk about Saiyans as if they are the mightiest of all beings. You are a complete fool if you believe that. The angels surpass their power greatly, and the gods surpass the power of the angels." He stated. "You Can't Beat Him." Vagabond said stirnly. "I won't let you go kill yourself. As much as I would like to see you get some sense knocked into ya, I know Xastra will merely kill you, and not teach you a lesson." He paused. "However, if you dare try to get pass me" he slowly drew his swords, "I'll be happy to teach you a lesson." He said as he got into a ready stance.
~With Meta~
The Za-Fuzen laughed a little at Meta's questions. "Juno is legendary. Most every being of darkness knows who he is... Hah. After one kills the past balance of darkness, one's name tends to become rather famous." He answered the first question. "As for who and what I am, I am Shujou Sentou, King of the Za-Fuzen race." He replied.
"Hmp." Meta turned her head away from the Za-Fuzen, looking out of Tartarus as she stood in the Gates' opening. "Aside from Juno, who of these... Warriors of Good, if one may call them that way, do you know of?" She said, not paying attention to the title the Za-Fuzen claimed to bare. At least, not yet.

ZetsumeiRyu: The Legendary Super Saiyan is the strongest being in the universe, it was said that his power is limitless... I am the son of that Saiyan, I have the power to kill Xastra, what can you, a human, do to stop me? All I wish is for my old self back.. If you will not help me then so be it, I'll go alone.... So just back off... This is something I must do... *walks around Vagabond and continues towards the castle* I've made a big mistake, and one way or another, I will correct it....
Shujou was quiet for a brief moment. "There are two others I know of: Blazen, and Jaden Yuki." He replied. "I heard there were others in their group, but their names have yet to reach the walls of the place in which I was impisoned." He added plainly. "Why do you ask?" He questioned, his eyes narrowing slightly.
~With Vagabond~
Vagabond was enraged at ZetsumeiRyu's words. Not only was he arrogent, but the punk had the nerve to insult him. Him! A warrior who had fought and won more battles then ZetsumeiRyu and his father put together!
Like lightning Vagabond was right in front of ZetsumeiRyu again. "I know your father, and I know I alone could defeat him easily. Legion defeated him, and yet you say he's the strongest being in the universe." He shook his head. "Morron." He stated. "I warned you once, that's all you get." He said, and then raced passed ZetsumeiRyu at the speed of sound while slashing at him with the sword in his left hand at least 30+ times.
The others slipped out of the portal, stumbling, but all managing to land on their feet in the grassy meadow.
Except Matt, who hit the ground face-first, his legs hanging over his head in a very uncomfortable pose.
"That's getting very annoying, very quickly," he mumbled into the grass.
"Are you okay?" Helena asked, helping Matt back into a normal position.
"Wonderful." He spat some dirt to the side. "Anyone got an idea of where we are?"
Mei-ling shielded her eyes from the sun, looked in the distance. "We seem to be a few miles out from a city. If we start walking now, we can reach it around sunset."
"Damn, your eyes are good," Matt remarked. He looked toward the highway they were next to, a sparse number of cars zooming by to where they needed to go. "But I say we get a ride."
*ZetsumeiRyu held out his arm and caught Vagabond by the neck and held him there*
ZetsumeiRyu: He was caught offguard, he was unprepared... I have surpassed my father in many ways... I suggest you back off... I have won many battles in my day, from the time I was a young boy up till now... I need to do this, and if I die then so be it.. At least ZetsumeiRyu will be gone from this world.... *he lets Vagabond go and walks away again*
Meta's own eyes narrowed slightly as well. "Nothing." She said. Darnit! No word of my former self, that... mirror of me? And no word of Zane either? Her memories of her other life didn't allow for her to remember details, but Zane she did remember. Pf, better kind of punk that Doctor Prissy Purplehead.

"You're not too bright, are you?!" Vagabond said after he watched ZetsumeiRyu grab his after-image. "Your father isn't as powerful as you think, ZetsumeiRyu! Neither are you!" He readied his swords. Now I'm gonna show you something I'm sure you've never seen a 'human' do. He thought to himself. He ran around in a cricle for a moment with incredible speed, and formed a giant tornado that zoomed straight at ZetsumeiRyu.
~With Shujou~
"You say 'Nothing', but you lie." Shujou said with authority. "So, now that you know my name it seems only right that you introduce yourself." He said plainly.
((Hey you're just as bad with these ungodly opponents that hardly no one can seem to beat, especially me....))
ZetsumeiRyu: Stop... If it makes you feel better I won't go... Jeez you're worse than Juno about this... *he heads for the forest, away from the castle*
"My name is Mo---" Meta stopped in the middle of her sentence. She had nearly said My name is Morph, but she wasn't Morph anymore. Neither had she given herself a name yet. Then she remembered how Xastra had addressed her. Meta... She liked the sound of the name, how it hung in the air. Confident, she turned to Shujou. She grinned and spoke. "My name is Meta." She said firmly. "Recently become leader of Tartaros' legions, and future Queen of the World." She added.

Vagabond just looked at the twister, not sure what he was going to do with it. "Well... I guess it'll die after awhile." He thought aloud, and then followed ZetsumeiRyu. "I'm not lettin' ya outta my sight just yet." He stated. "Now, are you coming with me or not? If not I'll see if I can get my sister to babysit you." He said as he walked beside ZetsumeiRyu.
~With Shujou~
"Well..." Shujou said with a sly grin. Quickly, Shujou started to morph into another being--a human. He now stood at 6'1, was rather well built, had short blood-red hair, and was wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans. He was wearing black dress shoes, black leather gloves, and his eyes were still glowing red. His mark was covered by his sleeve, but was nevertheless there. His flesh was as black as the clothes he wore, almost making him look like a shadow. "Pleased to meet you, Princess Meta." He said as he bowed slightly.

ZetsumeiRyu: Back off, go do whatever, I need no babysitter, I'm heading home... *he heads deeper into the forest, trying to get away from Vagabond, he heads into the tree heading for the middle of the forest*

Meta slightly raised her brow in surprise. She honestly hadn't expected that. In fact... the Za-Fuzen appeared quite familiar to her, but she couldn't put her finger on it. However, the fact that his skin was as black as hers pleased her. "Thank you." She replied, bending her knees a little and bowing lightly. "I take it honour to be called like that by a king." She added, smiling.

Vagabond let out a sigh, and closed his eyes a moment. "Yeah, sure you don't." He said quietly. He opened his eyes and looked up to the sky, a small smile on his face. "Hey sis, can you come down here?!" He called out, but nothing. "Rrm." He let out as he looked at the sky, seeming a little annoyed. "Minerva!!" He shouted, and then a being soared down toward Vagabond. The being stopped in mid-air about 5-feet away from Vagabond, and then landed. It was a woman. Once she had landed the wings on her back vanished, and she looked at Vagabond.
"You need something?" She asked kindly.
"You owe me one, and I'm using it." Said Vagabond. "Keep that bum outta trouble for me, would ya?" He requested as he pointed to ZetsumeiRyu.
Minerva looked at ZetsumeiRyu, and grinned slightly. "Sure." She said to her brother.
"Thanks." Vagabond said with a smile. "I'll see ya later, sis!" He said as he ran off, and then ran toward R.D. and the gang at about the speed of sound.
Minerva ran over to ZetsumeiRyu, and smiled at him. "Hiya!" She greeted him.
~With Shujou~
"All royalty deserve respect." Shujou replied. "Tell me Meta, how do you plan to defeat your foes on earth, and what makes you believe you can trust ones such as Anubis?" He asked bluntly.
ZetsumeiRyu: I thought I told that punk, Vagabond, that I didn't need you babysitting me... Just go away... *he continues walking deeper untill he reasches a house in the center* Hmmmm.... I'm home, now go away... *he walks in a locks the front door*

Meta looked at Shujou with a blank look on her face. "Who says I trust him? I have learned you should distrust everyone and everything, and that you can rely on one thing only: that change is inevitable, and that one day, it will all be gone." She said. "One may not even be able to trust oneself."

Minerva follow him, and zoomed right passed ZetsumeiRyu before he closed the door. "Well, your manners could use some work, but I can help you with that." She said with a sly grin, and then gave him a playful wink. "By the way...who's Vagabond?" She asked with confusion.

"Very true, khendai." Shujou said to Meta in agreement. "I noticed you didn't answer the first part of my question...is there a reason for that?" He questioned.
