Dozens of the beasts screamed as the charge shots vaporized a large group of them. However, the remaining monsters swirled away and rose into the air, quickly surrounding X before shooting themselves down at him in random directions.

R.D. rolled himself up onto his feet and took his Phase Blade from the ground, and charged back into the battle. The shadow wolf shifted his body onto the ground and grabbed Matt's blade between two fingers, somehow preventing it from moving. The monster giggled once more and readied an attack, but howled with R.D.'s Godhand-enhanced punch struck him squarely in the jaw, sending him back.

Before landing again, Wulfe's body dispersed and shot out in seven different directions. They came together again behind R.D., and the monstrocity's hind leg kicked the boy up into the air with surprising strength. Caught offguard by the sudden counter, R.D. had no chance to retaliate, as Wulfe streaked into the air right after him and rammed him. Before he could even move very far, the shadow monster had bounced off of him and streaked off into the nearest surface and bounced back, striking him again. Wulfe continued a relentless barrage, bouncing back and forth between the surroundings and R.D.'s body, giggling insanely the entire way.

X grimaced, but he held back his screams as he fell to the ground, desperately clutching at the creatures. His mind raced to the self-destruct function on his suit... but he hoped it didn't come to that.

Meta turned her head to look into the direction Shujou had gone, seeing him next to the fallen body of Elrick. "He'll be alright." She said to her companions. "Let them be mournful for the time being. We shall meet with them when we return here." She turned and looked at Gilgamesh. "Although you are my sworn bodyguard, I now command you to stay here with the Shujou and the Za-Fuzen."

"But..." The man protested.

"No buts." Meta said firmly as she stared into Gilgamesh's eyes. "You stay here." Leaving no further time for him to argue, she turned around and gestured the others. "Let's go." She said, before facing south and starting to move, slowly at first, faster later.

Gritting his teeth, Matt bent down and disappeared, his body appearing to move upward a bit before disappearing. He reappeared in the midst of Wulfe's midair arc, and threw out his hands. "Electro Net!" From nowhere, an electrified net shot foward and spread to full length-if it captured Wulfe, the net would bind to itself, trapping the creature inside.

Meanwhile, Helena had taken to the air with wings flapping, Hugo in her arms, when she saw Matt fire the net at Wulfe. "Hugo!"

"Got it!" The Mettaur pointed his pickaxe and began to charge, waiting for Wulfe to get captured so he could knock the wolf out of the sky.

Wulfe growled when the net covered him, causing him to fall to the ground. The energy of his body began to flail, readying his escape.

R.D. grunted when he fell to the ground, his battered body aching from the vicious beating Wulfe gave him. Despite the pain, he quickly got up and readied his weapon. Looking at Wulfe, he fired a charged energy beam at the being, but the beast freed himself from the net by dispersing his body and reforming on a pile of rubble.

"Damn it!" Hugo withdrew his pickaxe. "He got out."

Helena now refocused on the shadowy mass attacking X. "Fire on those, then!" she shouted, pointing. Hugo released his charged shot on that command, the crackling bullet tearing through the air.

Matt landed back on the ground, now facing Wulfe head-to-head. He entered his combative pose, and beckoned for the creature to attack. "Hey, c'mon, c'mon!"

The beasts clinging to X scattered as Hugo fired, and the shot eliminated a good number of them. The creatures scattered into the air, circling the battlefield, while a number of them shot down to attack Hugo and Helena.

Wulfe grinned at Matt, dancing on his hind legs. Suddenly, the beast streaked forward across the ground like a lightning bolt, lunging at him and lashing out with his claws.

X hit the ground and rolled to minimize the damage from the fall. Getting his bearings, he ran to the location where Wulfe was engaged with the others in the hopes that his destruction would remove the creatures as well.

"Two can play at that game," Matt remarked with a smirk. As Wulfe launched foward, he did the same, ducking down and shifting forth to dodge the incoming attack. As Matt did this, he passed his own fingers by the shadow creature, with ehough force to dig just as deep as the monster's claws.

"Fly back!" Hugo demanded, as his pickaxe rang out shot after shot at the shadowy creatures. Helena complied, her wings smashing the air as she flew backwards to bring room between her and the incoming monsters.

Matt's attack tore a large chunk of the shadowy energy of Wulfe's body away, but the monster seemed unmindful of it. Wulfe spun around and leapt a short way into the air, hovering near Matt before circling around him several times, claws flashing out in a rapid pace, like some sort of obscene aerial dance. He ended the combo by bringing his claws together and forming them into a hammer shape, then swinging them down at Matt, following up with a kick that'd send him flying at X.

R.D. looked over at the swarm of monsters attacking Helena, and energy gathered into the palm of his hand. He turned and snapped his wrist, firing the Shotgun Cannon. Dozens of large plasma blasts sheared the air between Helena and the ground, vaporizing the remaining creatures with ease. However, at the other side of the bank, a pair of Warrior Ing landed on the rooftop and screeched, trotting over to the edge and looking upwards at the flying pair. They opened small portals, each firing three consecutive beams of concentrated light at them.

Dodging in and out of the combat he charged up his buster, coming in as close as he could to try and get a point-blank charged shot in.

"Whoa, nelly!" Matt remarked, dodging and weaving out of the way of Wulfe's claw strikes. "Son, you're gonna have to do a lot better than that if you're gonna-"

It was at this time that Matt accidentally tripped over a small rock embedded in the ground, leaving him open to take Wulfe's hammer fist. He whoofed air, unable to properly defend the monster's next kick, and so was thrown back by the force of the blow, flying back toward the bank. Recovering quickly, Matt spun about and landed on the street, his fingers and feet dragging through the pavement as he skidded to a halt. "All right," he muttered, standing back up. "That one's my fault."

Feeling a new presence behind her, Helena glanced over her shoulder just as the Warrior Ing fired. Uh oh! She quickly spun, rolling her body out of the way of the incoming beams, and soaring in an arc toward the enemies at the same time.

"Crap!" Hugo shouted, charging his weapon.

"Hugo, I'm going to drop you on the roof so I can fully transform," Helena said. "Will you be okay?"

"Heh!" The Mettaur's eyes narrowed. "Of course."

"All right!" As Helena passed the roof, flying quite close to it, she released Hugo. "Here you go!"

The Mettaur landed before the Warrior Ing, allowing them to size him up, and vice versa. "Hey, boys." Smacking his pickaxe to the concrete, he unleashed his Freezing Hugo mode, and pointed his weapon at the monsters he now faced. "Let's play."

Wulfe landed after attacking Matt, practically dancing on his feet. As a result, R.D.'s sneak attack of a kick sent him sprawling across the ground, but the demon quickly recovered and launched forward at lightning-fast speeds, tackling R.D. to the ground. Despite the speed of the attack, R.D. managed to hold the shadow creature off with his Phase Blade, throwing the monster away and charging afterwards. His blade flashed out multiple at Wulfe, but his agility was greater than R.D.'s speed, and he fluidly avoided each cut. He was set up, however, as R.D. feinted through and past Wulfe, and his Godhand-enhanced strike sent the beast careening across the ground at Matt, tearing the asphault apart as he howled. The creature slammed his claws into the street, halting himself while glaring angrily at the amnesiac teen.

The Ing shrieked at Hugo when the Mettaur appeared, once of them circling around to find an opening, the other curling up in on itself to roll forward and attempt possession with the robot.

"Hey, asshole!" Matt smirked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Guess what I've got for ya!" With a battle cry, he launched at Wulfe with high speed.

Hugo fired at the Ing that was curling up. "Freezing Shotgun!" A large bullet of sheer cold energy swirling around a central point shot at the Ing-as that was fired, Hugo faced the second Ing, ice forming into a jagged spike on the end of his weapon. He leapt at his second target with a yell-"Come on, you bastard!"-and thrust at the chest of the creature.

"Oh hell," R.D. muttered, realizing Matt was going to unleash some attack that'd most likely destroy the immediate area. He quickly got out of the way, motioning for X to escape the blast zone as well. Wulfe spun around, claws bared and glowing snout twisted in a snarl, when he heard Matt's shout. The demon howled and readied himself to attack.

The curled Ing shrieked and sank into a pool of darkness after getting struck by the freezing attack, attempting to avoid harm by moving to another part of the rooftop. The other Ing screamed when Hugo's attack pierced it, the icicle spike impaling the beast's eye. The creature dissolved into dark matter as the other Ing surfaced. Along the streets, more Ing could be seen, attracted by the battle.

X fired his gun rapidly at the "Ing", whatever they were, hoping to pick off a bunch of them. Once again, he was tempted to detonate his armor. It's wasn't even as if it wasn't a little outdated anyway... but he'd still prefer to not have put himself in mortal peril.

That was a pleasure he intended to save for his target(s).

Matt's attack hit first-dashing elbow to the chest, punch across the face, kick to the shin, knee to the vulnerable chin-planned attacks that quickly devolved into a barrage of random, frenzied blows. After the last kick Matt brought his hands together before him, arms straight out, gathering power. As he pulled apart his hands, the power exploded into a short-lived beam of tremendous, bright force. "Deadly Raaaaaave!"

Triumphant, Hugo glanced around. "Anybody else want some?!" he demanded, failing to notice the Ing that were gathering below. Fortunately, Helena swooped down toward the gathering monsters in her full draconic form, sweeping the heat beam that erupted from her jaws along their ranks.

suddenly masterman appears out of no where and start picking off the ing one by one with his cannon on his arm
and charges an electrical beam from his chest and electricutes any in front of him and the ing fall and melt into a black goo and it dissappears.

Masterman says, whoops forgot to introduce u to my little friend, o well.

OOC: Though I appreciate your enthusiasm, Masterman.EXE, this part of the RPG (the story involving me, Rising Dragon, and Mega X at the moment) is closed off at the moment to any new members for story reasons. However, you're free to start your own story or see if Juno would let you participate in his story.

The five-legged cyclopic beasts were stalled back between X's buster shots and Helena's beam, forcing them to retaliate with concentrated light beams from portals while they screeched in protest.

Wulfe howled in protest as each attack struck true, his body flailing with each hit. When the beam hit, the shadow demon was propelled far across the street, slamming into a building with tremendous force, and the entire structure collapsed on it. However, after a few moments, the rubble shifted slightly, and a black blur fired out of it, too fast for the eye to really track. Wulfe began shooting past Matt rapidly from different directions, claws flashing out at him with each pass.

Matt's eyes widened as Wulfe suddenly picked up considerable speed. Uh oh. That wasn't good.

As Wulfe darted past Matt in all changing directions, the boy weaved and twisted, the monster's claws whistling through the air, narrowly missing him with each pass. This really wasn't good. Soon he'd fuck up and then Wulfe would take the advantage...

Time to even the affair. "Radical Good Speed..." Matt began.

An aura of fire surrounded Helena, and as she swerved to avoid the light beams, she descended, coasting along the ground. With a roar she smashed through the ranks of the Ing, flaming shield pushing them aside and scorching their hide.

R.D. charged forward back into the battle between Wulfe and Matt, leaping into the air and slamming into Wulfe just as he was about to assault Matt as he prepared for an attack. The two of them bounced off each other and struck the ground; Wulfe immediately blasted around in the air, launched himself off of several surfaces, and struck R.D. into the air before he could recover.

The Ing shrieked terrified cries as the dragon hurtled into their ranks, many of them killed by the flames and the immense weight of her body. The ones that survived prepared to attack--some of them lashing out with the spikes of their feet while others curled in on themselves to attempt possessing Helena, all of them forgetting the two long-range attackers that were targeting them.

X shifted his aim to specifically target the ones who were after the dragon...

...Then he wondered why he wasn't using his legs. He jumped into the fray and began kicking these "Ing" creatures in the head, all the while firing at ones who were closing in on the dragon.

After all, it was like his mentor had always said..."Kill with your legs, not your back"...or something like that.

Matt's eyes narrowed as R.D. was smacked into the air, but that was good enough, man. Now with Wulfe distracted, Matt had the time to gather the material he needed. The large and small chunks of debris about him suddenly dissolved, breaking down into multicolored particles that flowed like a single mass toward his legs. They reformed into a new shape, creating sleek, shocking pink boots around his calves.

"...Wheels Unlimited!" Matt finished, standing on the tip of one toe, balancing his other foot on his leg in an all-new fighting stance.

Blasts of ice rained down on the Ing from above, fired by that angry Mettaur Hugo. "Get offa her, you bastards!" he shouted, as Helena's powerful form landed in the midst of the Ing forces, her claws and fangs flashing as she tore into them with vivid anger.

As R.D. landed roughly on the pavement, Wulfe looked over at Matt, took one look at his armored legs, and growled. The shadow creature became a black blur as it circled around Matt to attack. R.D. pushed himself up and looked over, looking at the armor on Matt's legs with bewilderment. Last time he used Radical Good Speed, he thought, having heard the attack name and nauseatingly remembering the ill-fated car ride across the Beanbean Kingdom, it turned the limo into that pink car. So what's with this!?

It wasn't long before the Ing were killed, X, Helena, and Hugo quickly destroying them with their powerful attacks. However, more of Wulfe's shadowy minions began swarming out of the dark corners of the street and buildings, gathering around each one to attack.

Meta continued further on, eventually running up a sandy hill, leaping into the air when she reached the top, and breaking into flight, increasing her speed immediately as she did so, allowing her to reach her destination earlier.


Meanwhile, Gilgamesh stared them off into the distance, before turning and making his way to the Za-Fuzen. He didn't mingle with the group, but stayed outside of them. He did not know what to do, but assumed that, if the Za-Fuzen would leave, the others would never know where they went if he did not stay to wait for them and tell, even though he hated to stay behind in the middle of the desert on his own.
