Draken ran into the forest and look around."Zex!Where are you!?"He ran deeper into the forest until he saw Zex sitting down beside a tree.

He was then shock to see Zex bleeding.Draken ran over and helped Zex up."Hey!You alright?"But Zex did'nt even reply.Guess he is unconscious....Better bring him to a hospital which I heard there is a village nearby.Draken putted Zex's arm over Draken's shoulder."I better be quick!If not,we are gonna get burn here!"

~~Minutes Late~~

"Doctor,is he alright?"Draken looked at his comrade who was lying on the hospital bed."It seems that he had suffered big cuts and he is unconscious...He must had gotten in a big fight...Have seen what had happened?"

Draken shook his head,"No,he went into the forest alone but after a few moments,the whole forest was on fire and did'nt knew what had happened to him,"

"Hmm....It would probably take 4 days for him to recover.Anyway,are you from this town?"Draken shook his head,"No,doctor."

"I see...I recommend you to look for a place to stay and eat,so that you can wait for comrade to heal."Draken nodded his head and walk out of the room.I hope you will be okay.

Draken walked out of the hospital and looked around the village."Alright,let me find a place to stay,"Draken walked into the village and saw the villagers walking around in hoods.This place looks weird,why do the villagers walk around covering their heads?It's like their hiding something.

Draken found a neat looking cottage and went in."Erh,may i be able to stay here for 3 days at least?"The owner looked at him and nodded his head.He pointed at a bed which was a bit broken."Thanks then,"Draken went inside and sat on the bed.It seems comfy to me.

"Are you new here stranger?"The owner looked over his shoulder."Yes,I am,"Draken replied,smiling."Actually,it's pretty uncommon for people like you to come here,nice sword you have there kid,"The owner stood up and walk to a fireplace and lighted it up."So kid,what brings you here?"

Draken lie on the bed,looking at the ceiling,"Me and my friend came to do some training but then he is now in the hospital,unconscious."

"Pity your friend there but what happened to him?"The owner asked him,staring at Draken."I don't know actually,I found him in the forest with bad cuts,"Draken explained and closed his eyes.

"Ahh...I see,so kid...What's your name anyway?"The owner sat down on a chair."My name's Draken,"The owner smiled,"Nice name there kid."

Draken was sleeping soundly until he was awaken by a 2 muffled voices."What are we gonna do with the kid?"One of them asked.The other one laughed,"Easy!We will force him to drink water which has drugs in it so after he drink it,he will pass out and we will dumped him into the river for him to drown!"

"Good idea mate!"Both of them laughed and after a few minutes,Draken heard a door closing."So this guys are trying to kill me....Hmm,I need a find a way to escape and bring Zex along,"He got out of bed and headed towards to the door.

Draken opened the door slowly and took a peek outside to see if there was anyone around. "Good, No one's around!" Draken walked out of the cottage and walked quietly towards the hospital.

Draken hold onto his pistols so that he could defend himself if anything happened. "Don't run away, Stranger!" Draken swung around and aimed his pistols at a villager. "What do you want?" The villager laughed, "We just want you to stay! You could have some sleep and food to eat!"

"I won't eat anything from such a dangerous place!" The stranger stopped laughing and smirked, "What a stubborn boy you're!" Without warning, the villager started transforming and his clothes tore into pieces. Fangs started forming from the villager mouth and his ears started to grow pointy.

His body started to have furs and villager had claws.He seems to be transforming into a werewolf!I need to be careful!There might some other villagers here! The villager fully transformed into a wolf and howl.

Draken aimed his pistols directly at the wolf's head and started firing. The bullets hitted his head and the wolf fell onto the ground, bleeding. "That wasen't so hard..." Draken reloaded his guns.

He was then startled by the howl of the wolves, "Looks like there's more of them!"

One if the wolves jumped out and Draken fired his pistols at it and two jumped out. Draken jumped out of the way and the wolves crash into each other and Draken took the chance to kill them.

Wolves surrounded him and started growling at Draken. "Heh,looks this guys are teaming up against me,eh?" Draken mumbled something and his sword started to have fire surrounded his sword.

"Rain of Flames!" Draken thrown his sword into the air and swords started raining down,killing all the wolves which were surrounding Draken.

Draken caught his sword and his sword vanished. Draken ran towards the hospital but more wolves started appearing. "These guys don't know when to quit!" Draken took out his pistols and started firing straight.

~~At The Hospital~~

Draken ran into Zex's ward but realised that no one was there. "You're wondering why you're friend ain'nt here kid?" Came in a familiar voice. Draken swung around but no one was there. "I'm behind you kid!" Draken turned around and was blown backwards. Draken coughed out blood and saw who attacked him. "Nice to meet you kid,"

The owner of the cottage walked out of the room and Draken wasen't surprised. "To tell you the truth actually,I'm the Head Cheif for the entire village and I poisen the entire village and after everyone died,I injected the dead bodies with cells of wolves and the villagers were revived and they were all under my control," The Head Cheif grabbed Draken by the throat and lifted him.

"So whenever a person which doesen't belong here...Will be killed!" The head cheif thrown Draken at a wall and he was smashed threw. Draken tried to take out one of his pistols but the head cheif stomped his hand onto Draken's hand. "Listen up kid,I'm gonna kill you and you will be under my control!"

Draken's other hand started glowing and grabbed the head cheif's leg. He released the power and the head cheif was stunned. "What the?!What did you do kid?"

Draken smirked and used his other hand to take out his other pistol. "This may take you out for awhile!"

"If you leave now," Meta said with a little bit of a shrug, "I will just start zapping and frying the ocean's until there's no bit of water left on this world." She said, slowly building up a slight threat in her tone of voice, but maintaining a rather casual demeanor.


~~ Someplace Totally Elsewhere ~~

In the deserted area where the wind blew softly and grains of sand rolled over and over, time and space were momentarily thrown out of their balance and ripped apart, opening up into a dimensional portal to reveal a few figures standing in the way.

"Here you go." One of them, a mighty animal-headed being spoke up as he pushed his companion forth and out of the portal. This second figure was dressed in dirty, bloodied red battle robes and his arms and face were covered by slightly dirty bandages, even covering one of his eyes. The other one, the right, was yellow, clearly visible, as if the soul that was on the other side was a bright and strong one.

"Thanks for the... effort." The other one remarked, in a somewhat sarcastic manner, as he tried to regain his posture.

"No problem." The taller animal-headed figure said with a hint of sneer. It turned around and gestured at someone, or something, and moments later a few humanoid beings, smaller than either of the two, came stumbling through the dimensional portal.

"I'll be off now. Watch your back this time, and don't let the desert sun get to your rotten head." The first figure spoke again disdainfully.

"I will do that." The second one said as the portal started to close. "Ohhh, I sure will, Anubis."

After the portal had been closed and he had dusted off his clothes, he looked around the area around him and at his new companions, his underlings. "Well then, mates, we must be off." He said, and then he started walking. The underlings followed Gilgamesh suit.

Draken fired his pistol, sending the head cheif flying out of the window. Draken picked himself up and wonder where Zex.
Where is he!? Draken went back to the lobby and waited for the lift. "Had they kidnapped him or locked him up somewhere?" The lift arrived and he went inside. He pushed the button for the 1st floor and the door closed.

Draken leaned against the wall and wondered where the heck could Zex be. "Could he be at the river which the villagers were talking about?" The lift reach the first floor and Draken tried to move his damaged hand but was only able to move his fingers.

He stepped out of the hospital and walked around. Won't there be a sign or map which will lead me to the river? Draken looked around and saw a pole with a paper stuck to it.

He went over and looked at the paper and realised it was the map. Draken used his non-injured hand and holded onto the paper, saying that he must walked into the village and turn left and walked straight so that he could reach the river.

~~Few Minutes Later~~

Draken found the river and yelled out Zex's name,"Zex?! Where are you? Zex?!" He heard rustling movements from the bushes and Draken took out his pistol. He fired it at the bushes and heard growling voices. The Wolves! Their here! He backed up towards the river and eyed the bushes.

The pack came of the bushes and barked viciously at Draken. They were about to pounce on Draken until they heard a howl. The pack started barking at each other and then they scurried away. Draken sighed in relief but then he heard a familiar laughter, "Hahaha! You are still not out of danger yet kid!"

The Head Cheif stood out of the shadows and his eyes glowed. "So,you're just like the others? You're a wolve to? Since you have the same eye as them," The head cheif chuckled, "Yes,I admit....I'm just like them but I'm the most unique one out of all the wolves you saw!" Draken stared at him suspiciously, "What do you mean by that and where's Zex?"

"Oh?Your little friend?His just hanging right up there!" The head cheif pointed at a long pole across the river and Draken looked up. Zex was tied to the top of the pole. Without warning,the head cheif started mutating

Meta charged electricity quickly within her arms when Hydro went down and merged with the ocean, shooting a blast similar to Hydro's uppercutting fist to counter it and give her opponent a nice shock, as lightning could travel through water infinitely more easily than the other way around. Then she turned around, reaching for a hilt, and quickly pulled out a blade of her own to block and parry Hydro's second attack. When he vanished again and shot up from below in the form of a geyser, she extended her hands downwards. From a purple glow between her hands shot a dozen twisting and writhing arms made of tangible magical energy that shot down to block the third of Hydro's attacks against her and throw the Beast back down to the ocean from whence it came.

"Sorry, Fass. This was kind of a last minute decision. We need a place to crash for a bit while we sort out some things."

"Ah," The man said, "don't worry about it, X. I owe you one for DeepNet. We'll get someone to take care of your wounds there."

X smiled a bit. "Thanks. Oh, and I wanted you to take a look at this. It... got broken." He said, producing the sword that Tracer had shattered.

"Hmm..." Fass paused briefly. "X... I need to talk to you, in private." Quickly shooting a glance at the man with X he said, "As for you, I'll have someone to help you soon".

He and X walked off, in the direction of the main city.

After a few minutes of waiting, a large man walked up to X's companion.

"I'm sure you have plenty of questions to ask, so go ahead."

When Meta found herself to be surrounded by a large amount of water all around her, quickly closing in just a slight moment later as if the ocean had suddenly become made of the piercing metal heads of spears, she crossed her arms over her face and curled up a little, in bracing herself for the impact.

The impact came, however different she had thought it to be. A strange feeling came over her, similar to the feeling she had had when she came back to this world from the Nightmare Realm, but different, as if in reverse. The feeling changed later again though and subsided.

When the feeling was gone, she felt confident again, and stretched out her limbs again and flashed her eyes open. She stared downwards at the vast ocean below, in which Hydro dwelled, which was Hydro, quite. The look on her face was grim. Perhaps she should indeed just start to zap and fry the oceans, and evaporate all water on the planet.

After the Cheif mutated, he laughed, "Listen,kid...I will kill you first before I kill your friend!" He tried to pounce on Draken but Draken rolled out of the way and took out his sword. The Cheif grunted and opened his mouth, energy started forming inside it.

A ball of energy started glowing in his mouth and then the Cheif released the energy which turned out to be a beam. Draken sheild himself with his sword and blocked the beam. "Hah!You won't last for long kid!"

Draken smirked and reflected the beam, which reflected back to the Cheif. "What the-?!" the Cheif went flying backwards about 5 feet. "Grr..." He got back on his feet and howled. He jumped straight towards Draken and slashed him.

Draken winced and strike the Cheif with his sword. The Cheif jumped back and growled at him. Draken was bleeding from the wound where the Cheif slashed him. The Cheif again started gathering energy into his mouth again.

Draken noticed that the energy was bigger than before. The Cheif laughed and released the beam of energy. "This time you won't be able to block it!!" Draken decided to jump out of the way to avoid it but then the beam followed where he was going. Draken again jumped another way but the beam kept following him

Oh no! I can't seem to avoid the beam! Draken decided to risk himself to block the giant beam with his sword. The beam hitted his sword and it pushed Draken backwards. "Argh!"

The Cheif smirked,"Stubborn kid! There is no way you can block this beam!" Draken winced,"Yes...I...CAN!!" His sword had an aura of red around his sword and Draken eyes burned. The beam started disappearing and the Cheif noticed something, "What are you doing kid?!" Draken smirked, "My sword is gathering the beam's energy!"

The beam disappeared and Draken hold his sword steadily. "Take it back!" Draken aimed his sword at the Cheif and the beam shot out from his sword,heading straight towards the Cheif.

Bryant and Brandon nodded. Veronica was more hesitant. She knew how weak they were compared to the others and some of Sheena's weakest minions would be a handful. At lenght, however, she nodded, boldly. If they were to search, very well, for they would be no use against Sheena herself anyway. They were better suited to such tedious jobs.

R.D. nodded with them, confirming. "I don't know how long it'll take us to get there, so make sure you have everything you need."

===Elsewhere===

The warrior looked up at the large man, even bigger than himself, and listened to what he had to say for a moment. Finally, he settled on a simple question to ask. "What is this place?"

...uhhh?

Reality failed to manifest.

Where...where am I?

He was in a dark place, lying down. He could barely hear a low hum, and some indication of light to his right, even with his eyes closed. Beyond these fuzzy details, nothing more came to him.

I...I was...

It hurt to remember.

A metal door slid open, disappearing into the ceiling with a quiet hiss, allowing faint light to pour into the room. It haloed around a tall and slim feminine figure as a young woman stepped through it, letting the door close behind her silently. Stepping over to the table, she peered down at the armored figure on the table with bright green eyes, looking over him through her glasses.

Papillon sat down on a nearby stool, watching over the figure carefully, pondering on his existence. Where did he come from? Who was he? How did he get here? There were so many questions to consider. Was he caught in the battle as well? The armor he wore bore numerous battle wounds, the metal plates fractured and bent in numerous places. Was he a Repli-jin? Or someone entirely different?

Carefully, she reached out with the Sensing Mind, hoping that perhaps she can communicate with him, or at least find out the events that brought him here.

...something was irritating him.

What's that?

Old, but sharp defensive measures kicked in, and he forced his eyes open. They grew wider and wider as he quickly noticed where he was now-only a golden ceiling hovered above him, offering not much else information.

What the...where the hell was he?

His body felt weak, heavy...different, but familiar. He didn't question it, he had to get up...

But then he felt the presence again, only this time it was physical, and very close.

"...who are you?" he managed, husky and weak.

Papillon jerked, startled, and ceased her probing with the Sensing Mind. The being was awake, and had already detected her. Who was he? She answered in a soft voice. "Papillon." She stood up and approached the table, moving in a way that showed she wasn't any kind of threat to him. "Who are you?" she asked as she stepped into his line of sight.

Now he saw her. Vision was returning to him-he could identify the hair, the large-rimmed glasses, the soft eyes behind them and her dark skin. Now, he vaguely guessed, he was definitely somewhere that he shouldn't be. Still, she didn't seem hostile.

"...I'm Matt," he replied. "Where am I?"

Papillon gave Matt a reassuring smile, hoping that he found her harmless. The armor he wore was quite off-putting, to say the least, and it wouldn't be wise to take chances. "You're onboard the escape shuttle Kushinada. We put you in this makeshift med-bay when Guy brought you here. Do you remember coming here?"

Her comment didn't necessarily mean coming onto Kushinada, but rather how he came to this planet in the first place. Papillon hoped he could remember, as it'd make this much easier.

"...no. I don't." Where HAD he come from? He tried to remember, but...nothing.

His attention turned to his constraints. "Why did you tie me down?"
